'3-gatsu no Lion' Additional Cast Members Announced

The official website for Fall 2016 anime 3-gatsu no Lion has revamped and announced additional cast members. The cast member for Harunobu Nikaidou, who will be voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto (Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin), has already been announced last Friday along with 2-minute sneak peak video. The anime will start on October 8, 2016 via NHK on 11:00 p.m.

Kyouko Kouda: Marina Inoue (Kyoukai no Rinne (TV))
Yuusuke Takahashi: Yoshimasa Hosoya (Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen - Zetsubou-hen)
Kai Shimada: Shinichiro Miki (Bleach)
Tatsuyuki Misumi: Tomokazu Sugita (Cheer Danshi!!)
Issa Matsumoto: Subaru Kimura (Doraemon (2005))
Someji Kawamoto: Shigeru Chiba (Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho)
Masachika Kouda: Tooru Ookawa (Sengoku Basara)
Takashi Hayashida: Takahiro Sakurai (Mob Psycho 100)

I'm in it for the Kyouko drama, the rest is pretty darn boring if you ask me, save for a couple of Rei's matches. A bit surprised at Inoue as Kyouko, but I'll be judging after I have a listen.

the visual style really resembles arakawa under bridge and it was good thing... TBH, i kinda hoping like koufuku grafiti, but this one is even better than i expected since i have low expectation. lol. hope shaft can redeem them self with this one [mekaku and nisekoi, T_T]

Same artist, same writer. It's very similar if we're talking about characters and feeling. We even have Morita-like character.

The irony is that Shinbo himself is directing for the first time in years and is the one to take Shaft away from the template he helped develop.

I like the watercolour backdrops but the art and animation isn't anything to write home about, well at least there were no CGI in sight.

Maybe, but I just meant more like this is so weird since I'm already used to Shinbo's style in the works, so its not a bad thing, it's more of something like feeling weird in a way for the studio at hand.

I gotta agree with this, at least for 3-gatsu. Shafts usual visual gimmickery would have really clashed with the tone of the manga so I'm glad that they toned down their visual identity in favour of creating a faithful adaptation of the source material.

The less it looks like an average Shaft production the better, that's for sure.

I like the cast but it doesn't look like a Shaft production at all to me. Maybe something from Paniponi Dash! but certainly unlike anything recent that I can think of. Maybe not a bad thing or maybe they'll toss a head til in somewhere but overall I'm not that impressed with the look of the PV.

Well I say about these tags primarily, art reminded me a mix Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso and Isshuukan Friends.
