Pretty much an all out final battle with the girls taking their roles to the fullest.

Fun series' finale though. It kinda felt like the characters were also having fun with what they're doing despite the dangers being posed. Not to mention, there were moments of emotions too among the chaos. Return of the swimsuits too lol

Eh, I think it was an okay show overall. Nothing really groundbreaking but watchable.

Well Haru and Namino got closer but they are still fighting with each other despite that the managed to save the day and catch a big fish.
The second part of this episode was pretty much fan service with some funny moments.

The girls' squad's first and final challenge into dangerous paths. Haru and Namino still bickering, but finally get their act together. As they always say, an idiot stays an idiot, and it's the case with Haru. Can see the other girls mocking Haru as per usual.

Eh well, all's well that ends well. All cover-ups concluded with the best of results.

Another beach episode again, and follows the OP designs very closely as reference.

It's an OK show at best. Just...literally.

Well, I'd say this was one of the "train wrecks" of the season that ended up turning into something alright but nothing to sing odes about, similar to Conception (unlike My Sister, My Writer which didn't even get a satisfying season ending...now then it probably won't ever get a season 2 either).

I guess this earned the generous 6 from my part, plus I liked the character designs.

A good anime overall, at least it tried to be serious sometimes, just disappointing it’s ending with no news of Maiko’s brother...

Very boring show throughout. Not the worst show this season, but far, far, far from good.

Well, looks like Misapyon wasn't as useless as everyone thought after all.

And with Maiko's brother (and tank 100, if not even more) still missing, there's enough material for a sequel as well, although, like with many other (and often better) series, I have little hope of ever seeing one.

So they ended with a fan service episode, Ruby and Haru are real air heads but I must say Narumi tricked them there. Maiko calls that a swimsuit, shame she became a spoil sport until the end.

Too bad they're still cadets, I guess there will be a sequel to this since Yuda hasn't been found also. That skullhead fish was really something, but the way it died kinda was disappointing, would've been great if they killed it themselves. I see Kagitani has changed his singing tune about the girls.

This season didn't change the whole set of the story and it was a bit mediocre, but I got used to it as it went along. I still think they shouldve made a simple fishing anime about fisherwomen who strived at the sea and break the stereotypes of that world. Instead they incorporated mediocre things, space, pods, deities(who lacked impact in the story, even in the end) and annoying characters. Overall I didn't enjoy it that well, I dragged when I watched it.

I pity the fools who will watch the sequel, 5/10.

I would watch a second season, but I might enjoy the pages of rage over a sequel announcement more than the show itself. :)

I have a better idea now of what I'd like to see from a space CGDCT: something like Star Trek (or perhaps closer to Cowboy Bebop/Firefly) with the girls/women on a constant journey, visiting different planets, and probably trying to help the locals. Like AKB0048, but without the omnipresent conflict.

I feel a sudden urge to watch Bodacious Space Pirates.

Lol the giant SOS sign.

"That's not the worm!"
"Pardon?"
"That's not the worm. That's its tongue..."
Skullhead Marlin!

What the...Is Namino and Haru slipstreaming underwater!? What is this, Initial D? Well I'll take it!

Giant Frozen Marlin! They better bring that thing with them back to Earth!

The floor level doesn't stop at 99...To 100! It's always at Floor 100 where you get that Legendary Summon Drop!

Yeah! They got the Marlin! That better compensate for taking the rocket!

"Well I was planning on training all day..."
"Too bad. I guess we'll have to go without Namino-san."
"W-wait a minute!" Good one!

Gotta save the nice beach episode for last. I like that they stayed consistent with Maiko being conservative with the swimsuit.

Oh come on! The Marlin should have gotten them a hell of a lot more money than that!

Between the Sky and Sea...that's a really awesome title. As for the anime...Well, it had its fun moments. It's also a Slice of Life anime. Each character got their share of the spotlight and had some significance to the central plot which is good although Makoto was the most underwhelming member. The concept of fish disappearing on Earth and having to make fish tanks in space is a bit out there, but anime does what anime does so I didn't mind it. I did like the concept of the Seagull Mech being used to catch fish, although the deity aspect hurt it a bit but of course mobile games. Perhaps the one issue of the series is the discrimination of the girls who weren't considered suitable to become space fishers, and the explanation of why the male fisher acted as such didn't compensate for it very well. The action was not bad, but this anime about space fishing needed more space fishing in it. But no matter, I had some enjoyable moments with the series.

Final Verdict: Not enough Fish in the Sea/10

Space fish tank concept was nice.
Plot was meh...
they have an untold tank 100?
Out of all the girls Maki Makiko might be the sexiest and highly pretty as well.
4/5.
7/10.

eh, overall that was okay. I enjoyed the intereraction between the girls and i found myself surprisingly looking forward to the next episode.

As for this ep, well damn, that is one big-ass fish.
And Misapyon pulled through at the end, she finally did something useful lol

Damn, did not expect the Skull Marlin to be that HUGE, because in the OP the tuna was larger than it. Haru and Namino being chased by it all through out the tank had me on edge.

Misapyon true form? At least they survived.

7/10 if only they did more fishing instead of fooling around.

In the end the girls come out triumphant in their rescue mission.
The girls finally manage to work as a team and save the two men who were trapped.
The fish that appeared after they defeated the king tuna was incredible, its design was totally agressive and intimidating, but even so Haru and Namino defeated it.
The beach day was the best, at last the girls use quality swimsuits, Makiko and Namino looked amazing, Makiko definitely looks good in that red swimsuit. Obviously the episode had to end with Haru and Ruby ruining something.
This anime lacked the element that made me interested, girls fishing giant fish, but at least it had a decent animation and I did not feel that the quality dropped.
The final episode was not the best, but it did not leave an open end, but it was not satisafactory, but at least the girls were recognized by the men who always humiliated them, so that's something, I think.

The Skullhead looks badass like a sea monster, and the chase reminded me of an old Jurassic park arcade game where a T-Rex relentlessly chase the player. They don't have to defeat the marlin, just escape from it... although by luck it's so angry at them it chased them outta the tank. Big catch, the head should be preserved as a trophy.

I have a feeling everyone would have died if Haru was not there to act as bait.

Wonder why it took me 12 episodes to realise their suit looks like the entry-plug suit from NGE.

Makiko had lots of lines this time too, I'm content.

Tank 100 is pretty much deus ex machina but who cares, was fun.

The rating course for me was interesting... started at a 5 at ep1, 4 at ep2, 3 at ep3 (because of Ruby, and it "earned" to be placed "on hold" because of her). Last week I restarted it and it went to 4 straight again, lol. Finally after ep11 it got its initial 5 back, because ep10&11 were way better than the rest of the series.

Well, sad that some plot points were still unresolved, and I am not able to like the quite "cheap" / "trashy" image of this series. Still it had a solid plot and nice girls interaction (though I think it was too lighthearted sometimes).

I would definitely watch a second season, it's not good but watchable.

I find Maiko's broken Japanese really cute! She's my favorite character in the whole anime!

But boi, MakiMaki is thicc af

oh dang, Narumi is hot af too

In all seriousness this is show is not that bad as many people make it seem as, i would say this anime tried its best and deserves some credit for that.

6/10 - Dont pull any unwanted trap cards pls.

Man, reading some of the reviews going into this show, you'd have thought it was the worst anime ever made. People are so jaded. I'm not saying this was amazing, but it was entertaining, and I really enjoyed the character development. 6/10 for me. Probably would have been a 7, but there was just something missing....

Had a terrible start, but it did get better. Needed more space fishing though.

The brother's still alive, huh? In tank 100? Right, then. Not like we'll ever get a 2nd season. Also, I find it funny how the last episode turned into a random beach episode lol.

So long, space fishing anime. Ruby best girl.

Well it was a fun series. I never expected anything. I just went along with the ride. lol

It was a fun cute girls doing space fishing. If would've been better if they did more space fishing and saving the brother at the end thou. It just had to end at a random beach scene. Ruby and Haru accidentally spending all the money to buy them swimsuits until they realize it was the reward money is hilarious.

It manage to be entertaining but dull at times. Haru was annoying at first, but she and ruby were the most entertaining characters. Also it was amusing to hear their accents.

I will probably wait for a sequel, and its probably a Movie than a Season 2. All 6 Main characters covered their own backstories so thats a plus, the only thing to do is save Maiko's Brother and lived happily ever after. If the sequel turned out to be a 2nd season, it will be filled with fan-service and cover some backgrounds from Kazutani and Mitz... and other supporting roles like the Canned Girls and some romance from the Trap. (Kehehe)
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I was reading the reviews when I finished the series and thought to myself “y’all are being to harsh on this show” like it ain’t god worthy but like it was pretty entertaining most of the time and I love how the characters actually do get development by the end of it and oddly enough Haru became my favorite by the end of it
