| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Not bad this episode. For a penultimate episode, it feels like it's setting up for the finale and everyone coming together to do some good deed. Even at this point of the show, the characters are in bright spirits. Happy Birthday to Koharu! I love how everyone celebrates it after all the hard work she's done for everyone. I like that sweet melody song they played this episode too. |

| The end is near but hopefully next week will be a nice episode. This episode had it's nice parts the the president rejecting the TV producer for his ideas was a nice and somewhat unexpected development seeing his usual behaviour. It seems the festival is going smoothly with the TV company tho. |

| When Yoshino was giving her little speech about inspiration it started to remind me of Fune wo Amu. That type of fulfillment you get when doing something you love. Gonna miss this show. |

| Great episode. Old man Kadota rejecting the proposal from the TV company was great. It was foolish but a great thing. Happy birthday to Yoshino. They almost forgot. It was nice that Sandal-san found prove of his roots. The mayor of his town being in Japan is a huge coincidence. Lets hope that being twinned with an outside city will save Manoyama. I laughed way too hard seeing Maki's father taking pictures of her. |

| Turning down the tv offer for the festival play and they go on by themselves. Sandal's family helped build the pond so kadota goes to make deal with the states major who is in japan. |

| Sandal's VA did a very good job with the preview being said in English. =) The penultimate episode itself was splendid. Kadota might be a fool at times, but he did the right thing in telling the NLT presenter that he wouldn't be signing the contract and also venting his anger at him as well. After what happened with the Moving Mountains programme, I'm not surprised that they refused the offer. And all the better for it too. Seeing all of the citizens of Manoyama working together in preparation for the Mizuchi Festival was really enjoyable. Having a sister city to Manoyama sounds like a decent idea, so hopefully Kadota can make this idea work for the finale next week! =D |
| I don't get the part about Sandal's middle names: one of them would have to be Japanese if it was his grandmother's, right? | Good episode. It was great watching Kodota yell at that direction and basically telling him to get lost, they should be able to do things their way. Happy birthday Yoshino. Nice start to the festival, almost makes me want to go there to watch it. Only 1 episode to go, I will be sad when this ends, it has been a long journey and they are right about the queen growing up, Yoshino has come a really long way. |

| Nice episode. Pretty cool to see Kadota reject the TV people. I like how they found the stone with the names of the people who created the Sakura Pond carved on it. Sandal and Kadota might be able to save Manoyama now. Loved it when everyone wished Yoshino a Happy Birthday. Looks the festival was met with quite some success. Looking forward to the final episode next week. That English PV though. XD |

| 1) I don't understand why people compare this to Shirobako. Other than the MCs being 5 girls, Sakura Quest is actually more similar to PA Work's Hanasaku Iroha. Only instead of the theme revolving around "family" it revolves around "community." 2) I'm sad that Sakura Quest is actually ending. It should have a minimum score of 7.45, imo. I would be happy with that bare minimum. 3) That new music where he was gonna drive to the other town was lit. 4) His driving is actually a perfect representation of me, lmao. But everyone kind of drives crazy in my city anyway. We're all stupid.. together <3 |

| Waaah... this wonderful, hidden gem of a show is coming to an end. Only one more episode to go... *Ahem* I really enjoyed this slow yet peaceful ride, from episode 1. I feel like this show is like a peaceful boat ride on a scenic lake on a warm sunny day. So charming and lovely. Finally everything is going to wrap up. I hope Yoshino decides to stay in Manoyama, and continue to be part of the charming community. |

| This is a very heartwarming episode. With Yoshino's birthday celebration with the festival participants. Everyone's countdown for the festival. Sandal being very cute (as always). Elders carrying the shrine like it's nothing, thanks to Doku's invention. Hehe. I'm so happy everyone's enjoying the festival, and I hope Kadota-san will not ruin the festival like 50 years ago. Just do you, Kadota-san, and come back before the play starts. Omfg. I can't believe the next one will be the last. I'm not okay, I will miss this show so much. :/ *listens to Sandal's sexy voice in the preview for the nth time* Ugh. Ugh. Beautiful bastard! |

| Another heartfelt episode~ And great penultimate build up episode for the finale. Kadota was actually really cool this episode. I've always thought of him that way lol but he was really level-headed this time around. Hope he succeeds in his task and pulls back Manoyama from the hands of an impending danger approaching the town. And it is implied that way. But just... it pretty much kills my hope for the 2nd season :( With all the girls having their future course of actions planned out, it finally dawns upon you that along with Yoshino's ending contract, we're at the final chapter of our journey. Makes you realize that not only Yoshino, but all the girls have become so mature since the start of the show and how far they have come together :') They're now integral part of Manoyama and has played various roles together in lives of folks residing in the town. I'm not ready for the finale yet. Going to miss the anime. |

Yoshino says in this episode that she still hasn't made up her mind to stay on in Manoyama - or we could say that she has decided in her heart, but her mind is lagging behind. As far as the TV producer knows, she'll be back to Tokyo soon, leaving the town in need of a new queen. And Kadota's original pick for queen was an idol from out of town! I don't like the TV producer, what he did with the "reality show" was scummy. Replacing Ririko in the performance is completely unacceptable. But suggesting an idol as new queen, I can't hold that against him. |

His original pick was quite unreasonable and ridiculous, he has found himself to be very contend with Yoshino, and has become rather fond of her (he treats her a bit like his granddaughter). While he's not one to apologize or even openly state that he was wrong, that doesn't mean he can't change his mind. |
