| Because these shows want to pander to the lowest common denominator because they have no actual quality in terms of writing and characterization. This trope is insultingly bad, both in the boob grab portion and in what tends to follow: the girl bestingthe shit out of MC disproportionately for a stupid accident. The only show that I've seen use this somewhat tolerably is fucking Fairy Tail since the girl in the situation just stands there embarrassed while the guy gets punched by someone else who saw the incident. For once, the woman didn't try to best the shit out if the MC for an accident that is admittedly bolstered by stupidity and his friend gave him their word'a equivalent of a slap on the wrist. Basically, if this trope is gonna happen, don't let the characters treat it as the ultimate offense. Better yet, remove this abysmal trope entirely. |
