I just watched a bit of a playthrough for Gears of War 2 and it got to Maria’s death (Dom’s Wife) and it made me think about the first time I played it and how I cried my eyes out.

What video games made you bawl like a baby?

Hmm when I played Hotline Miami for the first time and reached the true ending and pieced it all together I was like "Holy sh!t...this is crazy," but it didn't hit me in the feels in a crying sort of way. More like make me feel bad. Same thing with MGSV. Luckily I played nonlethal just because it is a bigger challenge.

None, but there were plenty of times in Persona 4 where I got more emotionally involved than usual, particularly with Chie and Nanako.

The universe of Portal managed to make me cry. It's one of the rare games that made me feel empty after I finished them.

Half-Life is also a game that moved me. Yet I played it as a kid, I didn't really understand the story, I was just progressing through the game without a clue of what's going on around me. When Black Mesa came out, I rushed to play it. In my opinion it's so well-done that it gives you perfectly the feels of what's going on. Plus I was older so I got to understand better how dark the story is...

Furi, despite its paper-thin story, short length and action-oriented gameplay , really manages to outclass the competion when it comes to telling a powerful story. Hit me harder than anything since ages.

@DrFunnyFun Valve really had a thing to tell stories. Between the absence of unplayable cutscenes, mute character, and attention to detail, HL and Portal are really great stories.
And despite that tons of AAA games still start with 30 mins of boring af unskippable cutscenes >.>

Persona 3... never forget.

As for Visual Novels, Little Busters, some parts on Rewrite, and a certain ending of Subarashiki Hibi. I believe there are more but I couldn't exactly remember if I did actually cry on the scenes.

Persona 4 - this music and dungeon theme hit right on the spot.

Other than that the first season of TWD - especially it's ending. The episode on the farm was also quite memorable (that meat twist).

I would say that Persona 3, its end is very significant and emotional, besides that the message that the game leaves you is very beautiful.

Also the end of MGS 3 caused me sad, also both games are of my favorites

Got quite a few games that get me a lot:
-Steins;Gate (While all the endings were emotional, Stardust Sky (Mayuri's ending) and Paradox Meltdown (Kurisu's ending) hit me the hardest)
-Final Fantasy X-2 (Normal Ending)
-Final Fantasy X (Ending)
-Senran Kagura Estival Versus (from Day 6 to Day 8 is the bulk of the emotion.)
-Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus (The Hanzo Path and Hebijo Path mainly)
-Fire Emblem Awakening (The ending where you sacrifice your avatar to end Grima for good.)

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus [the Sisters Arc of the story about Ryobi, Ryona and Ryoki]

Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus [when Murasaki got shot, and Imu going nuts, hit me in the feels]

can't think of any others at the min

One more plus to Persona 3.

I bawled at the ending of Persona 3.
I cried a little at the ending of Persona 4.
I didn't get any emotional at the ending of Persona 5.

Are Persona games getting suck in the feels department or am I becoming colder?

Bioshock Infinite. It wasn't a game that made me cry per se, but the second DLC that tied the story in with the original was masterfully done. I felt all kinds of emotions while playing through that, and especially afterward while watching a more technical analysis of how it all fell together.

Don't think any game made me cry before, but plenty of them had heartwarming endings. Stella Glow, Final Fantasy X, and Tales of the Abyss are some good examples.

Zero Escape: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors.
I will never look at that puzzle the same way ever again.

Final Fantasy Legend II
Surprisingly enough, the very first game that I played had a really emotional moment in it, especially with the song that accompanied said scene:

Breath of Fire II
This game was dark. There were many moments in the game where I just sat there in silence...

Persona 2
Unpopular opinion, but among all the Persona games, this hit me the hardest. After playing Innocent Sin and reaching Eternal Punishment's ending, I was left in awe for a pretty long time. The ending of Eternal Punishment in particular is something that I find very rare in stories in general.
