Yes I definitely conquer on you with that one! It's funny because on the forums we recently had a discussion where we all asked each other how would we react if an anime character came to life, but in 3D form. For me personally I would have found that a bit too awkward. Even though I guess a 3D person talking to a 2D character would probably be seen that way by a lot of people. XD

Right? I guess I'm a bit different on this situation, unless it's the Nintendo first party games which sadly never come down in price, and unless it's a series I really super duper want to buy day one I usually will just wait for the prices to come down. On average it only takes a matter of months for that to happen. Sonic Superstars is a perfect example of this, I was really looking forward to playing the game but the price was a bit higher than I was willing to pay for it at the time. So I waited like a month or two and was able to snag it for $20 brand new and sealed. Again I guess it just depends on the series and how badly you want it at the moment. Nothing wrong with that, and it helps to support the development of the game more.

Oh nice by Crunchyroll themselves huh? Sounds like you have a lot more official ones than we have over here. In my neck of the woods you can tell it's just the fans getting together to scrounge money and donations to make it all happen. The adult experience was pretty hilarious actually, one of the people that was hosting the event even made us all raise our hands halfway through to make sure they were still free, if you get my drift. XD We all burst it out laughing.

Funny enough I remember when the original Xbox was in its beta form, it literally was a giant x shaped console. I doubt Microsoft was planning to keep it that way, but still could you just imagine? XD

Yeah sadly I tend to agree. In a way I kind of wish the Nintendo fans wouldn't, because I'm afraid this will start a trend. In fact I don't know if you heard but Microsoft just yesterday announced that they're raising their system prices by $100 and games will go up to $80 by Christmas. I really hope this doesn't start a snowball effect, guess we just have to wait for Sony to do it next.

Yes David Wise did return, though just for tropical freeze which is already a pretty old game. I'm really hoping he does something for the upcoming DK game. And I do agree, if Nintendo charges $80 for their games but it would include all future DLC bundled with it that would be awesome.

Sounds like it really is growing over there in Texas for you. I remember buying some little mini figures and keychains at the anime events that I went to. They even had, in the final hours in the day of the convention, a special screening room where you could watch certain adult anime. If you get my drift? I actually attended one out of curiosity, and boy was it hilarious watching that kind of content with others.

I must admit anime based off of video games are certainly getting a lot better. Maybe the curse is finally lifting! Hahaha! I mean if the Sonic movies can make millions of dollars, then anime based off of video games can do it as well. Valkyrie Chronicles is probably one of my standout examples of this. You ever play the series?

Awww that's a shame. I really like it when the creators can find a way to stitch the world's somehow together. Honestly I was very curious to know if Star Ocean The last Hope was still at the beginning of the timeline. Now that I think about it I wonder why they gave it a title like that considering it was supposed to be a prequel? XD maybe it's the same individuals who gave the Xbox consoles their name. Hahaha!

Funny thing is that Doug Bowser recently did an interview with cmsnbc and stated that tariffs had nothing at all to do with their prices. They chose those prices because that's what they felt their games and systems were worth. So I'm not sure what to think anymore. 🤷‍♂️ Oh yeah I'm a huge fan of the Donkey Kong series myself. I was so happy to see that David Wise was able to return to conduct some of the musical scores for tropical freeze. The dude is still on point! I'm hoping that happens again for this current entry.

Oh sweet! How did you enjoy your convention? I live in a poor state in my area and while we do have anime conventions here as well, they are quite small. But hey, beggars can't be choosers in my case. 😭

Hahaha! Thank you for my understanding of me overlooking stuff. Yeah I find that anime and video games are kind of an intertwined thing, usually if people are into one they are into the other.

Right! I do recall them having a skin for KOS-MOS announced back in the day. I love how even the Zohar makes a small appearance in the original Xenoblade 2.

Yes that's the one! I remember back in the day of being exclusive to the Xbox 360, but later got an enhanced version on the PS3. I really do wish I would have waited and bought it on that console instead. Do all of the Star Ocean games link up to one another? Or are they more nods to previous entries?

Well from what we've been hearing the Nintendo switch to will cost $450 USD, and the bundle which comes with a digital version of Mario kart World will be $500 USD. People have really been displeased about games costing $80, it was actually even worse when Nintendo first announced that physical games were going to cost $90, but then shortly change their mind afterwards. The new donkey Kong bananaza looks like a lot of fun. The first 3D donkey Kong game since the N64 days, I don't think I'll ever get used to him wearing pants though. 🤣

Okay I feel like a complete goofball, I had no idea that you mentioned your love for gaming in your profile description. Doh'! 🤣

Glad we see eye to eye on the Sci-fi genre. Personally I can't get enough of it. One of the reasons why I'm such a big Star Trek fan. You mentioned a masked character on Xenosaga, are you referring to the Testaments? There was a red and purple one in the first game. Hahaha! I know what you mean, sometimes it just feels like there aren't enough hours in the day. I need to delve more into Star Ocean myself, the only entry I played in the series was on the Xbox 360. Can't remember which version that was. The combat was fun though!

Nice selection of games there! Couldn't help but notice you mentioned Zelda in your post. Any thoughts on the Switch 2? Needless to say it's been gaining a lot of controversy lately.

A fellow jrpg fan I see! *high five* You mentioned some really heavy hitters there. Since you seem big into the Xenoblade series, have you ever had a chance to play the original Xenosaga on the PS2? It's still my all-time favorite RPG ever. Has a nice sci-fi theme to it if you're into that sort of stuff. The story is split into three separate titles too, with each continuing into the other. It was a really big deal back in the day.

Aside from jrpgs, what would you say your other favorite genres are?

You're making me want to look into owning one now. Might be worth the time and effort to take care of them. Poor babies!

I'm honestly not sure on his breed. He's a traditional black looking cat, but almost turns into a velvet style color whenever the sunlight hits him. Is that any particular type of breed you know of?

Ooh a Sphinx huh? I heard those breeds can be pretty pricey. They are marvel to look at though. 🤩

Ah I can definitely relate! Sometimes adulting can really get in the way of things we want to do. Yeah my other cat kind of came in a similar way. My sister found a bunch of cats abandoned in a box and we took one of them in, while giving the others away to our local shelter. Do you have any favorite breeds?
