By early stuff, i mean the anime that got you into anime when you first started watching.  (You don't have to count your very first if it didn't really contribute to you being a fan.  Like if you watched something like Pokemon as a kid but didn't get into anime until years later.)

Is your favorites list full of "Early Bias"?

Fate/Zero and Elfen Lied were some of my very first anime and they are still in my favorites. Others came around 1 to 2 years later like rest of fate series and Kny.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Bleach and that got me into other animes, after I stopped rewatching it till the last episode came out - * what on earth are those new editing text buttons * -

And it is still in my favs, in my pfps, in my manga favs, well I guess it is obvious.

exactly 0, dragon ball lasted the most, well, if I'm here, let me show this graph
it may look idiotic because I'm talking about anime, but in the end it reflects my mood change in regards to my favs though it's not like I came to hate the shows that aren't in my favs anymore, it's just that I discovered stuff I love more

Yes, more than half of my favourites at the moment are ones that I watched early on. I guess I’m especially attached to them because of that! ^_^  I honestly doubt I’ll ever change them but who knows? There’s still a lot of anime I’m yet to see.

NONE of my favorites are my first except Cardcaptor Sakura.

If you're counting things that I've only seen clips of and haven't fully watched an episode yet, I might put Ranma 1/2 there eventually.

I saw clips of Ranma 1/2 when I started my anime journey, and am reading the manga.

Half of them are early anime while other half is not.

Inuyasha is my first anime (when I started watching seriously) and it's still my favorite but i have kept it's author instead of anime in favorite section. Itazura na Kiss and fmab are pretty early anime while dragon ball z is my childhood anime. Hikaru no Go and Naruto and please teacher bit late, but still within  first 100. (Though I only recently kept please teacher in my favorite)

Anyways it's not early bais, i started watching anime to find specific type of story in pretty later year. Aside from dbz and shinchan, non are really from my childhood anime.

Detective Conan. I've been a fan since the age of 6 and 15+ years later Im still a fan. Call it nostalgia but I truly love this show to death. It will never get old for me. I love the characters, the story, the cases, everything. Its not my favourite show of all time but its the show that stayed with since the very beginning and some ways got me into this world of anime.

Out of 212 series watched to date and taking into account even just my Top 20 as I've had firmly established for quite some time and also laid out on my MAL profile,

My #1 series is my fourth watched series.

My #2 series is my first watched series.

My #3 series is my 12th watched series

My #4 series is my 18th watched series

And my #5 series is my 11th watched series.

And that's just the Top 5. Within the whole Top 20, 10 of them, or exactly 50%, are comprised entirely of series from within the first 20 I watched. Another three are from within the first 25 I watched, and two more still are from within the first 30 I watched.

(I keep track of every series watched chronologically, so I do know the precise order in which they fall).

So 15 of my Top 20 are from within the first 30 out of 212 series watched!

Also, all seven of my 10/10s are from within the first 18 series I've watched.

(Top 20):

1.) Inuyasha - #4th series watched
2.) Koi Kaze - #1st series watched
3.) Haibane Renmei - #12th series watched
4.) Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/Kai - #18th series watched
5.) Kenpuu Denki Berserk - #11th series watched
6.) Serial Experiments Lain - #14th series watched
7.) Noragami - #16th series watched
8.) Shiki - #33rd series watched
9.) Ergo Proxy - #43rd series watched
10.) Beatless - #23rd series watched
11.) Usagi Drop - #2nd series watched
12.) Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu - #40th series watched
13.) Elfen Lied - #24th series watched
14.) Kiseijuu - #25th series watched
15.) Kaiba - #13th series watched
16.) Aishiteruze Baby - #6th series watched
17.) The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - #30th series watched
18.) Akage no Anne - #44th series watched
19.) Happy Sugar Life - #29th series watched
20.) Hyouge Mono - #53rd series watched

2 out of 10, so 1/5th of the total.
In particular, Spirited Away was the first anime I watched which I realised was different from regular cartoons, and I've rewatched it another 2 times since (3 in total; maybe another rewatch is in order).
Heidi was also a "cartoon" I watched when I was a kid, but due to its european setting, I hadn't realised this was also an anime, and at any rate I had only watched it partially, as I had missed the initial episodes. I thus semi-rewatched that one recently, and seeing how it had aged really well, put it in my faves as well (I would've put it earlier, since it was indeed among my fave 'cartoons', but I wanted to be certain it was indeed good and I wasn't remembering wrongly).
The rest I watched more recently, most of them after I started getting more into anime (~2-3 years ago).

If I had a favourites list from when I started watching anime I think it would look something like this

Which Id say looks nothing like my current favs

My fav section as it is now more so reflects my tastes of what I started liking as a horny edgy teenager and as an adult now xD

Besides YGO: Duel Monsters and Dragonball Z Kai on Saturday mornings, my first ever anime was Soul Eater because a friend recommended it to me. It's there bc it's funny, well animated, and has a special place in my heart.

I also watched One Piece and Kill La Kill fairly early on in my life as a otaku, so I'd say 3/10 favorites.

I don't think nostalgia really makes an impact for me personally since they would hold up if I re-watched them. (Yes, Soul Eater had a shit ending, but it didn't negatively dampen my enjoyment of the series as a whole.)

2/7 - Detective Conan and Monster.

I grew up watching DC but never became a weeb yet but instead, as i was craving for more mystery anime it brought me to know Monster which eventually made me a total weeb. Is my favs list full of early biases? No. Even Mob Psycho being the 3rd earliest, i only watched the first 2 eps of it and never continued until several months later liking it later on.

Most of my favorites I watched clover to when I seriously got into anime with Naruto than today. I did add One Piece and and Akage no Anne earlier this year, but I watched those over a decade ago. I might make more changes, but I'm not sure yet.
That said, if I remember correctly, only Ghost in the shell and Ergo Proxy are really, really early ones (like first 50 or so). Not sure about "early bias", but it's definitely biased.

Currently it's 5/10 but that's more because this iteration takes into account the anime that shaped my tastes over the last decade I've been watching anime. Usually it was Hyouka + 1 or 2 other OGs and the rest some newer stuff.

early on in my anime career I knew what I liked but most anime failed to deliver. JRPGs are what attracted me to the medium. But most anime fantasy adventures are either unfinished adverts for manga and LN I will never read or dumbass battle shounen made for dumbass children. Took a while to come to that realization. I actually stopped watching anime for many years because it was such a waste of time and braincells.

But when I came back, I broadened my horizons with a better understanding of what exactly it is I liked the most about JRPGs. It's certainly not the story, heavens no. It's the characters. That's when I started watching SOL and assorted character-driven dramas and comedies.

So, none of the stuff I watched early on is a current favorite.

Gera Gera Boes Monogatari was the first Anime I saw that I didn't know was an Anime. I don't even know what age I even watched it 5-6? I had some episodes taped and would watch them repeatedly.

Needless was the first Anime I watched when I knew what Anime was. Platonic Heart also must have been among the first 10 or so I watched, because I was buying Anime DVDs before watching them online.

So 3/10 of my favourites are still those.

Cardcaptor Sakura is the only one from really early on, and even then, I didn’t start watching it until I’d been seriously into anime for 2-3 years. I’ve also rewatched it a few times since then, including just a few years ago, so it’s not on my favorites based on distant memories alone.

These are my top 10 anime, ordered by how far in I watched them:

Yama no Susume Second Season: 101st anime
Cardcaptor Sakura: 356th anime
Full Moon wo Sagashite: 446th anime
Aikatsu: 520th anime
Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S: 542nd anime
Romeo no Aoi Sora: 1020th anime
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: 1091st anime
Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou: 1691st anime
Akage no Anne: 2344th anime
Slow Loop: 3499th anime

I wouldn't say it's really heavily skewed towards anime I saw earlier. Half of my favourites are from my first 1000 anime, but that isn't really "early".

I saw my first anime when i was 5-6 year old and they were Pokemon, Digimon Beyblade but they were just cartoon for me. Then there was a big gap and my actually first anime was Vinland saga where i appreciate the art, animation, music, story, character. Vinland saga got me into anime world and still it is my favourite.
