| After the long illness Ruka is probably used to polishing his own sword and doesn't need Shiori to do it for him. At this point I wish the show focused more on the characters we already know instead of always introducing new ones for a short fight. |

| Didn't care for this episode at all. They pulled a random character out of the hat, continued with the repetitive plot, and didn't really accomplish much of anything with the episode. I can't help but feel like the series is starting to lose steam, and my interest is starting to crumble. |

| I liked this episode a lot, actually. I think I take back not like Juri as much... Her relationship with Shiori is complex. I don't like Shiori at all though. I mean, how far do you think "polishing swords" everyday will get you? It doesn't work for most girls, especially in the respect department. |

I can't help but feel like the series is starting to lose steam, and my interest is starting to crumble. agreed. this arc started out intriguing until the cars came. then it reverted to a progression not unlike a videogame, where you have to collect an arbitrary number of plot tokens or beat a certain number of guys to continue. i think it works alright in videogames, but i'm less appreciative of it in anime. also, this seems like a weird way to render the ocean  |

| I love Juri's character so I enjoy her episodes a lot. it's also interesting how she has to compete with a guy for a girl she likes, what a refreshing love triangle lol those car rides never fail to make me laugh, that random shirt opening is a true skill Ruka is an interesting character, I wonder what he's after |

| I liked this episode, but I did kind of think Ruka was sort of pushing it as a character. He'd been mentioned in both of Jury's previous episodes, but we have never actually seen him before so having him just show up, grab a rose, and start dueling was a little...jarring. I think the show pulled it off because for me this show can do no wrong, but I remember specifically feeling in the scene where talks about the End of the World's disappointment with the student council thinking "that was fast." That being said not much real advancement was made in Jury's story this time, I wouldn't be surprised if based on the preview she isn't a little more in focus next episode but she really wasn't in the episode that much and was pretty much the same as she's always been throughout. I did really enjoy her meeting with Ruka though, it showed a lot of history between two characters with very little effort. I think part of what makes Jury's lack of progress, so frustrating here is that it's also where we see how completely irredeemable Shiori is. We already saw her nasty side during the Black Rose Arc, but the ending twist that Ruka's sword polishing thing was a lie she had gone along with really just shined a spotlight on how awful Shiori's personality is. I think it's cool Jury is yet another lesbian, but it's frustrating the object of the love that defines her character is so callow and spiteful. I did find it interesting, in this go round our duelist was already indoctrinated to Akio's train of thought. He actually persuades Shiori to be his Rose Bride which was a first, and I found it interesting too how he seemed very familiar with the world of the Duelists. His assertion that his failure was due to a bad rose bride showed he's had some experience with this. I felt that for me, this is where the repetition of the car scenes started to reach power level. "If you're heart still hasn't given up hope, you can still here it racing down the highway of the end of the world." I love it. Curious how much longer it will go on. |

| An important question: Why is Juri still in love with Shiori? Shiori is not a good person, and it hurts me to see Juri in pain/emotional agony. The car scene in this episode was downright pornographic. They've been subtle up until this point, but hands on bare chests, close-ups on their moaning faces, "Don't you love the throb of the engine?"...how did this air at a children's timeslot in Japan? |

I kinda feel the show is spinning its wheels lately, despite the bare chested sex car/vertical drift awesomeness, since not much is really being added, like what did we learn new of substance about Miki and Kozue in episode 26, or Saionji's nonsense back in episode 24? Maybe this next episode will pick things up by refocusing on Juri. |

When Utena walks among the boys (underlining her tomboyish nature), there's this phallic tower in the background, and when the OP cuts to Anthy walking among the girls (underlining her womanhood), there's a wide gate in the background. I wonder if I'm imagining things. Or is this a real metaphor for you-know-what? This episode's duel song was...weird. With lyrics about hermaphroditism o.o |

| Amazing episode :) Not gonna lie, I thought Ruka was the boy Shiori liked and came back. Seems it's another different character altogether. And his voice. I thought he was some sort of live action actor, but it turns out it's the same VA that did Yusuke (Sasaki, Nozomu) from Yu Yu Hakusho! WTF! He doesn't sound like him! Which makes him so good :D It seems this is the first time the bride had inadvertently turned the tide of the duel. jk, This happened so many times with Anthy. This is the first on the opponent side though. Still, I'm surprised they are continuing this arc. I thought he would just be a one time thing. Can't wait!! |
| Another Juri episode that had almost nothing to do with Juri herself this time. Let's see: another playboy character was introduced out of the blue just for the sake of more forced drama and Shiori, who was already established to be quite the bitch, somehow managed to become even more unbearable this time. I'm so tired of all these side characters, honestly. |

| This episode was a bit boring. I hoped we would learn something different about Shiori and Juri, but nope. Just a confirmation that Shiori is horrible and Juri is hopeless. The new guy was boring, he reminded me Toga but less interesting. The series in general is starting to get tiring with all its repetions and recycled animations and plot points... There are some plot points that are unecessary because they are repeated, for example we had enough incest with Nanami, we didn't need more with Miki's sister. Just how we didn't need now another asshole guy, Ruka. We already had Toga... |

I truly believe Shiori likes Juri but don't you all understand that at this time being anything other than a cisgender heterosexual person was not okay? Juri has accepted that she likes Shiori that way but I believe Shiori either doesn't realise she likes Juri that way or she does realize it but is obviously afraid of whatever consequences this may bring. Obviously this does NOT excuse her terrible actions but it gives some insight to some of her thought process. Or at least I'm assuming this is what's happening with her, I could be totally wrong but these are my current thoughts. I noticed a lot of people hating on Shiori but I think she's not that horrible or well, at least I think I understand her attitude. | @smallest_moon The reason she isn't liked is because she is jealous of Juri to the point where she actively loves to cause her pain. Plus, when she's around, Juri is just pathetic and lovesick. If someone being around your favorite character, actively makes your favorite character worse, then wouldn't you want them to go away? |
