| Deg? Wtf lol. Deg is a super nice and chill dude, but argument is not his forte. Especially if "language control" is one of your criteria. Of all the semi-active people Katsucats wins easily, although his arguments do tend to get a bit too abstract and maybe even obscure at times. |

| The problem with choosing 'the best debater' is that if you give rewards out to the winners people are incentivized to just argue for the sake of winning rather than actually coming to a compromise and understanding their opposition. I do think it cheapens debates in general. Of course, I don't mind threads like these where we're just ranking people for fun though. My criticism is mostly aimed at actual debating competitions. traed gets my vote btw. |

| Are we talking currently active users or even those from some time ago? Traed and deg are good, but I think there are more debaters: a few of them posted already (Nyu, Viking and zzzeally). EDIT: didn't fully read the OP. We compile the list--still need to know if there are limitations. |

| Traed's responses are generally very fact-based and concise enough for most people to not lose interest halfway through so I can see why many nominated him. But I'd say Railey and Josh overall make more compelling arguments, so yeah those two. |

| I'd disqualify kuma. Once I had an argument with @Manaban (whom I grown to respect while still disagree), and while unaddressed he just started to spout insults, because he disaggreed me and said he argued enough about the topic with other people who were on the same side as I. Also @zombie_pegasus is respectful and often makes good points. Though maybe sometimes he goes too far with the devil's advocate role, but sometimes I do too. |

| It's not the case of them being the best, but being virtually the only ones I actually find debating in a thread: deg creates a shit ton of threads. I just cannot stress it enough, and most of them are pretty serious. Trance- used to have pretty good topics that made you think about things in new POVs. Even the troll posts were quality. Railey2 does some pretty controversial threads, he also seems to have alot of issues with the animal kingdom in general, but he also does provide good content. katsucats never posts threads, however, he goes pretty hard into your thread if it interests him. His style is far from simple but good to converse with. traed probably has a 3 paragraph opinion of your mother. Grey-Zone is mostly around CE, even though I do not specifically subscribe to his views, I do respect his contributions amidst the shitfest that is CE. That's what I can recall, anyway. |
