578 animes completed impressive.
I have not seen it yet, but "run with the wind" appears to be an anime about running.
Keep up the good work volunteering and such!

Yeah, I see where you're coming from, but to me, while Chitose was a bit relatable, she was too much of an ass to everyone around her to really be funny. She did develop a lot as a character but in the end, it wasn't enough for me to call her enjoyable as a protagonist. The fact that she wanted to make it big and put in the bare-minimum effort to try and achieve her goal, naturally didn't achieve her goal, and then complained about it as if it wasn't her fault really irritated me. Plus, the fact that Gojou pointed this out to her on multiple occasions and tried to give her legitimate advice and Chitose just totally ignoring him pissed me off even more. Chitose was what ruined the show for me, and even though she did get development throughout the series, even Kuzu ended up getting more development than she did by the end.

Explain to me... What is it that makes Girlish Number a good anime...? It was nothing but 12 episodes worth of pure suffering for me.

Merry Christmas Eve! how I wish that I could give you Digimon Survive if it were released yet.

I hope you're doing well this spring and I can't wait to watch the Vinland Saga anime this summer (hopefully, it'll be a rated R anime), but I also want get into the new Fafner movie some time and the Fafner series are original plus the series are also close to being rated R. Btw, I think you have good taste in anime so far.

Japan doesn't have significant age barriers and yet many anime made for kids these days. Many anime are still based on basic literature, which I'm picky about.

So anyway! yeah! I encourage you to give Outlaw Star a chance some time. I've watched it like 4 times already and it's still the best sci-fi anime in a long time.
Kurt_Irving Mar 16, 2019 6:42 PM
I see that you're watching Mobile Suit Gundam, pretty dated show, huh!? it's decent and when a buddy of mine watched its sequel called Zeta, he talked up quite a storm and got enraged. Not sure if you already know this, but the MSG: The Origin OVA from 2016 tells you the events that happened before Mobile Suit Gundam or The Origin manga from 2001 (I love it btw, even though it's a long and rewritten Gundam story). I kinda wish that Yasuhiko could write a new manga, but you know, he's old by now.

Happy Birthday!!! Hope your day is a great one, Eve! :D

Btw, since you're still a fan of Ayako, then I think Zegapain is also right for you. It doesn't follow a typical anime formula nor is it written exactly like basic literatute at all like a lot of actual anime that I'm seeing now and when this sci-fi anime came out, it was the peak of Ayako's career.
Kurt_Irving Jan 20, 2019 7:08 PM
I almost forgot that Ayako Kawasumi was one of your favorite actresses and Outlaw Star is one of my favorite roles from her along with GTO. Too bad I couldn't play .hack//G.U. in Japanese and hear Atoli's Japanese voice, which is Ayako's, but I did hear that lady in Odin Sphere. So yeah! Ayako was pretty young back in the late 90s.

P.S I finally completed Suikoden 4, very underrated RPG

I feel like our divisions are quite the opposite from each other. 2 of the xc runner from the town next to mine qualified for the olympics, although they were not fast enough to make it in the actual race. But yeah, you can tell how competitive we are here, especially in the north east. So basically the weather is always in mint condition, but on the contrary, runners here can't stand the gruesome heat.

Which state do you live in if you don't mind me asking? Curious what the forecast/climate is like there.

21:18 is my personal record. Don't think I'm on varsity, in fact to get a letter in my district requires a PR of 18:30 or below. And that's because we are always trying to top the next town, we were rivalries for the past 2 decades. Going sub 7 per mile is hell I'll tell you.

So you practically carry your xc team heh? Well I'm glad that you are trying very hard I presume. And who knows if my time well allow me to qualify in college varaity, but if that's a no, there are clubs either way, at least not as competitive as division III xc.

No worries, I don't go on as often sooo.
Do you have any gud stories care to share during your races?
