 The official website for the second season of Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou (Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest) revealed additional cast and a new key visual (pictured) on Friday. The anime will premiere on January 13 at 11:30 p.m. on AT-X followed by Tokyo MX and BS11.Katsuyuki Konishi (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) and Makoto Ishii (Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor - Exodus) are joining the cast as the demons Freid Bagwa and Mikhail, respectively. A co-production between asread. and studio MOTHER, the anime's second season is helmed by Akira Iwanaga (Kingdom 2nd Season). Shouichi Satou is in charge of the series composition and script. Chika Kojima (Big Order) is returning as the chief animation director and character designer. Ryou Takahashi (SK∞) is composing the music. Taiwanese YouTube artist MindaRyn (Sakugan) is performing the opening theme "Daylight." The first season, co-produced by asread and White Fox, aired in 13 episodes in Summer 2019. Funimation simulcast the anime with subtitles and subsequently streamed an English dub. Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou adapts Ryou Shirakome's adventure fantasy light novel, which he originally launched on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in November 2013. Overlap began publishing the novel with illustrations by TakayaKi in June 2015, with the 12th volume set to be published on July 26 next year.
