Generally I'm just curious on how much anime have people seen in one day. Typically an anime usually has 12 episodes. So if you do the maths, 25 minutes usually per episode including the time it takes to switch to the next episode, 25*12 = 300 minutes / 60 minutes (1 hour) = 5 hours to complete.

The most I've ever done was 13 or 14 episodes (can't recall exactly, but it was one of these two figures) from Inuyasha. And it's a longer show to begin with so it isn't like that made all that much of a dent in the total. It still took me around two months to complete 193 episodes + four films, but I didn't watch that high amount every day. That and a few other series are the only times I have binged so many in a single day.

I also watched 13 episodes of Shiki in a single day.

For some reason, I've never felt the desire to complete a 12 or 13 episode show in a single day, because something about that hits differently than 12 or 13 episodes of a longer show (even if the show overall only has 22 - 26 episodes).

I love watching longer material like four hour war and crime period piece epic films, have a near unlimited attention span, and am in front of the computer screen probably roughly half the day. But I don't watch that high episode number most days because I feel like I enjoy the show less if I'm not able to sit a while and just reflect on the episode I've seen and soak it in.

I did once watch all of FMA in one sitting; however, I believe that took more than 24 hours.

Edit: check my math here but apparently you could watch 65 standard length anime episodes in a day. So maybe I did watch it all in one day. Can't remember.

When I did my binge back in the summer, I generally did either two 12 eps or one 12 ep and one 24 ep with one “palate cleanser”episode in between which was usually a very chill slice of life anime. So around 8-12 hours a day. While it was kind of fun, It did take away some of the connection I would’ve had after finishing it and wallowing in the feelings would’ve made me go through.

For me I would save binging for super long animes, because binging multiple series at a time makes it more forgettable for me. I watched for completion instead of the story. It was still a super great two weeks for me though, because I had summer school for the next month.

Somewhere around 13-14 episodes, but I don't know exactly how many. This was around 15 years ago, and my dog of 13 years had just died. I wanted to distract myself, so for a few days, I mostly slept and watched anime.

I realize this is nothing compared to how much some people watch, but I usually only watch 2-4 episodes per day, so this many episodes in a day was a lot for me. Every once in a while, I might get up to 7 or 8 at most. I've just never enjoyed binging anime.

Depends heavily on my work schedule - whenever i get a whole day off I can do 20-30 episodes.
It's nowadays a rare occurrence tho, my usual average has to be 5-10ish I guess.

Hmm... the most I have watched in one day is probably "only" one season with 12 episodes (12x24 = 288 min = 4,8 hours)...but not all at once...Can't really focus too long.

Now I usually don't even have time for 3 or 4 episodes a day...especially after work it is too hard to watch that much

So far there's only 2 Anime Series that I completed in a Single Day: Haibane Renmei and Tatami Galaxy. I usually like to take it slower so I don't get tired after like 3 hours and start missing details. An exception are Shows with 50+ Episodes (Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu, Hunter x Hunter) where you just can't stop watching and end up binging 10 episodes at a time.

I guess 24-26 episodes... When I was a teenager, during the weekend or school break, I would wake up, turn on the PC, start and anime and then finish when I would go to sleep. Excepting the few minutes during which I would go to toilet or eat, my time was occupied with anime... Sure, I would have days in which I would just watch anime, and days when I did something else on PC too, but the point is that I guess watch a lot of episodes. I never really counted thou... I become aware of how much I watched only twiche in +12 years. Once was when I watched B Gata Na Hei in a single night, which was just 10 episodes, so it took less than 4 hours. And before that, I remember it took me 1 day and half to finish all the 3 season of Nanoha, which would be 49 episodes I think. I obviously watched more than 4 episodes a day all the time, but as I generally watched more than a single series at once it was hard to notice how much I actually watched, but I probably watched quite a lot of it. Naruto was my first anime, and I finished all the 220 episodes of the original plus the 42 episodes of Shippuden that were up at the time, in just 7 days - I remember it very well, because I was on school break.
So let's do some math - there are 10 080 minutes in a week. 262 episodes x 24 minutes = 6288 minutes. If I cut the op and ending, that's 3 minutes x 262 = 786 minutes ... Now, if I add those op/ed minutes into episodes -> 786/24 minutes = 32.75 episodes, so almost 33 episodes of the 262 are op/ed songs - looks like a lot, but Naruto also had some 3-4 minutes of summary which I can't calculate as is diverse, but if I add 1.5 minutes as an average, I would still gather another 17 episodes, so out of the 262, 50 episodes are material I didn't watch - I could still count for an error of plus minutes couples of episodes as I may have enjoyed an open or recap. So for the heck of it, let's say I am left with 215 episodes. 215/7=31. So 5 episodes in 2 hours ... to reach 30, I would need 12 hours of my day... If I take in consideration that I slept 8 hours day, there would still be 4 hours, so time for another 10 episodes ... but I guess I can't sleep exactly 8 hours... I don't ever remember sleeping 10 hours either, so let's say I slept 9... I guess, the maximum I may have watched during my hardcore time would have been anywhere from 35 to 38 episodes. Looking trough my memories, I am 100% that there was more than one day when I reached that maximum.

So, final answer - 38 episodes in a day. While I gave up a night or two of sleeping to binge trough manga, I never watched anime for 24 or 48 hours straight, so 38 is a good number.

Oh my God, when I do the math, I guess it would be possible to finish One Piece in a month...

Now, on the other hand... before I was born, I think I put my skill points in anything but math, so I am a zero in anything that revolves around numbers... I hope I won't bring shame to my family with this post (-_- ' )

Some people here have watched a truly astonishing amount of anime in a single day.

I guess mine is still kind of crazy though. There've been a couple days where I watched 25 episodes of Bleach in a single day. But similar to what @WatchTillTandava said, for some reason its easier to really go nuts on a long series like Bleach than to finish an entire 24 episode season in 1 day.

There have been a couple times where I watched an entire 12 episode cour in 1 day. But for some reason that feels like just as much as watching 25 episodes of Bleach in a day. Typically I finish 12 episode cours in 2-3 days.

When I watched long shows like One Piece, Naruto, Yu yu Hakusho, I think I sometimes watched 35-40 episodes a day. This was during winter break mind you, so I wasn't being that degenerate.

I usually watch a double cour show every weekend, sometimes Sometimes I finish in one day, or sometimes I take the whole weekend.

I usually can't watch a lot of episodes of one series unless it's long. And as such, it feels like I haven't even watched it if I complete a 12 episodes anime in one day.

12 eps - about 2-5 episodes a day
50+ - 6-10 episodes a day

But the latter is rather uncommon for me. Recently, I've had more time, though.
