This list is a work in progress. I've been watching Anime for over 20 years now, and only started creating this list at the end of 2007. Unlike many others, I'm a completist, so I want to add pretty much everything I've seen, and while this is certainly nowhere near complete, I should have over 95% of what I've seen here.
Related to this, I recently acquired a newer and better computer, with a hard drive sufficient to hold my old backed up archives (several dozen gigs). Among these was a screenshot folder for, of all things, Mars of Destruction. The funny thing is, I have absolutely no recollection of having ever seen it, yet the screenshots, clearly taken by me, are definitive proof I have. So, since I cannot comment on it, and don't want to see the worst-rated title here again, Mars of Destruction has the dubious honor of being the only thing on my completed list I have not rated, and also the only anime I know I've seen that I remember absolutely nothing about.
While I admit to some downloading, I have increasingly resorted to streaming owing to high-quality streams from several sources, and Netflix's intelligent decision to make subtitled anime available for instant watch. I also make every effort to acquire official releases of favored titles, and currently maintain an extensive library of over 1000 US-release DVD/blu-rays and 150 video tapes.
My DVD/Blu-Ray collection consists of about 680 individual volumes (including 22 art boxes), 85 two-dvd volumes, and 85 box sets/thinpacks. It totals over 182 completed TV series, along with a handful of partially completed series and several dozen OVAs/movies.
At some point, I'll get to chronicling the incomplete series and standalone OVAs/Movies (as much for my own records as anyone else), and there's still another box of dvds in storage that may have a few more series I've forgotton (I know it has two of these!).
*Denotes collector's items that are worth significantly more than the original MSRP, usually several times what I paid for them.
**These series have half-length episodes, but I'm using the actual episode counts just like MAL does
***Only the last volume is a collector's item - it was produced in limited quantities after Funimation acquired the license for those that bought the art box with volume one, but was also sought by people with individual volumes but no art box
****Supposedly has another 11 episodes, but seeing as how they've never been licensed and I've never been able to find them, I'm pretending they don't exist.
