| I think this one is my fav ep outta the whole bunch. I also think that Naoko is my fav of the girl's Kintaro goes after in the series (not to mention, she does in fact come back into the story for a bit from what I've read in the manga). Anyways, I love some of the very slight background dialogue you have to listen closely for in certain scenes (like when the car is passing by advertising for the re-election: "Vote for him and nobody gets hurt! He'll bake ya bread!" or the last line as the thugs beat up on Kintaro before Naoko steps in "I WANT TO LIVE IN AMERICA!") Give it a listen, you'll see... |

| I think what I like about Golden Boy so far is that's extremely unapologetic. It's not afraid to insult or belittle, but it doesn't do so without a huge amount of charm. However, that's also a very dangerous move to take. The moment this series decides to be serious is the moment it stops trying to be fun, which is its main quality that prevents it from being something quite disturbing actually. The stars must have really aligned for this dub to have been made. |

| She was such a flirt who thought she was so clever but Kintaro saw right through her kinky innocent act. It didn't make things any less enjoyable for either of them as the mind games went on though. Instead of fighting the unfairness of it all, he embraced it much to her surprise and went with his real feelings like a man anyway. | UNBELIEVABRRU - top tier voice acting The only reason I don't find the pervertedness as annoying is bc mc is actually likeable. She may have been manipulating him but he was doing the same thing, and I think they both benefited from each other being deceitful.
