| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yang looks to be enjoying a happy married life but duty will have to call again. With all the heavy monitoring he'll need to be careful how he goes about it. I wonder where Julian knows Katerose from? I don't recall them ever intorducing her and the name doesn't look familiar. I guess all will be revealed in due time. |

| Hmm, another new season. The animation seems improved again, enjoyed the new OP's and EP. Wonder when Reinhard will actually have that long hair, lol. Man this series is crazy, it almost feels like it's just begun. Can't wait to see this develop and I'm still wondering what the Earth force can really do ... they must have some kind of secret technology or something. |

| Seems like every time everything is about to cool off and be happy something begins to crop up for our heroes. Merkatz is pretty cool and I enjoyed some of the comedy in this episode. Good start for the new season looks like it will be great. Hooray being halfway done! |

| Nice wedding. Poplan was funny as usual, nice enough to play matchmaker with Julian. Alliance surveillance would probably drive their car into Yang's bedroom. And I still dont understand Merkatz's mindset and motives, what exactly does he want and what/who is he fighting for? |

Given that he was ready to end his life before Yang trusted him, isn't he now fiercely loyal to Yang? His admiral has given him an order, albeit rather vague, which he is still carrying out. Maybe that's oversimplistic and I suppose he could still harbour loyalty to the Goldenbaum Dynasty. Perhaps, the fact that he still wears that imperial uniform is significant, in that it could either indicate aforementioned loyalty or perhaps simply symbolise that an old warhorse is just carrying on with what he's been doing all his life. |

| Aside from seeing how Reinhard is handling the Empire and wanting to move the capital to Phezzan, this feels like the most hillarious episode yet. It doesn't end with Cazellnu cracking on Yang at his wedding, the whole thing gets taken to the bar where everyone has him set up as a punching bag. XD In any case, it's good to know that Yang hasn't totally immersed himself into the retired life; he's got Merkatz on standby, preparing a fleet for what will obviously be intended for the upcomming battles with the Empire. What a great start for the third season. :D |

| I really love the new opening and ending (especially the opening). Great start to the new season. Seems like there will not be that much military action in the near future, seeing Yang is retired for now and only has 60 ships. Looking forward to Julians journey to earth :) |

| uhm where should i start from...lol :P it was almost a perfect start for the 3rd season ^^,Yang's finally happy and living his life,i'm happy for him :),but i have the feeling he'll be back sometimes soon Julian's off to a trip on mother earth with his womanizer buddy :p that girl he fell for is cute,i wonder how'll things turn out between them the opening song is as awesome as the 1st and the 2nd...the ED song is also good,but not as good as the 2nd ED...i think that it'll become very nostalgic at some point in the series(Julian is looking at some pictures from Yang's wedding,and the lyrics are about the happy times) *God i hope that Yang will not die* the ED might become my favorite if it will make me nostalgic,but for now i find it only decent epic... 5/5 |

| I love Poplan. He's just such a contrast to the rest of the serious, yet the show doesn't play it off over the top. As for Merkatz. I see it like this. He came to Yang, and gave him his life. Now Yang has done the same thing to him. Yang could have asked any one of his subordinates, Attenburogh specifically comes to mind, to take the job of being "KIA" and leading the small force. Though I can definitly see where everyone others are confused about what and who exactly he is doing. |

| I have a feeling the name Kreutzer has popped up before for a minor character, maybe one of the nobility? I can't be sure but I would notice that name because of the Beethoven sonata. There are so many characters that aren't really listed anywhere, for example that man in the high council building who looked like Clark Gable will probably never appear again. The first time I saw Lennenkampf I thought he looks like Stalin. Now they've trimmed his moustache a bit but there's still some resemblance. And Merkatz is just like Burt Reynolds. Also, Louis Mashengo must be the only black person in the universe. |
| The first 15 seconds really caught me off guard: "Alright, new season! New OP!" "Oh shit." I loved everything about this episode. The new OP, the new ED, the parallels between Reinhard's and Yang's respective ceremonies, Schenkopp in a purple tux, Schenkopp in a red tux, hearing that Reinhard's ambition to rule the universe involves moving the capital to Phezzan, hearing Merkatz expand upon his lot in life...everything was perfect. Actually, scratch that. I hate that Julian fell for another girl when his destiny is to be with Charlotte. |

| The idea here is kind of stupid, wait until things settle down, and THEN cause trouble? So waiting until the people are happy, then kick up a fuss so that you can bring back their happiness . . . Too be honest, I would much rather be a citizen under Reinhard's rule than that democracy which was more incompetent than the US. And that is saying something. |
