I guess 24-26 episodes... When I was a teenager, during the weekend or school break, I would wake up, turn on the PC, start and anime and then finish when I would go to sleep. Excepting the few minutes during which I would go to toilet or eat, my time was occupied with anime... Sure, I would have days in which I would just watch anime, and days when I did something else on PC too, but the point is that I guess watch a lot of episodes. I never really counted thou... I become aware of how much I watched only twiche in +12 years. Once was when I watched B Gata Na Hei in a single night, which was just 10 episodes, so it took less than 4 hours. And before that, I remember it took me 1 day and half to finish all the 3 season of Nanoha, which would be 49 episodes I think. I obviously watched more than 4 episodes a day all the time, but as I generally watched more than a single series at once it was hard to notice how much I actually watched, but I probably watched quite a lot of it. Naruto was my first anime, and I finished all the 220 episodes of the original plus the 42 episodes of Shippuden that were up at the time, in just 7 days - I remember it very well, because I was on school break.
So let's do some math - there are 10 080 minutes in a week. 262 episodes x 24 minutes = 6288 minutes. If I cut the op and ending, that's 3 minutes x 262 = 786 minutes ... Now, if I add those op/ed minutes into episodes -> 786/24 minutes = 32.75 episodes, so almost 33 episodes of the 262 are op/ed songs - looks like a lot, but Naruto also had some 3-4 minutes of summary which I can't calculate as is diverse, but if I add 1.5 minutes as an average, I would still gather another 17 episodes, so out of the 262, 50 episodes are material I didn't watch - I could still count for an error of plus minutes couples of episodes as I may have enjoyed an open or recap. So for the heck of it, let's say I am left with 215 episodes. 215/7=31. So 5 episodes in 2 hours ... to reach 30, I would need 12 hours of my day... If I take in consideration that I slept 8 hours day, there would still be 4 hours, so time for another 10 episodes ... but I guess I can't sleep exactly 8 hours... I don't ever remember sleeping 10 hours either, so let's say I slept 9... I guess, the maximum I may have watched during my hardcore time would have been anywhere from 35 to 38 episodes. Looking trough my memories, I am 100% that there was more than one day when I reached that maximum.
So, final answer - 38 episodes in a day. While I gave up a night or two of sleeping to binge trough manga, I never watched anime for 24 or 48 hours straight, so 38 is a good number.
Oh my God, when I do the math, I guess it would be possible to finish One Piece in a month...
Now, on the other hand... before I was born, I think I put my skill points in anything but math, so I am a zero in anything that revolves around numbers... I hope I won't bring shame to my family with this post (-_- ' ) |
