Somewhat deep episode. I Never thought that the Section 9 were going to disband. And somehow, i always imagined Batou using a Gatling Gun, it just fits him. He was fucking badass there.

Didn't see this coming, section 9's disbandment came as a big surprise and yeah having the help of the Tachikoma's may come in extremely handy.

Can''t believe that Section 9 broke up! But would like to think that in the end they will certainly get back together, preferably if the public would want them back (I know, it's a pipe dream...)
Come on, Tachikomas, get to work and wrap this thing up!

That's exactly how I felt. I was kind of annoyed by them earlier, but now I want them to come in and save the day.
This episode was kind of sad for me. The awesome group of Section 9 is no more. I can sympathize with Batou and his memories of the 'good times' they've had together, but the major doesn't really seem to be bothered by it at all. She's one tough cookie.

My thoughts exactly, it was really great to see one again.

Section 9 breaking up, I wonder how things will turn out with the case and such, and what will happen with everyone in the squad.

You know it (too many hints).

I wish I could stop fanboying on this series, but I just can't, it's so good.

So the shit hits the fan, and looks like the only 4 intact are Batou, the major, Saito and Ishikawa. Obviously Batou is already on the move, and the major is gonna take advantage of that because she knows how he thinks. Wonder how it'll play out for the other two. *suspense*

I can not believe that there is a secret team stronger than section 9, are vastly stronger than all of them put together? Surprising. I thought with that trap everything was solved and instead those hunting dogs are really ruthless! Plot and story are really adrenaline and very intriguing. The drawing is not the best makes good anyway.

Is Borma dead? I hope not. Batou with a minigun just kicksass. Sometimes I really wonder: Many anime titles tend to downplay the importance of the Prime Minister; either showing them being made used by some other high official, or just plain retards who just want to secure his position, doing any means possible. The underground is sure dark.

Eh, politician... The Prime-Minister prefered dissolving the Section 9 and discredite them than denouncing his secretary. Such a coward.

Serano will surely die in an ''accident'' I guess.

But the Section 9 won't be defeated so easily. Batou seem to have a plan in the head. Maybe he plan to retake the QG. I hope he don't do anything stupid. I guess the tachikoma will come to help him.

Now all they have to do is to reveal the conspiration to the media.

If I remember, the Laughing Man have one last mission, I wonder what it is.

This special team under the command of mustachioed man, they are really strong.
The strategy of the Major seems to have an effect only in the middle, but some doubts and questions haunt me, because it is a Motoko held at that clock and the second because the navy is called the base.
Compelling plot and narrative very addictive, I like the mix that put in the story, does not dwell on one topic but traveling in parallel on multiple subplots.
I can not wait to follow the second season, now I can do it.
Great OST!

No, he came back at the perfect time. if the chief didn't tell him to drive him, he'd have been at HQ and would have most likely been killed (he just got injured).

That was an intense episode. I wasn't exactly expecting for Section 9 to be disbanded, but it is a logical conclusion. I'm glad the Chief was prepared for that outcome; it saved Togusa's life. It's probably best that the Tachikomas weren't at the base anymore, too. Whether they could have taken all those armored suits is dubious, and even if they could have, more reinforcements would have come.

I hope Borma didn't die. I'm glad Pazu managed to deliver his seed before being captured.

The political corruption brought in the cyberpunk feel to the series much stronger than most of the previous episodes have. Of particular interest is how important, if fickle, public opinion is. It's treated as something to be manipulated and used. Doing what's right isn't considered by the Prime Minister in this situation.

I hope we get a proper conclusion with this season.

I think he didn't. He probably knew that he couldn't prevent the military strike against his unit. So he informed the major and put all his faith in her/section 9 to survive so that he could rebuild the section with the exact same people once the commotion is settled. Remember the words of the person Aramaki spoke with at the ministry (dunno if his name was ever mentioned)? "Don't worry, as long as you're still alive you can rebuild your unit." I think it's literally meant hint.

I had wondered what had happened to the Tachikomas, since we hadn't seen them in a while. I knew they'd been put on hold because of the self-aware advancements, but being sold off to random companies? Bit of a harsh blow for them.

It's quite interesting to see, though, that because of their intelligence and self-awareness that they can undertake jobs where they have to care for people. Those who require assistance, such as elderly people, often need more than just a cold shoulder to help them around. The emotional assistance they require would not be usually met by a machine. It's a mark of just how far the Tachikomas have gone, that they can even play the role of an empathising caretaker.
It's an entirely different kind of flying, altogether!

In this episode, they weren't stronger but simply stormed the HQ without them noticing and without further preparation.

Although in the end, yes, S9 is not THAT strong, it's just that they have the best minds and preparation in order to take any mission successfully without casualties.
In times where they are a target though...
Also, they are literally fighting against military and government (they were declared a threat and orderd to be disbanded)

S9 is basically its members, and they are tough as hell

This episode was more moving than I remember. For all their toughness and expediency, Section 9 are an incredible bunch of loners. No one sans Togusa has any family worth a damn.

At this very moment, the IMF- er, Section 9, has been disavowed.

I'm assuming that Saito and Ishikawa made it out okay, and at least Pazu was able to send off a message before getting captured. And I refuse to believe Borma was taken down; the shots were off screen, so I'm going to hope that Borma new he was being followed and was the one who actually took out his pursuers.

These guys are badass; we've got nothing to worry about.
