| I certainly wasn't expecting this kind of behavior from Katakuri, but at the end of the day, he's Big Mom's son so I guess it makes sense. Looks like Luffy noticed something interesting about Katakuri so maybe this will be the start of his counterattack. |

Not only does Katakuri have a sweet tooth, but he also has a BIG mouth with sharp pointy teeth and a carefree attitude when eating sweets. xD Sacred ritual my ass, lol! | Nice to see a full Luffy v Katakuri. I swear Mihawk is the only character that's allowed to be perfect in this manga xD This was such an "Oda" chapter and I freaking love it. The meal time scene had me dying hahaha I'll be kinda disappointed if Luffy beats him in bog-standard Gear 4th but I doubt it'll end that way. Not sure what Luffy has realised about Katakuri's powers, I guess we'll see... Edit: Actually, I think I've got it. Katakuri isn't a perfect master of Haki. In fact, he can only use one type of Haki at a time. He can't use his heightened Observation Haki whilst using Armament, nor can he use Armament whilst using Observation. |

Based Katakuri, It's almost as if there was some self commentary on the genre with Katakuri stopping Luffy's powerup and Luffy further asking why he had to eat his way out of everything. xD Katakuri eating donuts was funny, I suppose it's only natural he had some kind of goofy habit but damn he murdered those servants of his in no time. There are things beyond Armament? Very interesting. What has Luffy noticed? Hype! |

| FINALLY!MORE INFORMATION ABOUT HAKI!About time we learn the extent of haki and its usefulness,Red Hair Pirates is yonkou tier without devil fruit for a reason,Luffy found out Katakuri weakness but whats more hype is haki which is getting dull and its time to make haki more interesting,we are learning about armament so in Wano,Roronoa Zoro might get haki upgrade(since he is specialize in armament).Great Chapter. |

| Yeah, that was uncalled for and hilarious at the same time. I, to be honest, did not expect to see this side of his personality, nor did I ever have the slightest idea that he has it. Now that formidable and exalted stature he has erected throughout several previous chapters gets shattered by only a single sight. I mean, not that it is something bad Katakuri, mind you. We are all also love to indulge in the time when we are only with ourselves. Although, I do think you did it a little bit too much. I see a lot of people theorize that he can exert and push armament and observation haki beyond the limit but can only use one at a time as the expense, me including. And at the outset it does seem believable. But I wonder Oda will make it so obvious like that. |

| i get it. No really listen here. Kata already knew he can't beat luffy by punch him to death so he use his spear but luffy always quick on that part. I mean there are so many example of this but the most amazing part for me when his shadow can dodge franky's bullets despite his Oz size. So last option for kata to kill Luffy is to drown him. Which he did. It's natural that see the future has a limit. And Luffy got out of mochi even later from Kata's vision for "future" After that his snack time already pass by so he doesn't wanted to rescheculed-is that the right word?- that. So he just wanted to relax. If we consider that his vision for future come from K.haki so when he relaxed he "turn it off". It's actually makes sense so far. After people found our and Kata got furious he can't focus on K.haki so he got a kick to the chin. Or maybe-my theory- his jaw isn't belongs to himself -see the stitch they look surgical- so he can't foresee what happen to it? I mean i get that much and it makes sense to me. On the other hand it feels like ODA can do better than that. idk maybe because of editor? Anyway what i'm not ok with is BM. How are ODA gonna make it work? |

| I loved the comedy elements, and the self-awareness of Luffy. Oda surely loves to spice emo characters up. For his weaknesses I have 4 guesses: -his mouth is some sort of... blind spot? (this is stupid idea) -his haki is related to hunger in some way. (still dumb, but could make more sense) -being angry/insecure, or generally being in some sort of unstable mental state makes him more vulnerable (It'd make sense for me!) -can use only one kind of "enhanced" haki at the time (this makes the most sense!) What Luffy could try is using heavy attacks, then the fastest attacks. Other than Luffy still going strong after so many fights, and damage, this solution for going toe-to-toe against Katakuri seems less of an asspull. I'm quite okay with this solution. I'm still not sure if Luffy can win, though. What I hope is that we'll see some more information about haki very soon. I'm pretty sure yonkou are capable of using these enhanced hakis as well, and many other people. I just can't imagine Big Mom being able to use them, especially the observation haki. For some reason I think that kind of haki only works if people are calm to at least some extent. Big Mom is like in constant berserk mode whenever she's in a fight, or just a chase. Anyways.. We seriously need information about haki, and maybe awakening! |

It feels like a year has passed before a one piece chapter comes out, its like a drug I can't get enough of like crack. This fight between katakuri and Luffy has taken a crucial point, even Luffy finally got a kick in which means he is about to close it. Oda sensei please do two chapters a week, please please. |

| I don't believe Katakuri's character was shattered, just cause he likes to fool around in his private time doesn't make him any less of a badass. IMO this jumped him up in the ranks of popularity, at least he is one of my top One Piece characters now. |

| I've been wondering for a while now why Luffy didn't just eat the mochi. I didn't realize there was anything he didn't like to eat. As soon as I found out no one has ever seen Katakuri eat I figured he was doing something embarrassing. Looks like he was in indulging himself to much to use that prediction power he always seems to use. He seems to be off his game now. |

It's stated that he always eats it at the same time every day and that no one has ever seen him while eating (weak point alert). He had to pospone it because of the fight, and didn't bother to check Luffy status after the finishing blow. All he cared about was to enjoy his meal. Then, after the meal, suddenly his ability to read the future, his most dangerous trait, is gone. It all makes sense. 3 - It's possible, can't be ruled out yet 4 - Reread chapter 879. Katakuri predicted Luffy's moves AND countered with Haki imbued attacks. Sure, now he shows an even more powerful version of Armament Haki, but why would he drop his Observation Haki in favor of that? He was already massacring Luffy with it (again, not being hungry anymore could be the cause of the switch) I'll go for number 2. |
