koe no katachi was fucking fantastic, i liked it better than the manga knowing full well what was cut out to fit into a movie timeslot
it was handled beautifully

To the people who are on here saying she a bad director because she "ruined the Koe no Katachi adaptation", you all are morons.
A.) Blaming her because she left out piece of the manga's story is ridiculous. She had to fit several volumes of manga into a single movie. Obviously things are going to get cut, but she kept the main plotline and adapted it well.
B.) The movie was damn fantastic when looked at as a stand-alone piece of media. Don't compare an adaptation to its source material. Just look at the adaptation as a stand-alone because that's what it is meant to be consumed as.

Koe no Katachi goes beyond the anime medium, even breaching into the level of top tier, classic films. Everything she touches turns to gold.
Thank you based Yamada. Make more movies please.
