| Hello there. The kid did not die. As seen in episode's final minutes, Motoko left a few snippets of unsolicited advice to the kid. She told him that his enemies are powerful and he should move away and change his profession if he wants to live longer. She also told him to forget about being like Kuze. We are left to assume that the kid contemplated on the Major's word. Maybe he heeded her advice, well its really up to your imagination to predict its outcome. |

| 5/5 Episode favorable even for fans of fanservice, do not say that there is only the plot and in GITS action! :P Plot that brings the story forward but with skill, you go off seemingly out of context or not, not bad. Ambiguous narrative, you do not even understand this time if the kid has an ulterior motive or challenge fate to reach his goal. Major exhibition for the umpteenth time his emotional side. Discrete designs. |

I believe, that he got infected by Goda's virus when Kuze tried to read the Individual Eleven thesis. Goda plant that virus on a file that's said to be about revolution, so that people who were looking for revolutionary content, such as Kuze (a dude deep inside the refugges) got infected with it and started following Goda's plan without asking, but Kuze did ask, Kuze mutated the virus and didn't got killed back at the episode when the Individual Eleven slashed their heads on the rooftop of the building. Just me guessing. |

| That episode filler was a nice little break and a nice focus on the major. I love how the major didn't give an eff about gender norms like being topless after coming out of a shower or running through a men's bathhouse without hesitating. Despite appearances, she can beat down your ass or shoot you in the face. It's little effort to her. |
