The 38th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump, which released today, has announced that the anime adaptation of Boku no Hero Academia will be getting a special episode to be screened during this year's Jump Festa Anime tour on November 27 and December 4. The special episode is an original story, planned by the mangaka Kouhei Horikoshi, that will take place between the first and second seasons.

Jump Festa is an event that takes place in several big cities, with this year's being hosted in five cities across Japan. The event hosts anime screenings and cast member talk shows where series that are serialized in the Shounen Jump magazines are shown. So far, the other works that have been announced to participate are Shokugeki no Souma, Sousei no Onmyouji, and Isobe Isobee Monogatari: Ukiyo wa Tsurai yo. More information will be announced in the 39th issue releasing on August 29, 2016.

Boku no Hero Academia began its serialization July 2014 and received a 13-episode anime adaptation by studio Bones in Spring 2016. The TV anime was licensed and simulcast by FUNimation Entertainment. Viz media licensed the manga, with the fifth volume released in August.

Taking place between the two seasons...

I really hope that means we'll get to see the character in the shadow from the key visual for season 2. Looking forward to see who will voice him. Also, Jump Festa Special will announce an anime adaptation of one of their titles. I'm guessing it'll likely be Black Clover.

Looks you're right. :)
It really is Black Clover. Now, I wonder what studio will be doing it.

I read the manga before the anime came out. It was really boring and will probably end badly just like naruto and bleach or any manga running in the shounen jump magazine.
Except Hunter x Hunter, One Piece, Haikyuu,Medaka Box, Kuroko,Jojo, Rurouni Kenshin of course

Yay, More BnHA is always great. :D

Now if only we get that S2 release date.

I'd bet on it being in Winter or Spring next year since they're pretty free that time (for now).

I wonder if it's really an original story. Anyway, good to hear we're getting more BokuHero.
