'Anohana' Staff Produces 'Fureru.' Original Anime Movie for Fall 2024

Entertainment company Aniplex opened an official website for an original movie titled Fureru. on Wednesday, revealing the main staff, announcement promo, and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime movie is scheduled for a Fall 2024 premiere.

Fureru. is an original anime movie created by the director, scriptwriter, and character designer of the Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai. (Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day) television anime, which aired in Spring 2011. They have also worked together for both the Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda. (The Anthem of the Heart) and Sora no Aosa wo Shiru Hito yo (Her Blue Sky) original anime movies, which premiered in September 2015 and October 2019, respectively.

@ZXEAN I don't know, the director calls the main characters "boys" and it seems that the two in the trailer are still too big. Although yes, as I said above, there is clearly a female hand flashing in the trailer.

@_MushiRock11_ I don’t know what it will really be about, but the rather vague announcement of the director and the hand-holding of the all-male main cast in the teaser seem to already attract a certain audience to this anime. A little strange considering that Mari Okada is usually known for writing stories about suffering teenage girls and dysfunctional relationships.

Ano Hana is my very first conscious anime and an important one for me, I watched it very close to around its release date. I have changed a lot since then, I can only imagine the staff has too. Would like to live to see what they cook up this time.

Keeping up with the approximate 4.5-year tradition (although this is hitting the 5-year mark, but let's not be too picky), that's nice to see!

I've enjoyed each of the pieces they've come up with, and I'm almost certain this will be to my liking as well. Can't wait to see more on this!

I might check it out, but I haven't found their post Ano Hana projects very compelling. I would prefer a new full TV series.
