| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ooh the preliminaries begins! While I think everyone still had a lot to improve on, they're really working well together. There's also a feeling of tense competitive atmosphere going on that and I think they delivered that well. I guess the episode is also testing not only the physical limits but also their mental limits too. Pretty intense episode imo. |

| Megane guy's mother has been driving for them since they were junior high, so she knows about that another guy. Twins teasing toward them, so they met OnoKen's character again so fast. That friend guy just realized that guy who helped out on the journey to solve main guy's problem is from enemy school. Only the short hair girl did perfectly and long hair girl missed every shot (and her face is red..., she has a fever). The guy who is always in bad mood rushed because OnoKen's character is good at shooting, and missed all except first one. He's frustrated. As for main guy, he doesn't feel like he can win OnoKen's character after seeing him shoot. |

| Good episode. I dislike those twins, they're rude and just plain offensive. I have no idea why they goto such lengths to insinuate other people. I felt bad for Onogi, he defended his teammates from all the twins' derogatory comments but unfortunately he tried to hard during the actual competition trying to use a technique he never really did know and never ended up qualifying. :( Looks like Shu is the one to beat, absolutely unstoppable. Wonder if things will go better during the group matches. |

| Okay, but I hate the twins so much. I'm getting more curious about Minato's injury; I recoiled a bit when Shu put his hand where the scar is. I hate when people touch my scar, even when it's through clothes. I did like how he took the chance to do it when Seiya's back was turned- slippery. Also glad to see the girls getting a bit of focus this episode. Poor Shiragiku. |
| Interesting episode that did well in not just showing what the tournament was like for the team but also on how it works. It was interesting seeing what each of the boys were experiencing as they set off. Kirisaki sure made quite the entrance. The Twins though sure was arrogant. Still despite being enemies it was nice seeing Minato and Seiya reunite with Shuu. Twins aside at least the rest of Kirisaki was more friendly. Its kinda surprising on the number of girls who took up kyudo. Its good that we got to see how the girls demonstrate their talent though too bad about Shiragiku. Onogi's desire to beat Shuu sure ended up backfiring but at least it provided him with a valuable lesson. Looks like the tournament is starting to heat up. |

| The twins are...Something else, but they're dynamic with everyone else can lead to quite interesting scenarios. I feel pretty bad for Kaachan, I really wanted him to win this one, but Seo was great though. |

| I felt really bad for the sick girl. It was so unfair! Kacchan's immaturity made him lose. I liked that it happened. It feels like, in recent animes, arrogant and immature characters win and act even more arrogant. As a result, they just become an annoying and a poorly written character! This season we are getting two sports animes, based on novels, that have extremely irritating and rude twins. I hope they become tolerable in both series. |

| Ryouhei is such a good guy, going to the shrine before the competition for his friends; and I'm so happy that Minato found out that he tried his best to help him with his Target Panic. He really is a great friend! The way he found out wasn't ideal though, the twins certainly have an attitude problem, that's no way to talk to someone you don't even know. The insults like "mass production" and "doppelgängers" were a bit much too, but I guess they had it coming. But Seiya getting between Minato, and Shu as soon as he showed up isn't even funny, like chill. At least Shu was able to talk to Minato a few moments later, there was even an intimate touch, and I liked to know that their friendship is an old one. I almost feel bad for Kacchan too, but he had it coming for ignoring Masa-san's advice, and he didn't learn anything because once again an advice fell on deaf ears, and he was practicing into the night. Here's hoping they will have better results at the group event though. |

| Things are really getting better and better ! I really liked this episode. Kaito has some team spirit after all, that's nice to see. I really feel into the competition, along the characters. The rythm is not too slow neither too fast. Really enjoyable. |
| Ugh, once I was starting to get over Onogi's personality, those twins appear... I didn't get the idea of them being this rude towards people they don't even know. I though "respect" was one of the bases in Kyudou, as well as in most of sports but well. Annoying twins aside, I liked the episode. Especially, the whole scene where Minato, Seiya and Ryouhei were talking about the atmosphere in a Kyudou competition, where you can't cheer your teammates up or even applaud when you want. All this while watching at Shiragiku. Poor girl, by the way. What a bad day to get sick. I really felt bad for her, being honest. And regarding Onogi, he was his worst enemy right there. He was too focus on Shu that he lost track on his training. However, since he acted in a very arrogant way some episodes ago, I didn't feel bad for him at all. But I do hope this defeat helps him to realize that he needs to focus more in his own technique rather than in the others' ones. |

| Onogi was just too obsessed with trying to turn his bow and ended up not performing well. Probably also combined with the fact that he was really pissed off cause of the twins and wanted to prove his team was good. Those twins really are pricks tho. I'd glad that at least the captain and Shu don't condone their behavior. It really does seem like Shu cares about his middle school teammates which is nice. Also good stuff from that tall girl. Hitting all her shots is pretty impressive I'd say. Too bad for Shiragiku (?) tho. Having a fever certainly won't help you shoot. |
| I'm glad I could finally see the reunion between Shu, Seiya and Minato. I think it could have been better if those annoying twins wouldn't have showed up and started being rude with everyone. Anyway, I was so curious about what happened between them that during the whole episode, I was on the edge of my seat because of the excitement. |

| It's really surprising that no one has beat the shit out of those twins so far. This was such a good episode, especially the tense atmosphere. Too bad that Kaito didn't make it, wished it for him the most. |

Onogi was also dissapointed by his own performance! They should really follow their coach not to go in rush to get better! OST is really nice! 4/5. |

I also want to know why Seiya is so protective of Minato against Shu, especially since they were all supposed to be friends in middle school. What did Shu do? 😕 Also, I made a Tsurune AMV! | Not a big fan of those twins or more like douches. Kaito may seem stubborn but considering that he wanted to prove his team ain't bad to those who looked down at them, I felt sorry for the boy. Hopefully their group will have an okay result. And oh I enjoyed that 'lil bit of fanservice btw. ;-) |

| Those twins are definitely annoying. I thought that Onogi was going to smack them up the side of the head. I think that Seiya got jealous over Shu touching Minato. Does he want Minato all to himself? :P Also, Onogi was pretty let down after not doing so well, but his obsession with trying to force the bow to turn got the better of him. Hopefully, he'll learn from that, and not make the same mistake twice. |

| I have a fascinating problem that seldom happens. Too. Many. Ships. Honestly, the last fandom that gave me such problems was Marvel and now there are at least three different configurations that I rather like: 1. Minato - Masako 2. Minato - Shu 3. Minato - Seiya complicated LOL I love this show and now the preliminaries have finally started. Those twins...douchebags but it would be so boring without a couple of idiots around. |

| Ah, I love the subtleties in their facial expressions and actions. Like when Ryohei went to the shrine to pray, and when wanted to cheer for the girls & after being told of the correct way to do so, he cautiously looked at Minato & Seiya before giving his applause. He’s so endearing!!!! Their facial expressions are all drawn & animated so well, so subtle but do a great job at conveying the overall mellow mood And when Minato followed Onogi yet still gave him his space. If he just went up to him & tried to comfort him there & then Kacchan would most likely lash out at him. Says a lot about Minato as well, he’s so quiet but perceptive I love this anime!!!!! It’s beautiful to watch Also when Shu just dead ass went up to Minato & touched him he really did that huh lmaooooo |

| Those twins are starting to piss me off. -o_o- Shuu is as Seiya's mom had described - BISHOUNEN. I feel bad for Kaito, but at least he learned something very important. When Nanao was looking at him through the window, Nanao looked... really cool there, a little different from how he usually is. Almost fell for him. ^^ Idk if someone has mentioned this before, but Seiya really has a huge crush on Minato, right? But that's obviously one-sided. :') |
