| Probably my favorite kinds of anime out there. The only downside is that the fights have to be greatly animated for it to achieve a stellar quality, and animating is one of the hardest thing to do in the anime industry. But the reasons I love them is because I get to see their powers in action and the hype is real. There are fights that are repetitive, but those ones that stimulates me with goosebumps and addicting feeling of excitement made me want to watch battle Shonens over and over again. Can't wait to watch Hunter x Hunter (2011), been a while since I've watched a superpower battle Shonen. And yeah, the explosive and powerful kind of battles are the ones I enjoy more than sword/gun fights. |

I still like all the stuff that came before Goku becomes an adult (except the blatant homophobia) but tbh that's when the manga was an action/comedy shonen with titties like Ranma. What it became after that and the genre it invented bore me out of my mind. I had to suffer the Naruto craze here in France and that convinced me to stay away from the whole 200+ eps long battle shonen. |

| It's been three years since I've seen one so I don't know, but back in the day I loved them. Memes aside Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an amazing one as is the earlier Fullmetal Alchemist. You can watch them separately without any knowledge from eachother. Inuyasha is a good one too, especially if you like strong female characters. |

| Not really, most of them are the very definition of mediocre, have way too much filler, and end like crap. Things like Bleach, Dragonball Z, and Naruto have a few moments of awesomeness where the show is really good, but the other half of the show is doing something lame to waste my time. |

| I started Fairy Tail a while back because I really liked the designs of a lot of the female characters, particularly Juvia, but it got pretty reptitive about 50 episodes in and I got kind of tired of it and started feeling like I've seen the extent of what it had to offer so didn't exactly feel thrilled with sitting around for 120+ more episodes of that series plus the stuff that came after it. Recently started Bleach, liking it so far but apparently it gets much worse after the last arc I completed. I'm still going to see it for myself rather than jumping to conclusions based on what other people tell me, though, just based on principle alone. That's basically the extent of my experience with long running shounen stuff. Not a huge fan, not a not-fan, just kind of "I'll watch it if I feel like" type thing like I am towards the majority of genres. |

I glanced at the chapters where he shows up and nothing implies his super narcissistic behavior is caused by his homosexuality. Yeah his character is a bit steteotypical, but early DB used a shit ton of stereotypes for character designs like Chinese, Indians, Native Americans, and African Americans. There's Commander Red who literally commited crimes against humanity because of his small stature, and no one thinks Dragon Ball has a phobia of short people. |

| I fucking love them, I can always count on enjoying them especially if they're long. They've gotten me into the medium and I'll probably still enjoy them even if I happen to grow tired of all the other genres (which I won't). |
