The official Twitter account of the Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) manga posted an image of the cover of the series' Jump Supporter Book, which will be released on November 4, revealing that a TV anime adaptation has been confirmed. That tweet has since been deleted.

The manga series is drawn by Kouhei Horikoshi and has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump since July 2014. There are five volumes of the manga in print, with a sixth scheduled to also go on sale on November 4.

The first three volumes of the series respectively placed 100th, 74th, and 92nd in Japan's yearly manga rankings for the first half of 2015. VIZ Media is publishing the series in English with the second volume scheduled for release on November 3. The first English volume remained on The New York Times best seller list for four consecutive weeks.

Last week, it was revealed that Toho Ad, the advertising subsidiary of Toho Group, had registered the web domain heroaca.com. The site is not yet active.

Synopsis
People are not born equal, a realization that 4-year-old Midoriya Izuku faced when bullied by his classmates who had unique special powers. Izuku was one of the rare cases where he was born with absolutely no unique powers. This did not stop Izuku from pursuing his dream, a dream of becoming a great hero like the legendary All-Might. To become the great hero he hopelessly wants to become, he now will join the ranks of one of the highest rated "Hero Academies" in the country: Yueiko. With the help of his idol All-Might, will he be able to claim the ranks and become a true hero? (Source: MangaHelpers)

Ohh this is exciting, I love the manga. If it's done right it'll be phenomenal. Kinda hoping for madhouse to get it and give it a kind of hunter x hunter vibe.

I've heard lots of good things about this, but honestly it doesn't even sound remotely exciting to me. Just your typical shonen fare as far as I'm concerned.

This will become the next Overhyped new Big 3 anime of the decade.
It`s Generic and completely forgettable.

90% this will be produced by Toei, Pierrot or A-1 Pictures.

No thank you, i`m sick and tired of poorly-written Shinji Ikari clones.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, that's great news and all but it is way too early to give My Hero Academia an anime. Were it at 100 chapters, maybe but right now it's just starting a new arc after to ending a fairly short one. I am happy to see this, but I honestly think they should have gave it more time.

The Seven Deadly Sins is from Weekly Shounen Jump and one of the most popular manga series and they have been adapting it, so there's a possibility but doubt it a they're busy with The Seven Deadly Sins (or will start soon enough) and Fairy Tail still plus have quite a busy schedule already planned out.

Hope Bones, Sunrise, I.G or Madhouse get this. Wouldn't mind A-1 as I thought they did a good job with The Seven Deadly Sins.

With the end of this arc there'd be enough enough content to do 25 episodes. If they are announcing it at this point they won't make it continuous like naruto or bleach. Plus in this format the show can be much better animated. I wonder if they will push for an international audience, this show is something that could blow up in the west.

Different publishers behind them most importantly. Jump is Shueisha and Shounen Magazine is Kodansha.

Sees "TV Anime of Week---" in Forum front page.
I hope it's Boku no Hero.
It is Boku no Hero.
I'm glad but considering it is weekly with around 60 chapters so far, Isn't it a bit too soon? I'm really hoping this will become a long running anime, but for that to happen, looks like we'll be expecting a bit of fillers unless it's gonna be a 2 cour anime.

the manga is already popular in the west, with 4 consecutive weeks in NY times best seller.

So it can be a hit, if not screwed up..

A bit too early but I guess Shueisha really wants to give it some exposure as soon as they can in order to increase the sales even further.

Hopefully the studio behind this is Mappa or Bones.

This was inevitable but I'm glad to see this finally happening. This reminds me that I really need to catch up to the manga.

Hopefully Pierrot and Toei stay as far away from this as possible. I don't mind if literally ANY OTHER STUDIO does it, as long as it isn't them. And like others are saying, it would be nice if Madhouse did this, but let's face it, they'd either have to make it long-running like HxH, or they would produce one season and then possibly never do more. So Madhouse is probably not a good choice for this.

Side note: What I'm really interested about is who's going to voice Bakugou the potty mouth.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

This isn't surprising in the least, it was inevitable especially after the announcement last week.
I have a soft spot for this series. It's nothing unique and it's a shounen by the books, but it's endearing in its art and storytelling. For the demographic it's very good.
Let's hope it gets a good adaptation at least.
