A very soothing and calming episode as well; but I expected that the long-awaited anime would return with a better episode as a start. However, the anime is beautifully illustrated with excellent music. |
| What a great way to start the season. It never fails to bring peace of mind.. First time listening to the OP and ED = Instant Love!! :D More Reiko flashbacks are always nice. <3 The last part about the cup was kinda touching. I hope the series will be even better than the prequels. |

| This was a show I didn't get around to watching while it was on the original run. I'm so glad I decided to marathon the three earlier seasons before starting season four. I so much want to find out more on Reiko's story, but I'm afraid it will be just too sad... |

| The part with the cup was so sweet. I was wondering why there was a shattering sound when Natsume got attacked. Didn't think the little guy would sacrifice himself for Natsume :3 |

| And it picks up right where it left off. It has the same atmosphere as the previous seasons which is exactly what I was hoping for. The elderly youkai turned out to be nice and I liked seeing more of Reiko. Rest in peace teacup. |

| Natsume Yuujinchou, the only anime out there to have your tear up over a tea cup. The animation quality drastically improved from seasons 2 and 3. Maybe because it's in 720p HD now. |
| "I wondered why a person would want to talk to me" This episode made me realize that Reiko is more like my older self, while Natsume is like my current self. I was bullied in school often starting when I was child (and more or less ending 4 years later, but the pain remained) and until a few years ago I often said the same thing Reiko did above. It's just so interesting to see a character that reminds you so much of yourself, even if it's the painful parts. Saying she doesn't like looking at herself in the mirror though, that's what really got to me :( It's a pain I can't understand. |

| Episode that does not start on the sly, but he knows to be gentle and melancholy as is his tradition. Narrative that frames immediately passed Reiko, carrying out what has been done in the previous season, great! Opening that compared to that of the second season, like now, the ending is just as pretty. |

| Season 3 begins with a teacup youkai entering Natsume's house, and an old goddess asking him to help her find her old friend who as it turns out was Reiko all along. Well I probably would have enjoyed this more had it not taken me 90 minutes to get through due to my internet crapping out multiple times during it. Still, a pretty good re-introductory episode. Natsume pretty much spent the first 7 minutes recapping the series' premise and characters via internal monologue. If you're gonna do recap this is preferable to showing old clips. Too bad I didn't stop just before this episode the last time I put the series on hold, it woulda helped. :D The art was visually pleasing. I enjoyed the teacup youkai ultimately protecting Natsume, and the Reiko flashback. It's just too bad Reiko got upset by the old lady not being human. A friend's a friend afterall, but she immediately challenged her to a contest to get her name after learning the truth so I guess she didn't feel that way. Still, she was kind to her when she thought she was human. New op/ed both sounded nice enough. The art style/summer sparkler visuals for the ending were very nice. |

| Re-watching this season. Very nice and comfy start. I liked the story of this episode. Once again, both OP and ED are so beautiful and relaxing. R.I.P teacup. :( He was the hero of the episode. Nyanko-sensei was cute when he ate that ice cream. x3 This was really beautiful scene. |
