I actually wanted to learn more about the first story. The little boy was very intriguing and I wanted to see more of that. Nonetheless, the second story didn't disappoint since it was really eye-catching and wonderful :)

Those two short stories were great. In the first one, I would be scared too if I randomly saw a fox procession with crazy masks come out of a sudden fog. The second one was very eye pleasing.

Aaawhh..... blooming sakura.... ^^

Anyone else noticed that when Akari trains with other girls - or even when she rowed with Mailman-san - they use additional bench with pillows or something like that. And Alicia doesn't :P She's more suteki than before :D

Its probably just me but the beginning of the first story had a very Higurashi feel to it. Mainly when the old lady was speaking in a mysterious manner.

I notice, with the first part of this episode and the first one in the season especially, that there seems to be a change in focus in the show. Whereas previous supernatural encounters were more a device to glorify slightly more mundane situations or to simply show the power of humans for good (such as the trip through time near the end of the first series showing the first steps in bringing water to parts of the planet so as to form new cities and villages), here the focus is more on these events in and of themselves.

I am generally more impressed with glorifying and romanticizing everyday events than I am with creating a new fantasy world, and I think this largely because of how hard it is to do such a thing well in addition to the fact that I can take these explorations of the routine with me more easily.

The first part of this episode did have a good deal of that though; I really began to think about how much time and effort must have been put into building a shrine like that, something that I usually don't think about. The second part was a bit more explicit in its intentions and message, but I felt that it was more in keeping with the nature of the show as a whole, including the previous ARIA series. The creepy woman and the fox procession felt a little out of place; perhaps the message here is not to be too scared of unfamiliar situations? Certainly it would tie in well with the second part.

Also after thinking about happy accidents, I feel myself interested in having some chocolate-chip cookies.

What a lovely episode. Even though it was made up of two short stories, I still think this one is one of the best episodes. Poor Aria, didn't get to eat the bento. :(

Okay so the I thought the first one was a little bit creepy. Those fox masks were just a little scary. :( Also, it was so funny that the main reason why the fox lord was stalking Akari was just because he wanted some fried tofu, lol. I do wonder though how the tofu got back into the statue. Didn't he want it? Why would he return it? Also in the end, what did Akari see? The wind might resemble something.

The second one was just lovely. The quote "If you don't make mistakes, you wouldn't discover new things." by Alicia really touched me. Also, the cherry tree was just pretty. I loved how they lay down there and then all of a sudden, the lights turned on making it look like a very special place, lol.

Both stories were very interesting and beautiful, but I liked the second story the best. I was really touched by Alicia's story, and agree with it ^^

Didn't care much about the first part, but I really enjoyed the second part.
Sometimes mistakes have their unexpected blessings.

Also, Prez Aria cracked me up in this ep.
His face during the supernatural procession and how he eats blueberries the whole time during Akari and Alicia's convo 'til sundown. :]

The Fox Wedding was/is one of my favorites from both the manga and anime. Always good to see it again. I can never remember when it pops up in the anime, so it's always a pleasant suprise. Ooyasan's very deep kansai-ben is a delight!

This was a very nice episode. Just started watching Aria the Natural again after quite a while of it being put on hold -- Akari-chan, Aria Shachou, Alicia-san, the wonderful planet of Aria and the wise words this show interweaves so subtly, all reminded me of how urgent it is to finish the whole series.

this.
When those kitsunes appeared infront of Akari...that was kinda scary(if you were in her place). Liked both parts, the second better. Alicia's story was interesting. Also, i've liked her quote: "There are things you won't find until you make mistakes".

Wonderful episode. Someone above commented on how the first part of the episode felt like Higurashi; I'd say it had more of a Mushishi-esque tone.

The second part had a nice messsage. Alicia is quickly becoming my favorite character of the series.

The first part of this episode was also in season one, right? At first I thought the uploader from the site I watched it on uploaded the wrong episode, but then I remembered that the OP song was season two's OP lol. I like the second short with the cherry blossoms...so pretty. And I like the positive thinking that even if you don't get to where you want to go, you may get to somewhere even better! :D

I appreciate the moments in Aria where they just take in simple moments and enjoy the scenery :>

There's still something lacking from this series though. I really hope I find it before Aria ends.

Hahaha, thought I was the only one that gets both bored and impressed with each episode.

This show is food for the soul, putting a positive spin, a fresh perspective on everyday dealings in life, it really changes the mindset of someone like me who can wind up in a downward spiral of negative thoughts.

Watching this at the end of the day, honest to god, it keeps me sane.

Those islands were rather unique setting for Aria. I can't remember, have the shows ventured much out of Neo-Venezia prior to this? Looks like there's a lot more to terraformed Mars than one overly romantic recreation of Venice.

Like Ai-cwhan said, even if you lost in Aqua, you can still great an amazing and beautiful sight. Yet, another random adventurous by Akari going picnic and visit the shrine only with Alicia-san were really nice, so relaxing, and then the end greet me with so stunning scenery at all must be my lucky.

Despite how normal encounter with mysterious kitsunes god (or whatever it is), the first part feels just okay to me. Only my strong point comes to wander off the shrine beautiful landscape and enjoying the comical and scary facial expressions from Akari. Overall from this episode was okay.
