| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Riko thinks that Lyza's letter message is met for her. I'm not surprised that an argument broke out considering how dangerous a trip down to the Abyss can be. Good amount of storytelling about the world fiction this episode too. For an fantasy adventure, I think this show does a neat job at getting viewers to understand its world. |

| Amazing episode! I really loved the adaptation. The backgrounds continue to be absolutely stunning. I cried at the end, it's the start of the adventure, a long long adventure ;_;. |

| Regu does his first cave-raid and unsurprisingly doesn't get sick. The ending scene with the goodbyes was quite emotional. Well, the long awaited adventures starts. |

| Definitely excited to see the rest of this series, there's been a lot of build-up to the dangers of the abyss, and now they're finally beginning their descent... Leader totally knew what was going on, and knew trying to stop them would just be delaying the inevitable at best. Whatever Reg noticed in his pack was definitely something Leader put there. Aaaaand the poor little kid is going to die on his birthday :( I'm not sure how much more we're going to see of the people at the top of the abyss or what events can still be shown there to make that plot thread a valuable part of the story, but Chekhov's Gun is locked and loaded... |

| Great episode overall with just some minor part cut. Despite how colorful epsiode 1 and 2 portray Orth as the city of hope, brimming with energy, the slum represents the looming shadow of Orth, with slum children usually died of young age. Nat is one of the lucky ones to get picked up by the orphanage, which in turn motivates him to build an orphanage in the slum, maybe with Riko by his side. Too bad for him, his first crush instead decides to do a suicidal dive, clinging on flimsy hope to reunite with her mother at the depth of the abyss and poor Nat can do nothing but to witness how the darkness of the abyss swallow both Riko and Reg... |

| Wow i'm actually starting to get hyped by this anime. Its a shame that anime with so much potential,such a deep lore and beautiful world only have 12 episodes,i hope a sequel is in march. |

| Great episode, loved it. It was really cool to learn about the structure of the abyss or at least whatever is known about it's structure till date. 6 layers known till now, I wonder what's below that. I hope that horror story that Nat told Reg was just a story. The send off was really emotional and so, our adventure begins. I'm super excited to see what lies in store for us in each of the Abyss's various levels and whatever lies beyond. |

| Great worldbuilding once again, we get more information about the layers of the Abyss. Obviously the 6th one really interests me. Nat made this episode really emotional, he likes Riko and he had to let go. Poor kid ;-; The real story and adventure begins now. Leader definitely knew and didn't stop them. Was probably him who put that in Reg's bag, wonder what it is. That one scene with Reg and Nat on the stairs was phenomenal, the music was PERFECT. |

| The people doing the backgrounds for this series deserve so much praise. They are just so beautiful and well drawn. Just the overall feel of this anime is so well put together. |

| Well, the adventure begins. This show is demostrating that a huge adventure will come, the characters are good, the backgrounds incredible and the story catching. Also the crativity of every phase in the Abyss is very good. This show is promising. |
