I and you would swing and try to hurt the guy but im going to say me and you both don't care about an attackers life over our own :P Kirito did kill in SAO, remember the guy who poisoned kirito and some other guy, killed the other guy but Asuna came and saved Kirito ? but fking hell he flawed tho, in novel specially, he keep on having guilt about killing in SAO, and it's mentioned and referenced so much in the novel. he always had guilt about killing. so yeh he obviously will not try to kill the guy here. specially it's now RL and not in game. ( actually in original webnovel Asuna killed that scum guy coz she was SO MAD at him trying to kill Kirito ! she just didn't care and kill him ! but the editor for light novel publish had author change it ... coz japan and their pure girl shit, they wanted asuna to be the White knight pure girl, while Kirito do the dirty work. ) |

What I can say for sure is that the source material did become a lot more interesting after the intro chapters. The ''real life'' section of the story gets sidelined (its still relevant, but in the anime might be 1 episodes worth ever 10 episodes for example) and the story revolves mostly around the ''Underworld''. I'm a little worried about the anime adaptation since they cut the part with Eugene, Alice and Kirito as children short, so as a result anime viewers have less attachment to what happend in the first episode. (as well as understanding of the worlds rules, like why they were cutting that tree, or crossing the border) But maybe they will handle that with flashbacks. Either way, I do think it will become a lot more interesting in the anime as well. |

Ignoring the haters who just hate for the sake of hating. and Ignoring the lovers who just love it coz they love it lol the rest of the comments, almost half say, I loved first part and 2nd half was bad ! half say i loved 2nd part and first part was shit ! and some say i liked GGO part but talk in shop was shit. some say i hate GGO shit part i hope its not repeated again. this just show imo, how much ppl's taste are different ! and no matter what a company do, they can't satisfy everybody. I personally don't hate on anything much, I honestly enjoyed seeing Asuna in GGO gear and fighting along kirito in that scene, plus the foreshadowing but i couldn't care less if it was not there. And the 10min explanation in EP1, while not exciting, had to be there for the built up as next EP all change and we needed these info out fast ! unless they did flashbacks later. this is just the beginning after all ! the story and actions are there to come :D Imo, it would of been better to spend more time introducing Eugene, Alice and their village with its rules and life. Then do the expo on the soul device in episode 2, together with the cliffhanger. I guess they really wanted to start off the season with the cliffhanger in episode 1. |

| That product placement for Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet was a bit weird. Like, in universe, wouldn't that be like naming a game "Auschwitz?" Long episode this time. Wonder how they're going to handle that when it inevitably comes to Toonami. |

| The first episode wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. I was just watching this series to see how bad it turned out like the first and second season. But with this new arc, I'm gonna TRY to go in more open-minded. Who knows? Maybe it'll be good. Anyway, I liked the first half of the episode. Alice and Eugeo seem like cool characters and the concept itself wasn't so horrible (although very dramatic and a bit over-the-top). The problem came with the second part of the episode. Kirito's character in real life (away from the games) seems very dull and boring. Not to mention, the seiyuu's voice is either 0 or 100, only rarely in between. For example, if he's talking about his job with the new institution (forgot the name) his voice sounds very dull and "cool." But it turns a whole 180 when he proposed that Asuna should travel with him to America. It was a bit hard to listen to that part because his character was portrayed very differently and they seiyuu's voice only confirmed that. Anyway, that was a minor detail but it was still something to note. Now on to Asuna's character. Man, she sure is useless. I love her and all but the badass Asuna doesn't exist anymore and even badass Asuna was pretty boring. Now it's all cute and romantic and "Kirito-KUN." The only reason she's there is because she was a part of the main cast in Season One. Otherwise, those romantic scenes wouldn't have been added or seemed so forced. And the classic villain appearance. ... Anyway, I feel like I'm complaining too much lol. I'll watch the full thing and hopefully it outdoes it's reputation. There's still hope it'll be a decent to good season. |

| The first part of this ep was pretty confusing! Although surprisingly quite enjoyable at the same time. Loli Alice was sooo cute~ Shota Eugeo and Kirito were cute as well, but maybe they had a liiittle too much fun together (jk jk). New game seems intriguing, especially the slower passage of time compared to the real world, but cutting down the tree being their main, everyday task? Come on lol. Anyway, I'm not SAO fan or hater, I thought first two seasons were okay, so far Alicization seems fine as well :> We'll see how it goes, I guess. |

| I personally find these two episodes weaker than previous two seasons. Not much happened in those two episodes, no action, it feels too slow and not much happened. He want to cut the tree ?! WHo cares about that Season 2 had better start. When I saw Death Gun killing people from TV screen I was hooked up. And same thing with season 1 Not saying Alicization is bad. I'm big fan of SAO but I feel that it did not have strong start like the old SAO. |

| So, I finally got to watch first episode and there are my first feels about it. Screw some Alicization and Soul translator project, I want to see more GGO and Kirito x Laughing coffin grudges from Aincrad. GGO is my favorite arc, those Fatal bullet commercials in first episode sure works on me. Like original GGO battle and literal SAO Fatal Bullet spot on background. Photon swords looked and mostly new sounded amazing and Klein screaming full auto Tanegashima was hilarious. (Btw. Tanegashima was first home type muskets from 16 century Japan, if I am correct, as whole Klein guild is based on Sengoku jidai style.) Only problem I had is bit of inconstancy, Kirito should be automaticly log off when he spaced out in bar (unless he still using Nerve gear instead Amu sphere). Original prolog is bit less spoilery, I guess, but i left some important information, but I am not sure, I didn't read Light novel far yet. And fist minutes of first half with Eugeo (whose voice irritates me, so far) was gay as hell, till Alice came to scold them. Overall I am pretty exited about new SAO. Also, I guess I am gonna buy Fatal bullet game. |

| An episode of double duration, when I can divide into two segments, the first 25 minutes a new world and the last 20 minutes the real world with a quick intro at this new world! 8/10 for start and waiting for more! |
| Alice is cute. Not a fan of Eugeo, but I can definitely see him growing on me. And I'm a big fan of the duo dynamic, so I'm really looking forward to that haha. I'm really interested to see how and where the story goes from here, especially inside the "VR" world. I didn't expect any less, but the animation looked amazing, and the OP was great! |
| A lot of people liked the animation and art, but I felt it was a bit disappointing. Maybe it will grow on me over time. In addition, maybe reading the story in advance ruined the build up but I also thought the scenes and pace were so-so. Did not like Johnny Black's voice actor at all. Well, I do enjoy this story so I am hoping they improve on the execution over the remaining episodes. |

| I almost don't remember anything about the first two seasons of SAO, but I've been playing the games recently so I flipped at that Fatal Bullet fanservice. Kind of an okay start. Used to have something against this franchise, but the games thankfully made me more open-minded. |

| Odd start with a new game like that. Weird to see Alice get punished like that for having 3 fingers on the "dark side" Would that be the equivalent of being banned x) ? Also lmao at Asuna having an app for Kirito's heartbeat. Wait so it's a new full dive tech but now I'm wondering if Kirito's one of the few to exerpience this tech and if everyone else we saw at the start was an NPC ... including Eugeo and Alice, though that's very doubtful, I believe Eugeo and Alice at least are two other participants. (maybe) On Kirito's comment, it could be that the machine creates your own world for your soul, so it's different for everyone else, just like dreams. Hmm really interesting start, I like this new direction. |
