| Well, first off your avatar is already quite good(like wut lol) I usually pick my favorite characters then find an art for the character that I like. I usually just use Photoshop or paint when i need to crop pictures from larger ones I find through the power of... Google. Yeah, that's pretty much it. |

| Most of the time I just switch out my avatar for something new when I find a new character I adore or just a particular scene or facial expression that seems like a fun avatar. That's how my current avatar came to be. But in general just anything that I like to be associated with. I used to have photos of my favorite authors and stuff. |

| Honestly, pick what you want. You don't think. You feel it. :D Ember Spirit, for example, is my favorite hero in DotA/DotA 2. He is a fun, snowballish, zero-downtime hero with Boots of Travel and Fire Remnant synergy. His lore is one of the best in the DotA 2, rivaled only by Arc Warden -another favorite of mine. His voice responses are almost always 4 words long, spoken with zen-like serenity. His only competition in best overall voice responses is Windranger's adorkable, playful, and child-like enthusiasm. Rundelhaus Kode, on the other hand, is one of my favorite characters. | My profile picture changes rather frequently, but I might keep the one I have now for a while since I have trouble not wanting to look at it and I don't want to be somebody who changes my profile picture every week, which I was getting annoyed with myself for doing. Plus, Run is really gud. I usually choose that by finding a picture of a character I find attractive and cropping it to where it fits, is more focused on the character I wanted it to be of (like now) or doesn't break any rules. Forum avatar will probably never change, partly because I feel like it's more recognizable than my username (which is not to say it is a recognizable avatar, just that I have a somewhat boring username that nobody really seems to get anyway) and partly because I really don't want to arse myself to find another picture that fits the resolution and looks this well doing so. I chose it shortly after finishing Yosuga no Sora, which I really really liked, which was the same time I started becoming really active on AD instead of where I used previously, so it coincided. |

Honestly, most people just set it as their favorite character/waifu/husbando. It should be something that reflects you and your taste. | Choose whatever you find appealing to you. As for me, I change my forum set and profile pic monthly just to keep things fresh since staring at the same picture for a while gets old for me. My forum sets and profile pics usually revolve around a certain character or anime. I chose this set for this month because I like the gif animation in the signature, and it's the summer season so it makes sense. ^_^ |
