| And....the end ;_; The montage played in the beginning of this episode was sad. The top of the world tree is awesome though. Loved it with Gon and Ging talking up there. So yeah, the show is over. I'm going to miss this. I think the manga is on hiatus right now so.... I hope Togashi gets better though. Rating this 9/10. Great show overall. |

| Some nice, small filler scenes at the beginning of the episode that capture the journey of Gon beautifully. They also included a little Parasyte reference (nice way for the HxH 2011 staff to hand over the torch to Madhouse's next production) as well as a small Togashi cameo. The climb itself and the talk with Ging were well done, albeit a bit slowly paced for obvious reasons. I loved how silly the birds looked, the hints at the Dark Continent arc and it was overall a good way to lead to the final segment - the last montage of this anime. The last few minutes are indeed spent on chapter 339 while "Departure" plays in its entirety; the best possible stopping point for the show. And so, it finally ends... after 148 episodes, a great ending to a wonderful story. Madhouse did a fabulous job adapting this manga and managed to pull off an excellent adaption of one of the best action/adventure Shounen manga. Well deserved 9/10 points, thanks for the three years of quality entertainment! PS: To everyone who wants to skip to the manga right now: Start with chapter 340 and buy the official scans from WSJA if you live in North America. |

| Well watching this has been fun 8/10. Probably the best shounen anime I've seen.Would've rated this higher if it hadn't been for the Chimera Ant arc. Dark Continent arc probably won't be adapted till 5-10 years from now. |

| All good things come to an end. Absolutely beautiful adaptation done by Madhouse. But they shouldn't have used Departure at the end of this episode. I would have preferred silence, just like how the chapter was named Silence. Was still pretty sad. ;_; |

| Hmm, maybe it's because of the contents of 339, but that didn't look like a real ending to me. It looked more of a season finale. The way they presented it also didn't look like they weren't gonna make any more of the anime ever again. |

| Oh boy, now I feel hollow inside. Perfect ending for such a great anime. (A shame we didn't hear Hunting for your Dream again for one final time, though.) Absolutely loved the foreshadowing of a few things in the remaining manga chapters as well. |

| That beginning and ending of the episode ~ ;_; The OSTs while Gon was on his way up the tree, just... omg Gon climbing that tree from the 500m mark took him only 20 minutes, omg haha Both him and Ging talking about what has happened throughout their journey ~ Gon giving Ging his Hunter card back So sad to see it end. | You can cryyyy again ;_; That ending with Departure only made it worse. I'm kinda happy that I started watching this very late (start of election arc) because I didn't have to wait for so many episodes. Easily goes into my top 5 series. I already started watching the 1999 series as a replacement, and after that I'll probably re-watch the 2011 one starting from where the 1999 one ends. And start reading the manga of course. I hope that the anime will return eventually, once Togashi has made enough material. Which will take looong, because hiatuses. |

| Fabolous ending ep with lots of memories which just made it perfect. The highlight for me thought where the big birds at the top, YOPIE YOPIE XDDD Seems Kurapika also managed to gather more eyes of his clan, I wonder what happened... I think that's the current arc of the manga but I'll leave that for at a later date, Anyways good job Madhouse, the only one I like that you guys created xD |
