| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Mm, so we get a little bit more of music playing this episode. Asuka still remains energetic. I just love her in this series so far. Looks like we are also introduced to the teacher this episode. He makes kinda of an interesting impression I guess. I also wonder how much we'll learn more about Kumiko regarding her past though in this season.  |

| Good that we get some music in this episode,but the rest was once again meh imo.Idk why but I don't like Asuka at all,probably alone with this ;D I hope more music next week,but it's KyoAni so I don't expect anything.I don't even know why they make a music anime and then don't focus on some Jazz but instead on some really bad characters.KyoAni proves once again why they are content wise the worst popular studio IMHO.To not end it on an all negative note,some scenes & background looked amazing(as if they weren't even animated lol).I guess this will keep me watching...and the hope for Jazz. |

| Haha I play Tuba myself and can kinda relate to Hazuki, especially that everybody is makin it sound Tuba is the best thing ever, well I didn't regret it though. I like it thus far, still I'm hoping for more :> |
| Main still annoying. The best characters are Asuka (by a long shot) and Taki (only introduced at this point, but that's still enough) Again alright episode. |
| I enjoyed the recruitment part and with the teacher coming too. Aoi is pretty interesting to be the only opposition. Sort of establishing her character, but I like her realistic view on how going to the nationals is pretty hopeless, but the pessimistic attitude towards the band, she is at least honest about it. I honestly thought Kousaka forgot about Kumiko, like one of those moments where a person gives it a lot of thought but the other side didn't, which is still true. |

| She couldn't hide her past, but i don't think it's wrong that she is playing something she is familiar with. Makes me wonder how well she will perform. It seems to me that the band will need a lot of practice to reach the finals tho. |

I love the direction this took. It just shows that Kousaka doesn't despise her for what she said, but doesn't consider her a friend either. These relationships are starting to feel real. I'll be expecting some good character development throughout this. |

| Asuka taking Midori in her team had some subtle Yuri vibes. "Come on, baby... Contrabass-chan, you're mine from now on." :3 Tuba-kun part was hilarious! Asuka's instrument of destiny talk was effective enough to convince (gullible) Hazuki. XD Liked how Taki-sensei didn't force a goal on the students but rather let them choose the objective. Pretty chill personality he has. Aoi's conversation with Kumiko were nice, but it seems like she has her own share of personal problems. "Establishing an alibi" could just be a pretext. Decent episode. Midway cards in this show will probably mention names of different instruments from now on.  |

While kumiko looks afraid of her past (probably the root reason for her changes (hair, club, instrument) that she eventually got back to) due to that event, Kousaka seems to just move on fine, she knows who she is and looks fine with that. I still like this MC either way, she looks quite natural and personally sympathizable |

| My gosh Asuka manages to continue to show why she is best girl.....Everything that she does and says is just so great >//< Her energy is contagious and I freaking love that about her We got formerly introduced to some other characters like Aoi and the president as well as to get more insight on the cool music teacher, Kousaka (Whom I also adore) and Kumiko....Seeing everyone pick their instruments and their collective goal was pretty fun and the music that we heard was good too Overall it was a good episode and it helped to setup future plot points and character development....Can't wait to see their first practice session next week :) P.S. With this episode I think it's safe to say that I actually like majority of the girls in this series =o |

| Hoo... so Kousaka does remember Kumiko after all. The pace is a bit slow, but I don't mind it at all, in fact I enjoyed it. Fast/rush pacing would probably be harmful for this series. Good impression from the advisor, like his character so far. |
| Gotta love Asuka's character, she's pretty fun lol I thought Sapphire would just be a ditsy character and just be there to be cute, so I'm glad that isn't the case. A bit slow paced but I don't mind. Wonder if there'll be romance in here, even if just a bit. Welp, it doesn't really matter if there isn't, but I guess it'd be a plus if they did. |

| There is always a beautiful standard that KyotoAni will meet animation wise and I think they just got better. Knowing how they make slice of life anime, I'll just enjoy this show even if its animation alone (And I hate myself a little for that). |

| Asuka is carrying the show for me. Other than her, it was about as mediocre as an episode of anime can get, nothing bad, but nothing particularly interesting either. I can only hope it becomes more music focused as soon as possible. |

| Goddamn, I can relate too much to Kumiko and this entire episode. I'm sure a lot of people here can relate as well. I sure as hell don't like choosing between what seems like the right answer (Nationals) and something that might seem wrong (doing band shit for the fun of it), but really don't have a right or wrong and ultimately choosing the safer of the two choices. And as anticlimatic as the Reina x Kumiko thing ended, it really was the most realistic outcome. Nothing big came of it, and no one really cares. I don't even know if Reina even remembers her or what happened. It's just Kumiko sweating over the small stuff. This show explores some interesting social dynamics (can't think of a better and more simple term for it); I wonder if this will be a thing throughout the show. Asuka's also amazing. "COME ON, BABY..." |

| Good ep. Really liking Kumiko a lot. Her voice is so cute and her personality is really nice :3 Asuka is hilarious XD Liking the new teacher too. The way he made them choose between serious and fun was nice ^^ |

| Kumiko, Aoi, Reina seem most likeable to me so far. Energetic-clown types like Asuka are alright but I don't see what the fuss is about. Ep was entertaining and made me laugh, look forward to next week. |

| Watching this show makes me happy. That's the only way I can describe it. I'm not sold on the drama part yet, they could do a better job at summarizing the characters' long speeches/monologues into shorter versions (like they did with "those 3 years will pass in a flash"). I like the male characters and I really hope that they get more screen time. The art is stunning, Hibike is probably the best-looking Kyoani series (and that's saying a lot). |

| Wow, they really made an effort to do this right. I feel that some great effort from KyoAni went into this slice-of-life. Finally! And they really got the mood right. | Still pretty slow going. Maybe it'll pick up next time now that their teacher has been introduced/they've decided to aim for nationals? Hopefully the show will get a little push next episode to make it a bit more interesting. Man, there are a lot of people in the band. I'm sort of wondering where this show is going, I guess. |
