 The first 2018 issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine is revealing on Monday that Jasmine Gyuh's Back Street Girls manga will receive a TV anime adaptation.Synopsis A group of three yakuza failed their boss for the last time. After messing up an important job, the boss gave them two choices: Honorably committing suicide, or go to Thailand to get a sex reassignment surgery in order to become "female" idols. After a gruesome year-long training to become idols, they successfully debut, with overwhelming popularity, much to their dismay. This is where their tragedy truly begins. | At the very least, I'll argue that the premise is unique and hasn't been done before. Probably worth watching even if I got no idea where it's going to go. I mean I love idols and adding a yakuza element even if they are sex-changed would make the characters different from the norm, so it could potentially be a lot of fun. I'll wait and see I guess. |

| This has been on my PTR list. XD Honestly, knew about this already. Also, 10/10 on that summary. Like, so happy this is getting an anime also what a time to be alive when this and Banana Fish are getting adaptations. I think anime is becoming great again! This is some serious throwback to 80's exploitation. Been going on since Parasyte. |
