I expected something like this, considering the context in which it was mentioned.
Not the curse maybe, we just have parents from both sides who come from time to time, and now it's also a few more random people who have nowhere to stay in the city. Attention is a limited resource, and we got damn good weather plus school hols... like a snowball amid summer, haha.
PS: I added an extra paragraph to the pervious message after you replied, just in case.
Ah, it's Zarutaku who mentioned it, I added just in case. Anyway, no time for anime until the end of the month for me, too much chaos around. But I remember all the meaningful recs from the past, just haven't found a moment to stay alone and enjoy. Guests in the house, I have to play some socially acceptable role for a while, haha.
Hope you are doing well. Oh, have you read The Hidden Girl (and stories) by Ken Liu? I somehow remember you when I think on it, maybe because of that short story you once mentioned. Kinda acclaimed melancholic sci-fi.
Oh, cool, I'll check it, thank you! But it's based off a different novel, afaik. I watched the Amazon series based off the original, and didn't find it appealing. I'm more into the novel's melancholic side than into the setting itself tbh, having a soft spot for melancholy, haha.
I have finally watched Lost in Translation, thanks - it's a good film - about nothing and everything at once, haha.
The setting is amusing - I'd love to see that kind of Japan, but it seems to have drifted away with the foam of days. I don't even want to think about what it must have taken to shoot all those half-empty streets and roads downtown, where you are actually driving and driving, not endlessly stuck at red lights, lol.
Wow! I didn't like the music, but bold visuals of your AMV single-handedly sold me the Redline, haha. Thank you! (I guess I have to clean up my watching list not to loose it under tons of crap)
And I didn't know Cutie Honey is some "superhero" who appears in multiple anime - I remember you recommended me that brilliant "Re: Cutie Honey", and I always referenced it as just "Cutie Honey" (without "Re:"), thinking it's a unique/standalone thing, not part of a bigger picture - what a fool I was! So, why not watch "Shin-" now, since I absolutely loved the other one. Thank you!
Sakamoto was truly a waste of time, but not terrible. I just don't like even Onepunchman original, what did I expect from Onepunchman x Family? No idea, haha.
It's not even about seriousness, I'm not that serious, as you know, haha. Just haven't found a proper device for it - I normally read books on Kindle, physical books are to fill shelves with something. And with manga is terribly hard - you need to convert it to the proper format, and it doesn't look great, also need to zoom pictures to see all the details etc - becomes terribly tiresome.
Even worse on phone - kinda ok for webtoons, but not for classic manga pages. Once I tried to look for some colorful e-ink thingy, but it really had all the flaws of Kindle, just colored. And tablet or pc screen - they are a bit bulky, I don't really spend that much time indoor unless forced. Sounds like an excuse and maybe it is, but, well, no spark = no love. It just happened to be that way, haha.
Still I put your recommendation into the pocket, maybe one day...
Nono, just added it for a badge, haha. But I truly read a few volumes, right in the shop while buying some for my daughter, not just now, maybe a year ago - to check if it's ok for the age. I don't track manga anyway, can't understand the appeal - it should be LN at least, otherwise it feels like an appetizer: you are full still hungry. How about you? Hard to say anything about your tastes just from a few favs...
Will watch the video tonight, thank you!
Oh-oh, thank you! I remember everything what we were chatting about lately, just trying to sort some chaos out first. The family went a bit stray/savage, and it blurs the focus a lot, haha. Give me a bit of time, then we chat - I don't want to just throw some lazy response at your face.
