I still didn't rewatch the whole episode just rewatched the part where Karen figured that Hikari's trapped, but the only thing Karen said was "Our play is slightly different from the script", that doesn't exactly mean that the starlight gatherer has always been different, she only said this after reading it in the present, furthermore, Hikari and Karen read starlight from the Starlight Gatherer in ep 9 and never read that last line where Claire is imprisoned.

PS : since Hikari's the only one that can read English, then maybe she could've just not read the last line on purpose, but in the end we can't say which theory is right for sure since we don't have any definitive evidence unless I'm missing something somewhere else in the episode, I'm gonna rewatch it soon anyway.
