Geez, that Twin Turbo girl can be very forceful with her words.

Eh, the episode is okay but felt like one of the weaker ones. The school festival looked like fun though with the various events. It still retains a bit of the drama in these recent episodes. Teiou's level of confidence is still high as ever.

Given how much Tokai Teio has pushed herself to the limit countless times, a full withdrawal is only a matter of time...which leaves McQueen without a rival, other rival teams to pick up the scrap, and promises to both Symboli Rudolf and McQueen broken just like that. The alternative to have fun time alone to relieve all that running craze, with her time all but done and wrapped up for racing...which is both sad and a shame for everyone affected.

From the look of Team Canopus's Twin Turbo's face, the jest for her to challenge and compete against Tokai Teio...the heart wrenches of the spirit of competition amidst the fan appreciation festival in direct tandem with the All Comers race (for the MVP Twin Turbo) and hijacking the technicalities (for the others).

I appreciate that the encouragement for Tokai Teio continues its downtrack from previous episodes from all sides, she's clearly everyone's dream inspiration to push to their absolute limits, even when her time is up.

Another great episode, and tear-jerking ones back-to-back.

Teiou being encouraged by lot's of people to continue to race and let's hope she succeeds.
Seeing the amount of support was nice the episode itself was a bit sad tho with the emotional state of Teiou and some of the other characters, by the end of the episode nothing of the sadness remained tho.

Anyway looking forwards to what will become of Teiou.

The mood of the episode was quite depressing for most of it with Teio being demotivated and wanted to stop because of her injury, but that end of episode was really good to be honest, it was nice to see Twin Turbo winning and that Teio was able to see her! She looked so happy at the end :)

What an emotional episode with a very good ending.
Double Jet, ummmm... Twin Turbo did a great job showing her effort and helps to bring Teio back. With encouragement from everyone, I hope she will back to the racetrack very soon.
Whatever her position will be in the race, everyone just wants to see Teio back to race again.

Probably my favorite episode...very emoptional and heartwarming...Kita-chan is the initiator of her comeback. (S3 with her and Dia-chan???)

In the end it is all the fans who support you and you cannot let them down. Glad she came back...

But really Turbo beating Rice is probably one of the biggest upsets...same level as Rice winning agains McQueen

And here I thought last week was rough, this was especially hard to watch with Teio on the verge of announcing her retirement. Teio rejecting the cute horse loli's charm was brutal.

But seeing Twin Turbo give her all and the super cute horse loli cheer on Teio with her handmade charm, even seeing the manager tear up over his drink was all so emotional and heartwarming. This show just continues to surprise me with how good it is.

Twin Turbo's passion and desire to see Teio make a comeback was especially nice to see considering she's been more or less comedic relief most of the season.

3 episodes should be just enough time for Teio to make her return.

I do want to address one thing though, are they ever going to tell us the significance of the horse girl with glasses that we see in the OP? We've seen her speak once and that's it. Maybe she'll be a formidable for in the final race?

Regardless, hoping this final stretch is an inspiring one!

I don't like Teiou at all, loved Twin Turbo giving her best and proving her worth against the one who completely defeated Teiou's rival, Team Canopus enjoyable as always.

It was a really emotional episode. Kitasan Black was adorable, she even made a good luck charm for Teio. Twin Turbo was great as well. Seeing Teio cry at the end made me sad and happy at the same time, I'm glad she decided to run again.

The emotions were strong in this episode. VERY strong...

The depressed feeling of Teio giving up was a sad sight. Not just that, but she even rejected Kitasan Black's good luck charm, which was almost heart-breaking to watch.

The star of this episode is Twin Turbo. She's been a huge comic relief so far this season, but she finally showed what she's truly capable of. Not only did she finally win a race, but she never gave up at trying to encourage Teio to race her.

During the festival where Teio was on-stage to do her performance, the whole crowd didn't want her to quit and her doing their best to encourage Teio to change her mind. What ultimately worked was when Team Canopus took over the screen controls to show live footage of Twin Turbo not only winning another race, but also beating Rice Shower, which is a huge upset. Nice animation for that race, too.

I do admit that seeing Teio crying when she finally changed her mind to race again made me tear up a bit. The special ED song and stills along with it exemplified that feeling to maximum effect and it really showed.

I do look forward to seeing Teio race again. It doesn't matter if she wins or loses, just seeing her race again will bring a big smile on my face. =)

Good god, this episode. Teio deciding to quit, Trainer and the rest not sure what to do...

But maaaan the last part of the show was so, so heartwarming.
While twin Turbo and the rest of Canopus were comic relief, this episode they helped encourage Teio to race again! (while still being comic relief, I chuckled at the ski masks hahaha)

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call The Twilight Zone.

Fantastic episode like always. That whole ending scene was really emotional and I'm really hoping Teio doesn't break her leg again. The insert song at the beginning was nice too.

5/5.

i know this is all gonna set up one more race for Teio and its suppose to be emotional...but goddamn i cant help but feel everybody encouraging Teio to further cripple her leg long-term (potentially for life) by making her comeback and not retire. “dont let some injury get you down”...like sure if i dont wanna be able to walk again. but then again, this is anime and not real life

At the beginning of the season, I was, who is this spirited blue-haired uma musume? I like her. And that uma musume was Twin Turbo.
Twin Turbo did her best with her unconventional running form, showing that she really have turbo.
Was a very welcome surprise Twin Turbo getting a spotlight, and help recover the faith that me, and Teio had lost.
Teio was really grateful to kneel before Twin Turbo.
I was crying of happiness seeing Twin Turbo win.
I liked how the hairstylist have her scissor even in a festival.

Was a great episode.

Man, they got me to tear up a few times towards the end of this episode. Most of the episode was pretty depressing, even the parts where Teio was having fun by herself, I hate seeing Teio so sad lol, I love happy Teio! And it looks like we’ll be seeing more of that because of that final emotional scene when Twin Turbo gave it her all to win that race, and that combined with her fans and her friends convinced her to try again. Really loved that, looking forward to seeing Teio get back to racing.

Lol. I knew it! No way Teio just surrendered like that! Its surely emotional seeing the first part, especially with the little horsegirl and her charm. But, there were always a thing that need to hold her off away from the racing fate. So, thats it! Twin Turbo dedicated herself to showed off her determination not to give up-which made Teio realized something that need to be done. Not to gave up so easily, Teio! For the sake of a thousand fans, for the sake of your fate to be the racing horse girl, until the end of your breath. Thats it. The retiring stage turned out to be a welcome back festival for Teio. Thats good!

Like other in this thread, I loved this episode, it's been a while since I literally teared up watching an Anime. I love Teio and also Twin Turbo. Really well-made emotional ep.
However I have to agree with dannymilk about the fact, if it were real life, this kind of issue won't be solved with the support of all this people, if anything it would probably make it worse, but as he also said this is Anime so it's okay :)

Twin Turbo's tactic of going full speed early amd praying the lead is big enough in the end is kinda hilarious and she even beat Rice Shower with it. She essentially collapsed over the finish line for the win, i laughed.

Btw Tracen Academy holding their fan festival on the same day and time as a race happens is questionable but whatever 🤣

Apart from that another emotional and rather sad-ish episode.

Besides all the things that happenned in this episode, i cant "accept" that race lol, i mean all Rice development about win/being a heel and her actual efforts to win turned into the ground just to a happy plot where the Uma musume wons just cuz she really wanted to win but basically dont have the preparation? Kind meh for sure but it is what it is. Rice and Mcqueen are the strongest and nothing can change my mind lmao.

... I haven't cried over an anime in a long time
I used to be a big crybaby, yeah, but after more than a decade watching anime, and more than 7 years of paying attention to the details of these seasonal anime analyzing and thinking over it, and after years of disappointments in real life, I've grown very desensitized of sad stuff.

It's even more magnificent bcs I already know Teio's story. Everybody who has researched a bit about Japanese horse racing already know the story of Tokai Teio.
A sign of a great storyteller is when he/she is able to make the audience feel strong emotion (and the right kind of emotion, too) despite the audience already knowing what will happen.
And a great story will stay great no matter how many times you read/listen/watch it.

wow Uma Musume S2. Just wow.

I don't want to sound like a total dick but everybody is super selfish in this episode, they all what Teio to come back to running while she already wreaked her leg 3 times and even the doctor sad that she won't be able to run at full potential any more.

So yeah when they are all screaming "TEIO, TEIO, TEIO!" at the end of the episode it feels more like encouraging someone to jump from the top oh a building, because who knows what will happen if she will break that leg for the 4th time? Maybe she won't be able to walk any more? But hey, with the power of anime and friendship she will be probably better than ever in the last episode.

AND HOW THE FUCK DID THE BEST GIRL RICE SHOWER LOSE TO TWIN TURBO?!

Also, I love how Uma Musume went from a cute "ad" for gambling at horse racing to a legit story about withing with the changes in your life, and fight for your own goals.

This isn't shounen. Twin Turbo actually beat Rice Shower during 1993 Sankei Sho. Rice Shower won 3 G1 races out of 11. Still a pretty good record.
Ik that, and im not fan of shounen lol, its just what is showed on the anime, all the efforts and blabla but they go to the groud bc the races in real life.
