Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou adapts Ryou Shirakome's adventure fantasy light novel, which he originally launched on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in November 2013. Overlap began publishing the novel with illustrations by TakayaKi in June 2015 and shipped the 11th volume last July. The light novel has a cumulative 5 million copies of its volumes in print, including digital editions.

RoGa began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo web manga portal in February 2016. The seventh compiled volume shipped on October 24 last year.

J-Novel Club licensed the light novel in February 2017 and released the 11th volume digitally on December 14. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and its manga adaptation for physical release in July and September 2017, respectively. The publisher shipped the sixth manga volume on March 9 and the 11th light novel volume on April 13.

This is great news, Arifureta is one of my Top 3 Anime's EVER. Please ignore the elitist about the story and the animation of season 1. They did a way better job then the garbage Manga and this was not a anime that was going to get 47 seasons. They had to cut stuff. Long Live Shia and Yaegashi.

January? Well, better than nothing :s
Hoping it will be like the first few eps of s1, or like ep 11 or 13...and not like the rest =D

looking forward to watching s2 despite the abomination that happened in s1.
the LN somewhat ok but s1 adaptation narrative and creative-wise are an absolute disaster.

I think the more you read, the better the LN gets, but certainly is not for everyone, but there are some really damm amazing fights later on, plus I just came to enjoy the harem girls a lot, especially Shea, so an improved S2 would be a sweet deal, not that I have watched S1, but I plan to eventually.

The studio isn't White Fox this time but looking at the PV, there wasn't much improvement.
Although rushed it's nice that they're still adapting this.

I'm not too surprised since from what I heard White Fox was just helping Asread finish the first season.

And by the end of 2021 it will be even higher...
