So this season, there are 4 isekai anime, and none of them is any really good. And in case it's not enough, there will be even more Iseaki anime next season:
Seems like this year is the year of Isekai anime, there are plenty of them Personally, out of these six, I'm only looking forward to This Hero is Invincible but "Too Cautious", because based on the story, it seems like a funny one, and White Fox is animating it, so it shouldn't be that bad. I'll watch all of them anyway. Are you looking forward to any of them? Do you think they will be better than this season's Isekai anime? |

Yeah, the wrestler one. I'm delighted after reading "Genzo German suplexes the princess". But probably it will be the only funny moment, knowing anime "descriptions" that often have nothing to do with the actual show. |

I won't be bother watching any of them. I am much more interesting in Kabukichou Sherlock instead. That shit is giving me Joker Game vibe, and you know how it works, anime that are similar to Joker Game, is a must watch. |

1. I'll watch it just because it has a female MC for once 2. Sounds retarded but I might check it out just out of curiosity 3. Again, female MC so that's something; sounds less interesting than the other one but might try at least 4. Sounds like shit so no thanks. Although the story of the manga is supposedly by Konosuba's author so maybe not? I guess we'll have to wait and see 5. Seems like more of a slice of life thing, which might work and might be boring, hard to say. Not sure about this one yet |

I came here expecting more generic isekai, I left with new hope for humanity. Thank you, Wrestler-san. I'm so gonna watch that one. Also nice to see some more isekai with a female mc. |

Judging by their previews, they all look generic but can't really tell unless I watch at least one episode I guess. Studios should really try to animate good stuff , then again I am not sure who decides what gets animated. Congratulations to those who actually like isekai or any of the novels or manga these are based on I guess. |

Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be watching any of these shows next season. “Adolescence of a Bookworm” sort of piques my curiosity though and I’ve heard about good things about “This Hero is Invincible, but too Cautious” but I will mostly likely be watching just one of these even then. Also, if you consider SAO: Aliciazation - War of the Underworld, then maybe two in total. Thanks for taking the time for making this by the way, I still haven’t done my research on the upcoming Fall shows so this helps greatly! |

I've read most of them, at least their manga adaptions but if anything, I'm more worried about the visual aspect for their adaption. Most isekai this season could still be enjoyable if they weren't visually terrible. |

None of them look pretty good to me, I'll wait to see how they're received, but the whole next season looks pretty deceiving to me, except for some anmes Also : "and White Fox is animating it, so it shouldn't be that bad" Isn't it White Fox who is currently adapting Arifureta ? |

I don't think Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is an isekai, since i don't consider Hell/the underworld to be another world, ditto for Heaven. That aside, i'm looking forward to Hataage! Kemono Michi the most, the premise totally pulled me in, it seems pretty unique for an isekai. For example, the MC is not a otaku/gamer/hikkikomori and he is a huge animal lover which get's extra bonus points from me! It also looks super funny and also, the MC is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi who also sings the OP, what more could i want!!! Also the aforementioned Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is another one i look forward to, it looks cute and i like the character designs and bright colors, also has potential to be very funny as well! That's about it, the others don't seem interesting to me. |

Good news. I love Isekai anime But I think some of them are bad. Honzuki no Gekokujou looks like slice of life anime, not interested in this one Shinchou Yuusha and Choujin are must watch. Hataage! Kemono Michi looks interesting, might watch it also Not sure about the others. |

Still can't be worse than dr. stone anyway. I'll probably give a couple a chance; isekai isn't my favourite genre by a long way but I have 0 expectations so I can end up being pleasantly surprised. |

All of them look meh. Maybe I'm too pessimistic, but I think going by the earlier seasons that had no good Isekai that's a right to do. I think that Hataage! Kemono Michi might potentially be interesting along with Ascendance of a Bookworm, but I have no hope for the others. Now I just pray at least once of them will end up at least decent. |

Ascendence of a Bookworm's synopsis sounds like it actually would be an interesting and thoughtful series...but it's being adapted by a studio that has literally never made anything worth anything, soooo... "B-But the original Vampire Hunter D!" AJIA-DO HAS NEVER MADE ANYTHING WORTH ANYTHING. EDIT: Oh shit, I've never even put that on my MAL. Time to fix! |
This glorious signature image was created by @Mayumi! I am the Arbiter of Absolute Truth, and here is my wisdom: "Anime was always influenced by the West. This is not news. Shoujo is the superior genre primarily aimed at young people. Harem/isekai are lazy genres that refuse any meaningful innovation. There is no 'Golden Age.' There will always be top-shelf anime. You should be watching Carole & Tuesday." |

-Aincrad- said: This is my first time hearing about any of these, with one exception, but they actually seem like a pretty varied bunch, for those people who are interested in having a greater variety of isekai stories.Seems like this year is the year of Isekai anime, there are plenty of them Personally, out of these six, I'm only looking forward to This Hero is Invincible but "Too Cautious", because based on the story, it seems like a funny one, and White Fox is animating it, so it shouldn't be that bad. I'll watch all of them anyway. Are you looking forward to any of them? Do you think they will be better than this season's Isekai anime? Only the first one (This Hero is Invincible but "Too Cautious") looks like the stereotypical isekai with male protag in RPG fantasy world. Third one (Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!) at least shakes up the formula by making the protag a girl, and making the story premise about social status(?). And the sixth one (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun) looks like it'll be cast as a comedy rather than taken seriously like the first one likely will. Meanwhile... The second (CHOYOYU!: High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!) seems vaguely close to that but instead they bring tons of modern technology to a fantasy world. Also they get isekai'd as a group it seems. The fourth one (Hataage! Kemono Michi) seems is about a professional bodybuilder/wrestler character, and he runs a pet shop, so I'm presuming there will be animal antics here. The fifth one (Ascendance of a Bookworm) is the only one I've heard of before, and I PTR'd its manga or LN (I forgot which it was). And the protag (who also happens to be female) is concerned about literacy and wants to be a librarian. |

#1 - Looks like it could be funny, but I wonder for how long? "The hero is too cautious" is a joke that can only go just so far before it starts to feel repetitive and predictable, so hopefully the show will do some fun creative things with it, or at least have something else to offer. I do plan to at least check it out. #2 - Looks like it will be absolutely unbearable. I could not possibly be less interested in this. #3 - I'll check it out. It could go either way. At least it's a premise I haven't seen before. #4 - Same. I plan to at least check it out. #5 - This actually looks like something I'd really like. Unless the first couple of episodes are terrible, I'll be watching this one for sure. #6 - Nope. Not interested in the slightest. At least some of these seem to have a premise beyond "Japanese high school boy ends up in another world," even if we're still stuck with the same tired medieval fantasy world setting. I welcome any change in the usual isekai formula. As for whether they'll be better than this season's isekai, I have no idea. None of the this season's isekai were worth watching past the first episode for me. |

I like the first for the art style, but the rest looks pretty meh. I like isekai, but the genre is getting milked too much for me to really care about any new entries at the moment, unless they try something really unique again, or one pops up that has a significant edge in quality over any existing ones. |

Honestly this current seasons isekai animes are some of the lowest tier stuff ive seen, and these ones look a lot more promising to me, maybe after all these super generic isekais we are finally getting new innovative stuff. Also seeing white fox animating one of them is also great since they are one of the studios i trust the most with fantasy stuff, but its not as if any of these will become anime of the season with hero aca coming back |
