| My initial thought when i saw the "inside" text, was that it would squeeze your soul and body into the last layer of the matrioshka. I'm not sure if that happened or not. |

| Wow I never thought the dolls would be creepy until I saw this episode. My family always gets me some as presents since my family nickname is derived from matrioshka dolls (yes thank you mom, what a genius idea) so now that's ruined for me too >.< I love these shorts, the episodes have a fitting atmosphere and leave you creeped out but still excited and wanting a new episode quickly :D I agree that this season isn't exactly as great as the last (Wow dat elevator episode, or Zanbai. Goddamnit :s) but these episodes are still interesting nonetheless. |

| Horror is very personal thing and very tiny, specific aspects you might not even realize can scare you way harder than something more obvious and universal. I would consider all yami shibai-episodes to be at least relatively successful producing old japanese horror stories. These wouldn't have been animated if nobody found them scary. This wasn't one of the more disturbing ones for me, but the last week's episode hit pretty hard. I have a thing with slowly creeping things you can't stop and rapidly spreading and inflating things. |
| Not scary at all, are they focusing on making things "mysterious" this season or just me? Because other than some randomly thrown horror aspects they aren't managing to be scary or horror :/ Did they change the storyboard writer this season or something? |

| So it's some sort of Pandora's Box of souls in the form of a Matrayoshka doll, which I have lying somewhere idk in the house... Good grief... I didn't find it that scary but after a good night's sleep (I've been watching horror all day), I might have the energy to jump and react properly the second time I watch this~ |
