Manga 'Enen no Shouboutai' Receives TV Anime Adaptation

An official website opened for a TV anime adaptation of Atsushi Ookubo's sci-fi action manga Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force) on Wednesday. The series will be produced by animation studio David Production.

Synopsis
The city of Tokyo is plagued by a deadly phenomenon: spontaneous human combustion! Luckily, a special team is there to quench the inferno: The Fire Force! The fire soldiers at Special Fire Cathedral 8 are about to get a unique addition. Enter Shinra, a boy who possesses the power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous "devil's footprints" (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can Shinra and his colleagues discover the source of this strange epidemic before the city burns to ashes? (Source: Kodansha Comics)

Ookubo launched Enen no Shouboutai in Weekly Shounen Magazine in September 2015, two years after ending the serialization of Soul Eater. Kodansha shipped the 14th volume on August 17. The 15th compiled volume will go on sale this Friday.

Kodansha Comics licensed the manga in English in July 2016 and published the 12th volume on October 16. The 13th volumes is planned for a December 14 release.

Bruh have you seen the fire scene in the latest episode of JJBA? DP is definitely the best studio for this job.

Awesome. Not as good as soul eater, but it's still a good manga and should be a good anime. Plus David Production, this should be.....interesting....
