| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Haha, the way they transformed back into their human forms was priceless. The OP song has a nice tone of melody to it featuring a variety of characters. I think this episode showed a lot of Kyo's personality which is quite a contrast to Yuki's. They got his rivalry thing going on lol. I find it pretty funny tbh. Looks like the episode also showed more of Kyo's school life. Thought it's really amusing how he reacted at school especially towards the girls. |

| OP is really good, and I still love the ED. Kyo lost a fight... wonder how many more times I'll need to see that, lol. For now, Tohru gets to keep her memories. Lmao, Kyo trying his best to not get too close to a girl in school XD This episode was more Kyo-centric. He's not that bad of a person, just a tsundere. 2 chapters adapted, and this will probably be the constant pace. |

| I couldn't tell you how often i listened to the ED by now, it's incredibly beautiful. Kyo-kun is adorable, hope he comes aroung with Tohru in the house. |
| Seeing it all animated again (specially Kyo being awkward as always) made me unable to stop smiling throughout the entire episode :') They're doing an amazing job so far! |

| The OP animation was quite lazy. While I liked the song, everything else was meh. The ED song was amazing tho, love it. About the episode, I like the cat the most. Hopefully there won’t be too many clichè anime moments |

| Feels like we might have a love triangle at some point, but atm looks like Tooru will go for Kyou. Hope it doesn't become super obnoxious if it does happen. This episode just kinda felt like more of setting things up. We now have approval from the head dude that Tooru can stay (although he seems pretty sketch atm), and Kyou will be going to there school so we can have some SoL high school shenanigans. |
| We're so blessed to have such an amazing adaptation of this, I can't explain how happy I am. Yuki's VA is much better than the 2001 one. Although subtle, it's great to really understand the mystery of the show from the beginning because I've read the Manga, it gives the show a new dimension of how well thought out the story was instead of just feeling like a re-watch |

| The voice acting and cheesy-ness of the original series made me quit as this point but this time i'm definitely finishing the whole series! I love it so far and i think i might be a bit in love with Kyo haha i love how tsundere he is! |

| The new OP looks quite impressive. But the old one still has it's charm and nostalgia. I was wondering "was Kyo this much of a douchebag early on?" I rechecked episodes 2 & 3 from the 2001 adaptation and he certainly was this abrasive. But there were these little SD bits of random comedy that eased quite a bit his heavy Tsun moments. https://imgur.com/a/bwoEYfH It was a great episode in terms of pacing and giving in the details on the lives of Tohru and the gang. But certainly the old adaptation added a lot of flavor to the original story. Like Tohru cleaning Shigure's kitchen, it adds a lot of Tohru's charm as a hard working girl and her selflessness. I still don't like this Hana that much, her voice comes out just too dry, she doesn't have the fun the old deadpan Hana had. The joke of her chasing the Yuki fan club feels like a real joke in the old adaptation with the comedy styled music and the exageration in animation in the fan club members. Shigure chasing Kyo in their living room feels more alive in the old one with the great drums playing adding tempo to the skit. Both jokes Hana chasing and Shigure chasing Kyo just feel like visual gags, with me just recognizing them as a joke, but at least for me, it fails the purpouse of a joke wich is to make me laugh. |

| Kyo's always has been an entertaining character for me, not just with him getting whooped in a fight against Yuki, but his abrasiveness and tsundere responses are also filled with funny moment within them. Still, you can tell that he's trying to improve as a person, as shown with his interaction with Tohru near the end of the episode. The OP was also played for the first time and it felt relaxing and peaceful. It goes well with the ED song, too. They're one of my favourites so far this season. =) I know it's only two episodes in, but the staff at TMS Entertainment have done a great job so far, with the pacing and visuals. I hope that they keep up this quality throughout the whole of the first season. =D |
| The opening scene with the delivery man was gold, just like the moment when they turn back into humans. And what a beautiful OP! Just like the ED! Well, Tooru found out their secret and this could have serious implications, like her memory being "erased" just like that. I don't know this Akito person very well yet, but what they said to Yuki after that incident when he was just a kid might have been their own way of protecting him or something, but it was still cruel. But Tooru was "accepted" by this Akito and her memories are out of danger. At least for now. Shigure is hot wearing a suit by the way. Not that he isn't when wearing a yukata. In fact, I think I prefer it. lol Then there is Kyou-kun, who is really adorable. He is rough around the edges and a bit of a brute, but that's just because he is really awkward and clumsy when it comes to interacting with other people. So I can't help but find him endearing. He is also really cute when he blushes. I love how Tooru was very open and told him that she loves the Zodiac Cat. Well, is it Friday again yet? |

| Tohru must be protected, she's so nice I would give my life for her. Now, for serious, I liked this episode, it was 2 much fun. The OP was a little bit boring (typical shoujo OP) but the chapter itself gave me everything I expected: some character development (I wanted to see Kyou in action), explanations and how she will fit in that house. Liking the series, let's see how it goes. |
| The OP is so goddamn soothing. Dunno how many of us feel this but Kyo doesn't feel as likeable in this interpretation? Er, in the old one we at least knew he didn't mean being so rash/there was still some softness to it, the comedy kept it lighthearted. In this one I don't really feel the same way, he's more of a jerk lol. I think it's just the music and timing, I'm not feeling the comedy. Anyway. Why can't next friday come sooner sigh. |
| So far so good. Really peeved at the subs saying "Soma" when it's very obviously pronounced "Souma/Sohma". Super peeved. |

| The opening and ending are <3 I'm glad that this series is still going strong. The pacing and atmoshphere are super comfy, the bits of comedy are amusing and Tohru is putting a big smile on my face. |

| Have to say that this is quite funny so far.. Kyo seems to be best boy already, his interactions with the others are quite funny. His blush is pretty adorable if you ask me, I don't say that often about boys XD |

| i'm already in love with kyo. i'm always a sucker for the trope of tough boys with a soft spot for a certain person, and i'm so happy that yuuma uchida gets to carry that out for us, first with ash and now kyo :') favorite moment was definitely when kyo wholeass jumped out the window. that was too good :'D i gotta say, that OP has a really melancholy feel that i really like. personally i like the ED better so far, but it may grow on me. really enjoying this anime so far |

| Hmmm. This episode pretty much adapts chapters 2-3 of the manga. Noticed some changed or cut stuff... -Tohru's school uniform was still dirty from the events of the prior night in the manga, thus wearing a gym uniform and having to wash her school uniform at school. Her school clothes were clean in the anime. -A manga scene where Tohru's wallowing in a classroom after Kyo's outburst toward her, with Hanajima and Arisa later finding her was cut from the anime. -A few lines from Shigure's lecture to Kyo about learning to socially connect with others were removed from the anime. Otherwise, episode's still pretty faithful to events from those corresponding chapters. |
| The OP song is very good but [the old song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUDSedRJHf4) is unbeatable. I wish they kept it as a background soundtrack or something:) The remake artwork and animation are SO much better! The story flows more naturally now. The smooth animation makes Kyo's personality more interesting than how he appears in the manga. I find the Cat more relatable now than back then. Back then, a lot of anime male characters were voiced by women. But now, male characters are voiced properly by men. This is a great change! |

| I like the op very much.. but ed with that piano intro so good too.. Kyo so tsundere lol.. still feeling weird about smoke tho.. I didnt watch the old anime and manga but im enjoying this anime so far.. i think people should stop compare it to enjoy it a more.. but it cant be helped.. people cant unread and unwatch what already be done.. so yeah whatever.. |

| This anime is so shoujo, to the point it reminds me of the manga ideas from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun. I am wondering. If this transformation thing runs through the family, how do they get born? Did it just turn into bestiary mid-way? |

| Great episode. As many people have mentioned, this has such a nice and classic shoujo feel to it. It's also pretty soothing to watch. The OP and ED are beautiful. :) Liking all the characters already, I did see quite a lot of male characters in the ED so I guess a question to the manga readers. How reverse harem does this get? Does it ever get overbearing with too many relationship interests? |
