'Isobe Isobee Monogatari: Ukiyo wa Tsurai yo' Gets New Anime Adaptation
Isobe Isobee Monogatari is written and illustrated by Ryo Nakama and has eight volumes in print. It was originally a one-shot published in May 2013 to fill a slot vacated by the suspension of One Piece; however, due to the tremendous amount of positive feedback it received, the magazine continued it as a serialization.
Synopsis
In this ukiyoe-style manga, Isobe Isobee is a lazy, slacker samurai with big dreams. He lives with his mother, who thinks highly of him. He lays around the house, sneakily looks at Edo-period pornography without his mother noticing, naps at school... but he plans to become a respectable samurai one day! (Source: MangaHelpers)

Is it that manga that's always at the bottom of Jump rankings?
That's the Table of Contents. It doesn't always reflect the rankings. In Isobee's case it seems to just be right at the back every issue for the sake of some sort of gimmick. In other words, we have absolutely no idea how well it ranks.

So that's what the "important annoucement" was.
It was either something anime related like this or cancellation... Kinda sad but it's been consistently dead last in the jump reader polls
"Important announcement" is always ALWAYS a good announcement, so is impossible for it to have been a cancellation.
Also you totally missed the week were it was announced that this anime got special treatment and so it would appear all weeks at the end of the Magazine! In other words it isn't ranked, and is special.
Also this is not the first time something like this happens in the Magazine. Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar manga also get this treatment and stayed in the magazine for an entire decade.
You better to expect something similar from Isobe Isobee Monogatari
Thanks for the clarification. I was beginning to wonder....
I had heard something about special treatment, but I had thought that it meant that it had a lower chance of being cancelled even if was rated lowly (instead of automatically being last place and not taking place in the polls).
I guess it's too early for the next cancellation round anyway
