| Phew, I couldn't tell if I was relaxed or exhausted by the end of that first episode. Hikari is certainly...special. "Special." Ohh it's finally here. A decent introductory episode with some nice little themes that are familiar to the Aria series. Also love seeing those iconic special faces, Futaba's is like "don't panic!" and Hikari's is all "HEHEHEHEHEHE!" I like how they've introduced the contrast between the two characters with Hikari being adventurous with her diving and Futaba being conservative as seen with her constantly reminiscing on the photos and checking for messages from her middle school friends. I can definitely touch base on that, however, as my high school debut was pretty much the spitting image of hers. Also really can relate a great deal to Futaba's introduction dilemma. I'd always stammer up on them in high school and early college. I'd be too busy overthinking what would leave a good first impression and it'd leave the worst one when I draw a blank. |

| Wow, Hikari is even more saccharine than Akari... kinda hard to connect emotionally to her character. Futaba seems the character I'll be taking more of a liking to, but we'll see I suppose. Other than that, great episode, engaging and very good presentation. |

I prefer more people who just can't help but -consciously or unconsciously- try to find something annoying / unpleasant from this show (aka whining) just to express something negatively to simply stop watching it asap. Just not the kind of show for them. It just wouldn't do any good both for them and especially for the show. Anyway, definitely the best SoL for me this season, if not the whole 2016. |

| Hmm the animation for this is so weird. Sometimes it was really uncharacteristically for J.C.Staff and then suddenly with the next scene I can only think "yea that's definitely J.C.Staff". The comedy-faces(wouldn't call most of those chibi-faces. They were way too weird for chibi-art. Really, man. Those weren't cute at all most of the time) aren't helping with that. It won't stop me from watching if it is funny but it really surprised me when I saw the studio which animated it. That was better than expected tbh. I really liked when the teacher ran through the room with that angry face just to stop the whistling xD |
| I still don't think Amanchu is actually GOAT of the genre, but seems that it does actually work nicely as anime. Probably could cut out some of the sd faces. Otherwise it seems like a quality adaption, which is enough for me. Not like it actually needs to one up the best of the genre to be a decent show. |

| AMANCHUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! Yes! I was surprised when I saw the listing for the first episode. I must have missed the announcement somewhere. Never imagined it would get an adaption since the manga has been on hiatus for such a long time. Brings me back to the days when I watched Aria. Nice and relaxing. Even better since Amanchu was created by the same mangaka who created the Aria series. We have a token cat, too. Did enjoy this first episode. And I'm looking forward to the rest. Awesome ED theme too. |

| It was alright I guess, I don't think it has the magic Aria does maybe its because this is the only the first episode though. Hopefully they stay away from the school stuff its overdone as fuck. |

| Another peaceful SoL with diving by JC staff...looks promising! LOL at those slapstick faces! Kohinata & Ooki are total opposites on their personalities! but I bet those two will be best friends. I's also nice to see a different school uniform for girl that doesn't look like super mini skirts! 4/5. |

| I see. this is gonna be another anime like Flying Witch from the previous season huh? J.C Staff recently really likes making some realxing stuff XD and i really like that J.C Staff is trying to potray the beauty of the nature with their beautiful, gorgeous animation and art. first Mountain and now Beach/Ocean. i really like it a lot. But the differences from Flying witch that this anime doesn't have any supernatural stuff like flying witch. instead of supernatural, it has a drama which i really like. although, so far, if i had to compared this and flying witch, i still like flying witch more. again, the animation and art looks really great. it has it's own unique art. and not only that, the part when the character were making funny faces, just gonna be honest, that part always looked funny and hillarious to me xD i really like how they made that kind of face xD looking foward to the next episode. |

| I really hope their relationship actually turns into romance! I'm guessing it won't though :( I really like Futaba, I can relate to her shyness and she seemed more realistic. I don't know how I feel about Hikari though... she is extremely unrealistic and immature, but I guess a lot of anime characters are unrealistic, if I get used to that fact maybe I'll grow to like her. Also I love swimming and the ocean in real life so this anime is really relaxing in some parts to me. I wish I lived near a beach! |

| I have a DEEP fear of the ocean, especially the Mariana Trench. Also, knowing that we've only explored about 5% of the ocean doesn't really help curb my insane imagination. I have nightmares where something is dragging me down into the pitch black depths of the ocean and my body strangely doesn't explode from the pressure so instead of dying, I'm alive and I see horrendous things down there. I hope this Anime will cure me of my thalassophobia. I also have nightmares that I travel back in time, millions of years and I'm plunged into the vast ocean where I'm suddenly bait for prehistoric sea dinosaurs. I'm scared of the ocean and scuba diving but at the same time... I would do it because I'm curious and want to see what's down there before I die. Putting that aside, I think the girls' school uniform is quite pretty. I love Kohinata's personality even though one would probably think she has brain damage or something. The yuri is strong between Kohinata and Futaba although I can see Kohinata totally overwhelming Futaba. |

| really amazing first ep, was looking forward to this series and it was worth it series gives off really good feels and the animation is amazing also really looking forward to more of this series and also it gives off a yuri feel to it also and i love yuri series so that is also a plus for me will enjoy this series |

| A very sweet and delightful first episode, although those faces were a tad bit overused. Still it didn't really bother my enjoyment of the episode. As well as the fact that animation was beautiful. 4/5 |

| Relaxing in a way, but it felt super slow that my eyelids started closing (then again, its almost 12am :p) Liked the facial expressions but I hope they don't overuse them. Interested to see where this goes and hopefully NOT the shoujo-ai route... |

| With Food Wars, JC Staff is going to provide us a great season ! This episode 1 was delightful ! Great visuals, OST and sweet characters. Hype is real. ♥ I just hope there won't be any yuri moments. >_< |

| I'm glad I picked this up, that was relaxing, funny, fairly entertaining, and those school uniforms have got to be the worst I've seen in anime history hahaha!!!!! Something about them bothers me lol. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this one. |

| Aside from the art and animation, this was pretty meh. I mean yeah it's cute but that's about it... and don't get me started on those faces. Pikari is hella annoying and the faces she makes doesn't help. Teko on the other hand is alright with me, she doesn't annoy me as much as Pikachu Pikari. Overall it's thanks to her that I managed to pull through with this episode. I guess I'll stick with it for now but I won't be expecting much. One last thing : I love the school uniforms though, don't understand the hate for that lol. |
