THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lol, cute OP song. Eh, I guess it introduced the main characters in the way I thought they would. Not sure I like either the MC or Eiri. And right now, he gets quite a greeting: Utaha best girl. |

Geez this had more fanservice than some of the harem fanservice series I'm watching this season! I'm hoping this wasn't indicative of the main series as a whole. I mean fanservice is fine but...I was kinda expecting this to be a bit more serious honestly... |

I know it's early to judge, but I don't get it. Is this a deconstruction of ecchi harems/dating simulators? Yet it still plays tropes straight? I have mixed feelings from this episode. |

I had high expectations for this show, I was expecting it to be a good romcom such as Sakurasou or Oregairu (or at least close to them), but the amount of fanservice and tropes on just the first episode kinda gets me down. I know its just the prequel Im not going to drop the series or anything its just the first impression that it gave to me. Btw who is supposed to be the "main girl" in this series? I first thought that it was going to be the tsundere+childhood friend+ironing board chest since this combination seems to be unbeatable but now that Ive seen the full episode I really cant tell |

I really don't like judging shows on the first episode alone but sometimes you just know an anime isn't for you.... and this definitely isn't for me. Way too much fanservice for my liking (why doesn't this show have an ecchi tag?) and it's not funny at all (even though the primary genre is supposed to be comedy); it's just incredibly boring. |

Anime about making a visual novel? Count me in. Didn't mind the fanservice, actually I think it fit pretty well. Definitely gonna enjoy this one. |

Well the first thing that stood out was that the subs where awful the could not even write the names properly. Besides that lot's of fan service. I didn't read the LN but i did complete one of the manga and i am reading another one and the only thing that annoyed me was the main who could not take simple hints. Which was very obvious in this episode as well. But that's not something unique amongst harem mains shamefully. I wonder how the rest of the series will turn out. |

I'm pretty sure Nachtwandler_21 is right, the fan service is so blatant and cliche that it was pretty obvious that it was a joke. I really liked the colors and something about this makes it really easy to watch compared to the other 2 harem animes that just aired this season. |

This anime doesn't seem rly for me, seems to mainstream and not much happening :x BUT I prefer to not judge a book by it's cover so I'm just gonna start the normal anime to and see what'll happen from there on :x |

This seems like it could be quite a... fun show, to say the very least. The idea of having a series about people trying to make a visual novel is certainly quite an interesting, and all things considered the high levels of fan-service in this prologue doesn't seem out of place at all, as is often the case with excessive levels of fan-service. It should be very fun when the show properly begins next week. |

While i have to say that there was too much ecchi for my liking, i also have to say that Kato is bestest girl of this show-episode so far.Hopefully they will step down with ecchi level in actual show, so i can somehow enjoy it - if not then i might drop it, who knows. |

seems more like a 'unaired episode 13' than a prequel to the series to me. more like it's totally not a prequel. |

Totally agree on this one. asdlolxd_ said: This kinda reminds me of Eroge H but doujinshi version Agree with this one. Jokes about romcom cliches? I thought jokes were supposed to be funny... Anyway, I was mistaken; thought this was episode 1 but it isn't. I'm going to watch episode 1 after it airs next week and hopefully it will be a lot better than this. |

A anime that makes fun of harem cliches and all that? Count me in. This episode, even though it's a prologue, was really enjoyable. Though I don't think the actual series will have ecchi in it, still fun to watch though. |

That was the pretty much the worse introduction to a series ever. I feel like I've been parachuted into the middle of it. I hope the actual series is a little more gentle in terms of pacing. |

I have a feeling this is going to be the most interesting thing I'm going to be watching this season, aside from DRRR X2. Other than specific shots where they have that awkward transition of color palette I can't identify a single fault in this prequel episode. The show has so far achieved in showing off each character in their own light, giving you a taste of how they will act during the series. The episode kept me giggling throughout the whole series and ultimately instilled hype in me for the series to finally take off. Good job A-1, you finally make a good show since Sora no Woto. |
Why do people have such bad taste? Anime isn't subjective anymore. |

SylverClaw said: Actually, it's probably going to be more of a "expect what happens and watch how it happens" series. First, they put you in the middle of it. Then, they go to the beginning and pretty much get to how the first episode came to be. At the the end, Tomoya says that it's his story, which could mean that he's going to explain how they all met or something like that. That was the pretty much the worse introduction to a series ever. I feel like I've been parachuted into the middle of it. I hope the actual series is a little more gentle in terms of pacing. Seems like a good series imo. I don't really mind any fanservice. If it's censored, no unnatural light of rage is great. The concept seems nice. Harems are harems, but it's what the main plot is that makes a harem. Expecting a lot of harem moments, but betting more of them to Utaha. Fatma94 said: Joining the Kato party.zerorequiem_ said: Kato is best girl. +1 She seems really nice. I like her. |
