A school trip...but it's noticable that Sarah Tachibana makes her appearance this episode along with her sister.
Quite a cherry girl with an energetic personality.

Mei and Yuzu gets close but it seems they're not fully ready to accept each other yet. That confession though.

Awful episode. Still looks great but the story takes a turn for the 'stretch it out a bit longer'. How can you be pursuing someone for literally the whole series, that person makes a move on you and you change your mind... I get the sister thing but it just seems forced :/. A couple of episode left for a satisfying ending though...

The art in this episode was great.

That said, now it kinda feels like the show is just stirring up drama because it has too. I sorta get that Yuzu felt a little scared but didn't she get over all that in the initial episodes when she was coming to terms with her feelings? It definitely feels a little forced to have her reject Mei and then have her chase after Mei again for the exact same thing she did initially.

I liked Sara from what we've seen of her this episode but now we're basically back at square one. First it was Vice President-Mei, then Matsuri-Yuzu and now Sara-Mei, we're just gonna be going around in circles with these love triangles until we reach the point where Yuzu can accept her feelings. The first two were okay since it sorta goes along with Yuzu and Mei recognizing their feelings but this third triangle is just uncalled for especially since Sara seems a lot more likable than both the Vice President and Matsuri, It'd suck to see her feeling hurt at the end.

Need more Harumin. :(

I'm so annoyed at this. can all these third people just f off. I'm not even enjoying this anymore. it needs to focus on just the sisters and not all these other characters. i really hope this has a good ending to pick the series back up

Guess Yuzu still isn't ready for the next step then. After resolving their differences Matsuri seems to have gone back to her non hostile self it seems. Hmm being late for your first field trip though. Its fortunate that Sara and Yuzu actually had that meeting though. Sara and Yuzu sure had a fun adventure in Kyoto together though. It was nice that Yuzu and Sara were able to have that talk though. So the girl that Sara was interested in was Mei huh. Looks like Yuzu's answer isn't what Mei actually wanted it seems.

i remember a quote from sara in the manga 'love doesn't have gender'.

i thought at that moment that it was the whole idea of this story, somehow it wasn't included in this episode, sadly

and looks like the anime will end on

Assault-free episodes are the best ones ;-;
It made sense that Yuzu wouldn't want to go all the way with Mei right after overcoming their issues, but Mei pushing her away is just perpetuating the conflict longer. This'll probably be resolved by the end anyways. I'm interested to see these new characters who aren't being made out to be villains like Matsuri and Himeko were. It's interesting that Sara and Nina also have that inferiority dynamic that Yuzu has with Mei, it'd be great to see that used to explore and resolve their current issue.

Is it just me or does this episode look better than the prior ones? I had expected this to wane in quality over time, being a yuri and all, but it's going strong all the way to the finish line.

I feel the same way. The only thing that i thought when she said its time to give u wat u want now that u have helped me so much is my body made me think she would offer that to anyone the same way she acted non chalant about it with the gold digging former teacher. I really came to watch this beautiful yuri anime but now it seems they will spend all season in triangle love zones in hopes of making to a 2nd season and I doubt it will. So this show might end before it begins. Such a fuckn shame.

The scum that is Matsuri is back, but thankfully she had little screen time. Sara and her twin little sister are nice. The drama in this episode was insufferable. Mei and Yuzu tries to get close, but they just can't do it smh.

nah, i don't think they'll show any of that. unfortunately, it's only 12 episodes, so it won't cover a lot of story that's really good after this school trip. and i doubt there will be season 2 any time soon, if there even will be any

Problems are just springing up out of no where at this point. Yuzu hesitated when Mei let her guard down, and now everything is all fucked up again. At least Yuzu made a new friend—who happens to be openly bi, and is now in love with Mei it seems. Sara seems pleasant.

Another love triangle and Mei saying to forget about her sexually harassing Yuzu and that they are 'just sisters and nothing more' but then goes to sexually harass her again the next episode. Every single episode is the same thing at this point, except with a different girl in the love triangle.

funny how people here completely missed the point that its not that yuzu rejected mei, but mei thought everything yuzu wanted was her gorgeously blessed naked body not that i would mind though and was willing to give it to her as a reward like someone gives a dog a bone. yuzu did not reject mei, she rejected the idea that she only wants her body. i mean, it is not like all this is explicit in the manga, but i guess reading is too hard for people here

This is what happened in the manga for awhile..The drama went around in circles.. This should've been progressive..For the entire anime Yuzu came to terms that she loved Mei(more than a stepsister and once gain admits it to Sara) Now when Mei tries to open up(which is a huge stepping stone for someone as indecisive Mei) Yuzu backs off and it only confuses Mei more making Mei in turn become harder to "decode"

And the "sex for solace" trope this time WAS NOT there... this wasnt episode 6. Mei was fully in consent with having sex with Yuzu.. No emotional depression was there. Yuzu got cold feet for no reason

Yea apparently manga readers didnt like this volume.

It does feel like the drama is circling. Yuzu went from admitting she loved Mei to doing things(and gay dreaming) to Mei(licking Mei's ear) then when Mei's finally in her right mind and wants to give herself up Yuzu backs off? Uhh What?

it's not really shown in the anime, but the main purpose of this was to show that yuzu is having an emotional conflict. she's worried about it in various ways, like the feelings that mei actually experiences, what is going on in her head, what is that she desires. it's not about the sexual tension, even though yuzu is dreaming about it, but she's afraid and restrains herself not to make a mistake

plus, she's worried about the society's view, that's why she was so surprised when sara told her about the person that she likes being a girl. she's still trying to figure things out

I've been hoping since the anime was announced that they'd skip this. Last week's preview didn't even show the sisters, so I had a sliver of hope that they were at least changing something, but I guess not.

(sigh) like I get mei was fucking around with her earlier but mei stopped and yuzu started to reciprocate the same action but in a more serious tone(romantic sense, when I say serious). Finally, mei opens up to yuzu and she says "I can't" NAHHHNNIII like my guy at least why hey I think we're moving too fast lets slow down a bit COMMUNICATE with her properly, mei took it as a rejection and her explanation "I don't think this is appropriate behavior for step sisters" NAHHHHHNNIII thats what mei been saying but you were all in your feelings lol

but then again this happens a lot in romance animes

I actually read the manga and I remember dropping it mainly because of my frustration with these new characters constantly being introduced just so they can stir up drama. I think this episode itself is nothing really noteworthy, just like this arc is nothing really noteworthy. This anime feels like a double edged spear in which it reminds me of all the things I liked about the manga but also reminds me of all the things I hated about the manga.

even without the manga I understand it & think all should understand that much, but all the same it is still really frustating and I totally understand Mei. that rejection probably sounded to her, like she is afraid of her dark side that she just claimed to have, it will be no surprize if Mei will close up until she probes her again that she is thrust worthy.

The twin sisters finally made their appearance. Not my favorite part of the manga either, but can't be helped. Would be weird to skip it, as it is another trial for Mei and Yuzu to overcome.

Sara is such a sweetie pie, but little does she know that Mei and Yuzu are the stepsisters....

I fully understand why Yuzu hesitated with Mei. She wants to be with her, but she doesn't know if they should cross that line yet, if at all. But, it's still frustrating when she acts like this because it's so bipolar. One second she wants a romance, and the next just a family bond. With the way the series is set-up, I guess this indecisiveness was inevitable. I hope they eventually decide what the hell they want their relationship to be though.

I guess i can kind of understand why Yuzu didn't go through with it, even if she has been in love with Mei the entire show. She has no experience, so that could definitely be overwhelming/too fast. Being step sisters also makes it harder for her. Mei shutting her out like that is really childish. Sure she opened up or whatever, but how can she not try to understand Yuzu's perspective and why she'd act that way. Now we are just back to square one again. Hopefully this is resolved quickly. There's also another third party, but this time... they want Mei. Eh, feels a little silly given how Sara met Mei by total coincidence.

that schedule was crazy. 13:40 at Fushimi Inari Shrine, then 14:00 at Nijou castle, then 15:30 at the Golden Pavilion? It's at least a 15 minute subway ride from Fushimi Inari to the castle, and the Golden Pavilion is on the other side of town from Fushimi Inari. I spent about an hour at Nijou castle, and at least 4 hours at Fushimi Inari. Maybe I'm reading the schedule wrong?

Episode 10- I felt a lot of character development for Yuzu here. When shes rejects sex with Mei even though she wants it, it shows that she has some restraint. Mei however was confused by this and felt Yuzu was being hypocritical as she was trying to be more open sexually and Yuzu rejects sexual advances. Mei does not understand that Yuzu isn't ready and stops really talking to her. This makes Yuzu sad. When the whole school trip fiasco goes down Yuzu meets Tachibana Sara, a girl her age that looks like a loli. So like Koichi sized. Sara and Yuzu talk about love and that Sara fell in love with this uptight girl she forgot the name of. We learn here that Sara is bisexual as she says something about love knowing no gender boundaries. She also says "This time it just so happened to be with a girl." I feel the same way as her being bisexual myself and recently falling in love with a boy for the first time. Yuzu later tells Sara about her problems with Mei and how they got into an argument after Yuzu rejecting sexual advances from Mei. Sara helps out Yuzu and this really solidifies their friendship. When Yuzu and Sara catch up Yuzu is introduced to Nina. (Shes a bitch Fma joke). Nina is a very nice girl who tries to look good and she exposes a bit too much boobs. But we see Sara cover her tits up showing that Sara is a bit more conservative with sex like Yuzu is. Yuzu leaves and we learn that Sara was crushing on Mei. At the end of the episode Nina loses her charm that Sara bought her and she starts crying and stripping and just going on a mad dash to find it. This could be seen as fanservice but i think it is something else. I think Nina may have some sort of mental disability. I would know as she is showing signs of Asperger's and me having Asperger's i can kind of tell it. I do similar things. If i lose something I go insane and cry trying to find it. Also Nina acts younger than she is (Almost as if she was the right age to be fused with a doggo) which I also tend to do in real life. This just further cements the theory I made of her possibly being Aspergic. When she finds the charm we see Yuzu trying to fix her problems with Mei and it seems Mei isn't really wanting to go back to the relationship due to the Christmas incident. However Nina sees this too so I think she might misinterpret the situation and make Sara and Yuzu get into an argument over Mei. Also I'm ashamed that Matsuri was only in the episode for like 2 minutes. She was funny discovering Yuzu's secret hentai stash calling back to the time where Yuzu tried to use manga to see what sisterly sexual relationships should be like and Mei findin the manga. I like subtle things like that. Also Matsuri being perverted hammers in the fact that Yuzu did not have sex with Mei and also shows how Yuzu is open with others without sex. Mei seems to think that being open and intercourse are the same. Kinda like best girl in Evangelion Misato. Also why do i want a Pen Pen doll to appear in the anime. I know it won't happen but it would sure as hell be funny. I hope we get a season 2 of this adaptation.

Apparently that was how the mangaka envisioned the series to be, and it's understandable of the "one step forward, two steps back" theology just to create more senseless drama, so by this point (for anime onlys) dropping this would be inevitable, unless the ending is the saving grace of it all, whereas (for manga readers) this can easily be the low point of the series overall.

Yeap, nice sounding as always, sadly it's gonna be there (I presume) towards the ending.

its been 10 episodes and something about Yuzu saying "Mei" seems a little bit annoying
meanwhile the twins left a good first impression, i like them so far...even though its ANOTHER third wheel going on ugh

yuzu and harumin should just anime-ending get together instead
