Synopsis

One of the problems that faces all studios, regardless of their medium, is how to build on success. The most obvious solution is to create a sequel, however as most people know, the sequel is rarely on par with the original, and it's unfortunate that following the success of the Sakura Taisen game and the OVA Ouka Kenran, the follow-up anime is guilty as charged.

Basically this is the followup to Sakura Wars Ouka Kenran or Sakura Wars OVA. But if you really want to be chronological about watching the series then I'd suggest starting with Sakura Wars Ouka Kenran, then follow up with Sakura Wars T.V. Series and then watch this installment; Sakura Wars Gouka Kenran.

So to sum it up this furthers the story, it adds on what we already got. The main purpose of this OVA isn't to be some kind of stellar sequel to the first OVA, it's basically there to let you get to know the characters a little more and to throw some read more
