I think this may be one of my fav's this season we will have to see!! I'm excited. I loved how they created a level of mythology to go along with the story as well!!! Well, it's more of a hope in my case because the first episode was incredibly boring and the characters seem cliche as hell (childish girl who you can't stop thinking just why the heck everybody would want to hit on that, arrogant childhood friend that will proclaim his love to aforementioned gal by bullying her, calling her names and being a complete prick to his more empathic rival, etc.) but hey, it's only the first episode. Let me see if it gets better. |
| the underwater animation where freaking amazing. so far i like what i see, they've semi-established the pace of the show by showing the emotional problem in the first episode which give the characters time to grow as the show goes on and build on a foundation that has been set for em. cant wait till the next episode |
| well. dont really know what to say it was animated pretty amazingly, and the underwater scenes were pretty fantastic for a tv series but its one hell of a weird show. ill give this a 3 ep rule, see how it goes |

| Really good show. Too bad Burikis amazing character designs got butchered by PA Works incompetence... Still you see they are his. Really looking forward to more of this. Also someone made a comparison to SSY and I agree, but mostly because of the music and the fantasy. I wonder if the soundtrack is by the same guy/girl. |

| This has a great plot, animation, OST and animation. The character design looks cute to me and the voice of Ryouta sounds awesome. and the OP & ED sounds relaxing to hear. The characters seems to be a 5th grade to me. Great first episode, looking forward for more episodes. |

| Love the setting and the dynamic between the sea humans and surface humans. However, I have my own issues with the main cast and how the drama between them is executed. Lots of "Huh" moments but I'll see how things go before deciding anything. They didn't make as much of a good impression as P.A Works last show ,Eccentric Family, to say the least |

But given the fact that I already dislike Manaka and am not overly fond of Hikari as well, I'm just gonna root for Chii and surface-boy in this love-triangle constellation. Still I hope the interactions later on make me lass angry at the characters. Though the anger could be useful if they handle it right. The show definitely wins the award for setting of the season though, at least for me it does. |

| The concept is pretty interesting and unique! The graphics are kind of weird, but it's still beautiful. What's bothering me is the fact that there is no bubbles under the sea (like you know, in spongebob............ ... .) Love triangles in the first ep, great. OP and ED are ok I guess. This is pretty interesting. |

| i can tell that this love thing is going to give me a lot of pain. the animation is superb tho and i actually do like the characters (not having too many problems with manaka's crybaby character and hikari is lacking a bit imo but im p sure that somebody will teach him a lesson about how to properly treat his crush sooner or later), yet i am not too eager to go through watching this for 26 long weeks. depends on the plot though, so i will watch another 2 or 3 episodes first before i will decide whether i lay the anime off until it's finished to marathon it all in one go or keep watching it weekly. |

| Another boring generic school kids romance anime. Those 24 minutes felt like an hour because of the boring dialog. The plot is pure crap, people live under the sea, and girl has fish in her knees ?! There is many good animes this fall, so there is no reason for me to watch this crap. |

| Amazing series so far and the best series out of everything that has been aired! Until Kuroko's Basketball and Refrain...xD I loved the world under the sea so beautifully animated a must keep for me this season. |

| Having no idea before watching this, turns out... IT WAS THE BEST 1ST EPISODE SO FAR!!! I love the world, i love all the character, even the one that i thought i would hate (The surface boy), turns out to be interesting, i love Manaka, the MC, that blue haired girl, omg no one is one dimensional, everyone has a hint on being more than a one-dimensional character, there seems like there are some layers in their personality and that's a pretty good start. The story is interesting and the world is just beautiful!!!! I wonder why the little bratz writing a "GET LOST" gravity.... THE ENDING SONG IS SO CALMING AND BEAUTIFUL Well, overall, best first episode, best characters, and best setting so far. |
| What the hell, she's already in love with this Tsumugu guy? she just met him, they didn't even talk much?.I really hate when this happens in any show ._. Hikari is kinda annoying as well, such a tsundere.Only characters that seem interesting are probably Kaname guy and Scale guy. Visually it was reall nice.Warm colors and nice animation.OP and ED aren't the best, but it's not like i want to skip them.OST - nice. In general im pleased with first episode, im just worried that some characters will make me want to pull out hair from my head. |

| I loving it, nice first episode, interesting world, I wonder how this turns out - slice of life or some drama? (seeing those hourglass in the end and 26 episodes) I also can't to learn how this seafolk works, what are their habits, laws and so on. P.A.Works really has some great themes to their anime. Edit: I see this to be pretty slice of life -ish in the beginning but coming I see this offering and reaching maturity will be great deal and I presume one of main themes will be love and related renouncement of sea raiment to live on land in the end. |

| Not bad. I enjoyed it mostly. I don't like the hairstyles of the main boy and girl. Reminds me of Ano Hana a lot. The side characters seem to be more attractive. :| What I enjoyed the most was definitely the setting. Very interesting. This show also does a good job at direction. Stuff happens in an orderly way, that I'm not bored or confused. Will keep watching for sure! HanaKana voicing main girl <33 So adorbs. Kayano Ai as well! :) So, there's already a love pentagon going on? Isaki -> Chisaki -> Hi -> Manaka -> Kaname. This feels like Shinsekai Yori all over again. Isaki = Mamoru. Kaname = Shun. | Tsumugu Kihara reminds me of Doumeki from xxxHolic. His underplayed emotional expression at least. :D Lovin the background, but so far all the characters are kinda lacking(the old fisherman seems interesting), but it is episode 1, so it can only get better i hope. |

| First of all, the visual is really great. As for the character, I thought Tsun-Hikari was really annoying throughout the whole episode. I however really like Manaka. Maybe it's because of Hanazawa, but I really like the character. I'll wait before making an opinion on the other character because we didn't see them that much. Overall, good first episode and I look forward to what's next. I have the feeling it's going to be good |
| I loved the background artwork for this series. In some series a studio can definitely get away with subpar background art but P.A. Works has really great background art and a fantasy series like this really shows off their strengths. Nothing much jumped out at me about the characters themselves, although this is only the first episode. There wasn't a moment like with Ohana from Hanasaku Iroha where you were interested in the show because of Ohana's infectious energy right from the get go. In contrast the characters seem very standard fair, almost like cardboard cutouts for a standard school romance/drama. The characters are quite a bit younger than I am used to for this type of series (usually see mid/late high school but apparently they are still middle school?) and the character design reflects this, I see this as a potential turn off for many people. While the premise of the whole sea/land people is certainly interesting I think it will take a backseat to the romantic drama that will unfold as it was just too obvious to ignore even in the first episode. I wonder how the show will decide to play out from here on as most romance/drama that are non-shoujo that I see are over within a single season but this is getting a long 26 episode run. Definitely glad this is an original instead of an adaptation as at least I won't be tempted to look into the source material or be afraid to look on 4chan because of their lax spoiler rules. |

The story reminds me of Ano Natsu de Matteru, showing you the how almost everyone likes someone different. It's also going to have racism. Don't know what to think of the rest yet. |

| I'm not quite sure what to think about this series. On one hand, the setting is very interesting and everything looks great, but unfortunately I'm finding it hard to like any of the main characters at all and the drama is making it hard for me to enjoy this beautiful setting. So, I'm kinda torn on this series, but I'll definitely keep watching for now, to at least see where this series is heading. |

| I saw this anime only for lack of what to do and not expect it to be a romance with a context very beautiful. Reminded me of Natsu Year matteru, very much. I do not like the genre and for 26 episodes .. Let the next to be conferred in this series is going. |
