Hellsing, a secret organization of the British government, has long been battling supernatural threats to keep the people safe from creatures of the night. The current leader, Integra Wingates Hellsing controls her own personal army to eliminate the undead beings, but even her highly trained soldiers pale in comparison to her most trusted vampire exterminator, a man by the name of Alucard, who is actually a powerful vampire himself. Along with Integra's mysterious butler and Alucard's new vampire minion, Seras Victoria, The Hellsing Organization must face not only regular ghouls and vampires, but a rivaling secret organization from the Vatican, and Millennium, an enigmatic group of madmen spawned by a certain war over 50 years ago... A bloody battle between monsters is about to begin. The dead are dancing, and all hell is singing...

Vampires are usually a tough sell for me, but Hellsing Ultimate broaches the trope in an intense, unique, and majestic way that's unlike anything I've seen.

Never mind the beautiful animation, the delightfully superfluous gore, and the spot-on character development; for me, the story is perfect. It's a graceful meld of history, mythology, and action that makes no sacrifices and turns everything up to 11. War, politics, religion... it's all there and then some.

This more than makes up for the original anime. I'd say it boosts the Hellsing name into a whole other realm of excellence, because there are very few pieces of media read more

There are just so many vampire themed animes nowadays. Blood+, Trinity Blood, Vampire Knight, the list goes on and on. Then, once in a long awaited while, you find a gem in the ocean of piss and whale excrement. Oh, this review is going to have alot of vulgarity because I feel that gives off the right vibe for this review. As I was saying, the gem that you find will be Hellsing Ultimate. No, not Hellsing the TV series, that series gave my dog AIDS. In two words I can sum this anime up; Fucking Awesome.

You already know the story. Its about a read more

My friends,

It has often been said that I like Hellsing Ultimate. My friends, I like Hellsing Ultimate…NO. Friends, I LOVE!! HELLSING ULTIMATE! I love the dark animation, I love the gore, I love the action, I love the charismatic characters, the accents, I love the bombastic plot and dialogue! I love any like-minded quality anime that can exist upon this Earth!

I love watching ghouls, vampires and mercenaries clashing in an all-out VAR within the Victorian hallways of the Hellsing estate. My heart leaps with joy whenever a soldier’s limps are blown off followed by screams of agonizing pain. And there is nothing like read more

Hellsing Ultimate is one hell of a ride! The story is pretty straight forward but it works thanks to the great characters and fight scenes. Alucard the main character whom is a vampire is one of the best characters in anime i have seen, he is so cool and fun to watch and every time he is on the screen he shines. The animation looks simpel but it has alot of great details, i have to warn people this anime is extreme brutal and gory. It is one of the most brutal animes in the world, there is gore and blood in every single episode read more

Anime: Devil May Cry
Both have badass main characters who are loners and are very cruel in enjoying their massacres. That's about the whole story right?

Anime: Elfen Lied
Blood and carnage galore. While the themes and motifs aren't alike, the unadulterated blood, gore, and violence is. The main difference in the overall flavor would be that while Hellsing Ultimate is very dark interspersed with Hirano's trademark quirky humor scenes, Elfen Lied has a lot more "cutesy" scenes and harem-esque motifs to fill in the gaps between carnage...

Anime: Kuroshitsuji
Both are in a Victorian-era setting with heavy paranormal activity. Plus, there's also the master/servant thing going on between Integra and Alucard.

Anime: Highschool of the Dead
Both don't have a serious story and is all about the badass characters and the gory action, both have zombies in them, both have bad ass weapon specialist. HOTD has ecchi and Hellsing Ultimate has those cartoon comedy moments. Both are high quality animation Madhouse production.

Anime: Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail
Similar looking, eyes, hair etc. BL:RBT is a lot more cruel than first and second season, it's more like Hellsing, dunno why Revy reminds me of Alucard.

Anime: Tokyo Ghoul
Hellsing Ultimate and Tokyo Ghoul gives the same feels for supernatural phenomenon, gore, and horror.
