Yeah...I think mixers aren't exactly Sakamoto's type of thing. I still find it interesting that the story throws him with some of the older kids.

Not really surprising that they want to do some penalty games. Perfect performance from him as usual. That god-tier opera voice...

This was probably my fav ep of the series.

Both halves were great.

First half with Sakamoto's Swag. Dat Sax and Opera were 10/10 XD
Gotta admit the girls were quite the lookers too :P

second half with Sakamoto's story about a boy who ate french food and his body became monstrous with 4 arms was so hilarious lololol

Only the best ship material for Sakamoto and what Mal has named 8823. Ok. Interesting story behind that I hope? Episode was good, especially the mixer part and when Sakamoto and "8823" switched positions >:3

This episode wasn't really that funny but it was still really good. Both halves were great.

Sakamoto alien confirmed XD
Such singing skill from Sakamoto XD

Second half wasn't really that funny but it was still really nice to watch, That four arm monster at the end though :3

Great episode. Cool to hear the OP song faintly in the background at the start. Those two guys inviting Sakamoto to a mixer. Definitely a bad idea for them.
Lol the hippo opening up to Sakamoto & that arm sax sounded so good.
Brilliant Opera singing there. All the girls want him.

Hayabusa asking Sakamoto for help. That was an awesome team-up.
That was a cool little fight & that body transformation scared those thugs.
Hayabusa is such a great son to his father.

Best episode in quite a while for this series. Both halves were great in their own way, and it didn't feel as repetitive as this series has felt for the last few episodes.

Not the funniest episode. But both halves were really good. I'm not surprised Sakamoto would pull off singing that well, and even charming the girls with the opera.

The second half was hearth warming. Seeing that Shou went to Sakamoto for help, and Sakamoto helped him till the end was really nice. I hope a friendship between the blooms.

This was a pretty good adaptation of the manga version. Most of the jokes hit their stride and the four arm thing was a lot better than the manga.

The only downside about all this is that it reminded me that the manga already ended...

Nothing special as a whole in terms of the comedy, but it was still entertaining as usual. My favorite part was definitely the fight scene. "I can't read his movements!"

This has to be one of the better episodes for me. Plenty of humour in the mixer. The attempt to make Sakamoto look bad ended up bringing all the ladies to him instead. The Sakamoto-8823 partnership was amazing as well.

I just burst into laughter after seeing him sing in German (that burp man!! i'm still crying over that)
It was also a really nice insight into Hayabusa's character 10/10 episode

So that's why no OP. It's already "merged" as a BGM. LOL
And there we have it, seeing Sakamoto doing one thing from lots that he can do best. Making girls fall in love with him. It doesn't matter the age or social class.

Both halves were great. The first half was really funny with Sakamoto being able to pick up girls with his German opera singing. The second was was also funny with Sakamoto and Hayabusa's teamwork. And Hayabusa showed that he's a really good son to his father. The four-armed monster at the end was just hilarious.

The first half was funny as heck. Sakamoto can pull ladies with the power of his arm-sax and Opera singing.

Second half was more to bring out a message, though I have to say that Hayabusa's dad is an idiot. Why is he pretending to be rich when he actually ain't? He'd get found out soon enough, and even if the lady was actually a rich heiress, she would've dumped his ass as soon as she found out.

That's Hayabusa dad? Hmm starting to think he's adopted lol. I have to say though, I like how the characters develop little things like Hayabusa's scar or Kubota long hair and they stick around instead of just being reset every episode.

Best episode yet, both parts were equally hilarious.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Agreed with above......both halves very nicely done! Slapstick comedy is fun but sometimes a more subtle humor is just as pleasing. This week had nicely done touches that just made me smile inside and out. Good stuff Sakamoto!

Probably my favorite ep so far. Also I loved how they creatively placed the opening playing in the background near the beginning!

I thought the series had lost it's edge, but this definitely made me like it again. I wonder how many episodes it'll be?

It was pleasing to see how those two guys' plan fell through in the first half, Sakamoto is simply too charming. I was wondering what was up with the banging on the door, I felt I should've seen that coming.

I love Hayabusa even more this episode, he's a good brother and son. I guess his father learnt that is just better to be honest. Hayabusa and Sakamoto complemented each other very nicely in this ep.

Man this series is so good. Every episode is either extremely funny, has some kind of positive message, or a combination of both. Sakamoto is a series I never expected to like, and its sad to hear that this season will adapt all the manga so there will never be a second season.

i guess there won't be an ep focusing on him being in middle school. dangit that was really funny!

and i have now lost count of sakamoto's followers since the flood of girls came after him in the first half.

oh and and i'm not eating snails to appear intelligent or anything.

P.S., did anyone else notice that the OP was sang in the background instead?

I see, I stopped reading to the part where Kubota's mom goes to school.

Can someone translate Slope Book in Japanese? I know Slope = Sakamichi and Book = Hon. There may be other equivalents for them... but just maybe if their characters are combined... they form Sakamoto? His given name is still a mystery lol.
