| I'm surprised how much fun I'm having with this show. It's like the daydream fantasy anime equivalent of buying chickens, beehives, business microloans etc. for people in developing nations via international charities. None of my favorite anime characters are male. (Except Vampire Hunter D. :D And Monmon the water spider, but he's a spider.) I read that there's very little tension/drama/conflict at all in this story, it's a harem slice of life in another world. So if you're going to recommend something else instead, what are some other shows like that? I don't need it to be funny or unique. Being "plain white toast" makes it unique from most other comparable shows I've seen. | Despite being your typical generic harem fantasy. This anime somehow brings me smile. The MC is generic, but I like how he's so nice and not a retard. I think Kazuma will be extremely jealous of this guy. He got an OP power in the first place and useful harem, errr I mean allies. While Kazuma got stuck up with no money in the first place, and must do hard labor with useless and retarded harem XD. It seems Kirito-kun have a worthy rival. The girls are also nice and no so far surprisingly no tsundere where the girl punch the guy. But they don't have any unique personalities. The twins reminds me of Kyou and Ryou from Clannad, except they are more cheerful. The twins even hug him without any embarrassment. I'm probably the only who like that the girls immediately are interested with the MC because he's nice and OP. To me I prefer this kind of anime over a complicated anime like Mahouka Kouko, Tokyo Ravens, etc. The only thing that I dissatisfied about this anime is that they didn't explain how the guy die in his original world. Maybe we get an explanation someday. So far this anime is enjoyable for me. To me this anime is a combination between Konosuba and Rokudenashi Majutsu. |

Her voice sounds edited. My main problem so far is that they're not even pretending like they have an endgame in mind. So far they've only been doing SoL shits but they're doing it badly. I have no idea what the MC's going for in this new world that he's living in. That, combined with how bland this show is, just adds up to a whole lot of meh. Oh no I'm not dropping this shit. I'm gonna keep up with it every step of the way just to waste my time and tear this show a new one. I used to think that hate-watching isn't a thing, look at me now. |

You can't just counter an argument by telling the person who made the argument to do the thing they're critiquing. This show had an entire staff of professionals making it. If even then the animation quality is still poor, then there's something wrong behind-the-scenes. The animators could be rushed or maybe the director doesn't really give a damn. But at the end of the day, they made a show. And that show should be judged the same way as any other show. And the fact is that this show's animation is kinda garbage. |

| I can see how this wouldn't be the show for people given the expectations most people have for isekai shows. That said, I can't help but enjoy this show a lot. Even with all the flaws and the lackadaisical plot, I just can't help but enjoy watching it. It's lighthearted, and it's surprisingly self-aware of its own genre. It pokes fun at other isekai shows regularly, which makes it have a very slight "parody" flavor. Maybe that will become more pronounced later on, or maybe it will become less noticeable, we'll have to see. I don't mind that the smartphone isn't being used super heavily in these first few episodes. The practical/OP applications of such a device can't immediately become obvious to the MC, because he's used to using it in his world where it's a standard tool used to make aspects of everyday life more convenient. I think the usage so far is very realistic and believable. MC isn't a genius, he's an everyman (identified as a Gary Stu by some watchers). Overall, I'm not expecting the show to become absolutely amazing, but I'm going to keep watching because it's basically just a slice of life with interesting fantasy world-building, which is very interesting to me. |

Instead of world-building or even remotely trying to make a story with a beginning middle and end, that's what they decided to focus on first. The harem. Which I might add, isn't even that interesting. I know good harem stories are hard to make these days, but they didn't even try. The first 2 girls he meets instantly accepts him and doesn't even question who he is and why he's so powerful. Wait no, they DO question who he is, but they didn't really follow through with it and just give up trying to find out the answer midway. To make a good harem story, no, good stories IN GENERAL, one of the things you need are belieavable characters. They don't even need to be relatable or morally good, you just gotta understand who they are and where they're coming from. And so far, the only things I know about the twins, is that they're on some sort of journey doing god-knows-what. And don't even get me started on the MC. God that guy's so bland. Also, I am not planning on dropping this show. If anything, I'm gonna watch it until the end. |

| I dont know what it is, but its quite enjoyable to watch. Probably because so lighthearted n sht. I do wonder when are they gonna introduce those talking teddybears or whatever they were. Quite curious about that. They look like fun. |

| @FlameTaJaDoru I agree that they accepted him way too fast and he befriended everyone without any trouble in a very short time, Duke trusted him way too much. Everthing is going way too ideally for him. I agree that its hard to believe everything that's going on. You should look at this from a different angle. You already know that God really feels bad for killing him with lightning so he made him very powerful and Sent him to a world with no problems where he can relax and have fun, its not a dark world like ours. Its the world where people dont doubt others,where they would easily trust you with all their secrets. That's how i see it. |

| I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with this episode... but... it just felt underwhelming. The only time the MC has used his smartphone (which is in the title of the series) is to... make ice cream? So far it's just a stereotypical, average fantasy harem with no twist whatsoever. I can see it's appeal to its audience however, how the MC is living in a perfect ideal world where himself is perfect and ideal - a self insert to the Japanese audience watching who likely do not have such an ideal world. Maybe I'm being too deep. Only still watching because of the waifus. |
| Fun episode. Second episode's already gone by, and I dunno if this is an adaptation problem or if the LN is like this as well, but the pacing is... pretty fast? Aside from that, I don't think the anime's trying to be anything more than a kick-back adventure with little to no real problems with how powerful the MC is and how convenient magic is in this world. Seriously, just from the sound of the spells and the affects they have, it seems there's a spell for literally anything you can think of. Other than that stuff, Yae was pretty damn adorable. She seems skillful but clumsy and was a fun addition to the party. |

MC asks one of the twins if she can save the old guy if the arrow is removed. /proceeds to do everything on his own. What was the fucking point of asking her? |

 I smell a KonoSuba copy. Anways... let's review what has happened so far. In just two episodes: Can use any elemental magic + null magic. Boosted memory and physical attributes. Girls always ogling at MC. Saves a duke's daughter and wife. In possession of 40 million yen's worth of isekai currency. Travel permit + near noble man status. Party of four (including MC). Notable null magic: Gate (Warp gate), Long Sense (enhanced sight, hearing and smell from a distance), Boost (enhanced physical senses and agility/strength), Cure All (instant healing skill), Recovery (removes any afflictions), Aports (grasp any small object), Slip (interrupts casting of magic + can incapacitate most if not everyone). Cough cough -broken- cough. |

| OP-ness aside I think what truly makes this show terrible is the fact I was able to predict all the key events. Spot a samurai looking girl surrounded by thugs? Yup the MC and his gang are gonna intervene. (and obviously she's gonna join their party) He has an ability to take small objects? Yup a panty reference is coming. Butler is injured but young twin can't heal him because he still has an arrow in him? Yup MC is gonna use his new power to take it out, then he's gonna heal him because OP. Blond girl crying about her butler? Probably related to royalty or something. (yes anyone can guess she's a noble because of the fancy carriage but c'mon the fact she's related to royalty too?) Mom's blind. yup MC is gonna use some ability to heal her (I don't even know why he was acting dumb and needed the girls to point out her could help.) Reward? Shit ton of money and some game-changing advantage for their journey (checkpoint token.) There's just way too many predictable elements. I wonder if next ep he's gonna use some of that money to get that white outfit from the Opening. Also, people, stop comparing this garbage to KonoSuba. Such rudeness. There is nothing funny about it. This is definitely a feel good show, but I don't think you have to add this many cliches and make it so predictable to achieve that. This is clearly intended for the braindea--ahem I mean it's meant for little thought. Take it as is, don't think deeply about anything. |

In 8 minutes we meet the princess, her butler, the king and his wife. And somehow we're supposed to have sympathy for everything that's happening? Also why did the twins have tears in their eyes and hugging Touya while saying that they knew he could do it? I also find it disturbing how Touya took down 1 single lizard while everyone else took care of the rest, and still somehow he is the one who apparently saved the princess. Brilliant! And because of the courage Touya showed by defeating 1 Lizard the samurai girl now want's to join him in his quest! I applaud |

| I thought it was funny how he brought up stealing stealing girls underwear with the aports spell, I was thinking of Kazuma from KonoSuba when he was mentioning stealing with that spell. That one more girl added to his harem. She is a decent samurai though and was very good in battle. But boy, does she eat a lot. |

| Maybe for people who want surprises, plot, interesting character, etc this anime is mediocre, but for people who just want to enjoy laid back enjoyable show, this is good enough. Don't know what were people expecting from this show lol. My advice: better drop it as asap for those people who are not liking it |
| I happen to love characters who are OP as shit. There's a large audience for series that take it totally over the top. The Medaka Box manga is almost the epitome of this. Unfortunately this series isn't doing anything meaningful or over the top with all of this OP-ness. This series leaves me feeling empty, but at the same time this series isn't really competing against a lot this season so I'll continue watching it anyway. |
| Even though it's absolute generic shit it's watchable and I can enjoy it a little bit because of how chill it always becomes no matter what. Fight scenes are so boring and short, and it always cuts straight into a fight. Animation and art are fine. OST is ok. Characters are super plain and don't talk highly. Comedy is  and The scenes in general are so fucking stupid too like their not even trying to be dramatic, that eye-curing scene was so fucking lame seriously. 5/10 as of now. |

but hey it's not like I'm mad at it, this series is light and fun to watch. You never know maybe this anime starts off being a normal LIGHT NOVEL anime but ends up breaking those tropes and being really good *probably not* but so far it's an ok series and an ok episode. It's a series for people who would rather chill and watch a sub par at best anime, ya know to take your mind off things and just enjoy a fast moving story, cute lolis, a semi interesting premise, barely decent fight scenes, and an OP protagonist. |
