Main Cast Members of TV Anime '3-gatsu no Lion' Revealed

The 15th issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine, which will be released on July 22, will announce the main cast members of the Fall 2016 anime 3-gatsu no Lion. The anime adaptation Chika Umino's manga will premiere in October 2016.

Rei Kiriyama: Kengo Kawanishi (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans)
Akari Kawamoto: Ai Kayano (No Game No Life)
Hinata Kawamoto: Kana Hanazawa (Nisekoi)
Momo Kawamoto: Misaki Kuno (Kiznaiver)

Couldn't they have chosen anyone other than Kana Hanazawa? If she does her usual cutesy plain voice, it's going to be a real annoyance.

The cast is good. Dunno the MC's VA but others are at least decent.

Really interesting how SHAFT will handle this and if it will be shafty enough for me.

This is probably my most anticipated show for the Fall season that isn't a new season of a preexisting show. There is a lot of good behind this show already, and this cast just adds to it.

All round excellent choices. While HanaKana's voice acting sound a bit tedious for all her roles with little to no variations, I think she fits well with Hinata's character. Kayano Ai is a supreme VA, so I am sure she will nail Akari's voice. Kuno Misaki as Momo will work out well because of her high pitch voice (even though it can get a bit annoying at times like Niko or Hawk-chan). But I am mostly looking forward to Mikazuki as Rei. Kengo did an excellent job and I do think it was his breakthrough performance as a seiyuu so I am glad that he got such a fantastic role.

I can guarantee at least one thing, the story is absolutely adorable. It's not at the same level as HnC, but it's still very heart-warming. I don't think SHAFT as a studio ever worked on similar stories, so I am kinda excited to see how they fare in this.

Would just have been awesome if my other Fav VA, Hiroshi Kamiya would have had a main role, but... HANAKANA yusssss

Misaki Kuno should work quite well for her character, couldn't think of a better VA the role.

Shaft + Kana Hanazawa? That's a must watch as a fanboy of both. The plot also looks good, so I already have a new anime to watch in Fall.
